    I'd love to know how you craft every day & yet you always have a perfect manicure. I keep up with my nails, & they still look as if a small animal had gotten to them after a day in the craft room. :o)

    Alexandra, This was great. I could not imagine anything you could tell me about adhesives that I didn’t already know.… But I was wrong. I do mat most of my cards and I struggle a bit trying to get them perfectly centered. (Truthfully I can’t even cut them perfectly and that shows up too.)
    But just yesterday I found myself having used liquid glue carefully taking my card front off of my matting piece so that I could reposition it a little bit more centrally. I have to tell you that I think your tip on the glue tape and making the little feet is just brilliant. I haven’t tried it yet but I will tonight!! Thank you!

    fabulous..thank you ! I have never had card stock ripple or wrinkle, ever. Have had problems with scrapbook paper and glue. just discovered the Nuvo glue from Betty, my Art Club teacher...and found the Art Glitter Glue last year. It is also wonderful adhesive. Have had problems with my 714 ATG gun lately. Have had it a good 10+ years, and only lately I have had to mess with the tape as the roll gets half way used.. no clue why this is now happening. Sometimes I've had to take the roll off and reverse it..?? once again, thank you for the fantastic review !

    I agree with Rucha. I love all the cool stencils that are out there and the beautiful glimmering things that you can use however cleaning them is sometimes a nightmare. I love almost everything Tonic . . . when it comes to their glimmer pastes (which have been out for a year or two ). even though they’re beautiful. After spending hours literally more than one hour trying to clean that stuff off the stencil, it’s just not worth it. I have also come very close to tearing a stencil that has very fine intricate pieces as I attempted to finally scrub them with a hard brush trying to get that nouveau paste off. I have found the new Gina K ones and the Brutus Monroe so much easier to clean off the stencil. I have also come very close to just throwing the stencils away when I was just on able to get it clean. The problem is I have like 12 of them then I own that I want to use. So yes please do a video ... any tips you have for cleaning that glimmer paste off the stencil would be highly highly appreciated.

      Janie Sirak I lay down a few baby wipes, lay the dirty stencil on top, spray with water, use a baby wipe to scrub the top, use a second baby wipe to wipe off, use paper towel to dry it. Hasn’t failed me so far. Good luck!

    Hey Alexandra & Greg....I use the same technique when using tear tape and it is a 'game changer' when it comes to adhering a straight panel. Regarding vellum adhesion, if I cannot find an easy way to hide the tape, I sometimes use the Xyron Sticker Maker so that when I run it thru the Sticker Maker it completely covers the back of the die cut shape and is therefore invisible. That works well but I find the refills for the Sticker Maker a little expensive so I was looking for an alternative method....thanks for the recommendation on what brand of vellum tape works. Thanks again!

    I like to punch out leaves, trees, etc, to stick on letters and envelopes. But I haven’t figured out the best way to adhere them. When I’m trying to put glue on the leaf fronds, it’s very difficult to get it evenly and then it will squish out the sides when I press down. And using a tape runner doesn’t work well either. Any suggestions? Thank you.

    After discovering glue lines on my son's wedding invites, (vellum to card) I panicked!! They were fairly detailed and didn't want to start from scratch so I got the brainwave of covering the glue line with washi tape...thrilled with the result....!!!

    Have had cards from UK with random dabs that may not be wrinkled but in time they fall to bits, so not convinced just glue works, I use tape and glue combo for extra lasting. Was so sad when card fell to bits in hands even though it obviously had lit so glue on it.

    • @HedgehogHollow
      @HedgehogHollow  5 років тому

      I still use a reasonable amount of glue just small dots but liberally will avoid wrinkles; its all about finding the right compromise and adhesive for the paper you are using

    With so many of the companies having their own ink pads, how di I decide which is best to buy.

    • @HedgehogHollow
      @HedgehogHollow  5 років тому

      It really depends on what you want from the ink; for a black outline, Gina K Amalgam; for colored inks that a little harder, for blending distress oxide for general stamping scrapbook .com's hybrid range is great

    You usually only get wrinkles with a water based glue like PVA as it stretches the paper or card.

    Would have loved it if you would have used much thinner paper. I use the backside (which is very thin) of stickerpaper..that is very hard to glue down .

    • @HedgehogHollow
      @HedgehogHollow  5 років тому +1

      These techniques will work on thin paper too, as i mentioned in the video think about the thickness as to how much glue you use; when using sicker release paper it is designed to not stick to things so you are going to need a solvent based glue on the glossy side
