oh guess what you are back? I couldn't find any of your videos :( I was hoping to learn something from you and you husbandry practises. You are correct about the desert, however geyri do not come directly from the desert as I mentioned in the video they come from semi rocky hill areas, each mount, each valley and each mountain receives different light exposure in the wild. In the wild they receive light and they receive heat but not every day, every season is different, every timing of exposure is different. Mornings are cold, like really cold, at noon it is super hot like mega hyper hot , sometimes frost can be found in the morning after a really cold night. Please make sure to read viable literature and watch the video again just for fun. As I mentioned about humidity it is not an obligation however I do offer water to newly acquired animals as well as hatchlings. Rest assured that I don't mist my uros like tropical monitor lizards if that is what you have in mind. Make sure to check out other videos from other keepers, read many books , get your hands on independent literature and if you have the chance to travel that is even better, like I said every keeper is doing things a bit differently :)

Pronunciation in Fench, English, Latin and Berber is a bit different.I would love you to share your sources. If you do not believe in pedialyte please don't use it. Most of the most reputable breeders ( in the USA and Europe that I know) use this product on a regular basis I was just inspired by their techniques. @@221breptiles3Geyri uros are from semi-arid/steppe climates, not just deserts. Even then, the temp definitely drops at night and there is humidity in the ground. This is why it's important to look into your species exactly. Also, different keeping habits work better for different areas and people. Always good to gather everyone's information and not just bash what you don't do.
I have twin boys. One runs and hides almost immediately and another stays and looks at me but when I slide open the lid he runs as well. I acquired them from my nephew who never did much with them and lived them into a room where very little activity goes on. I plan to move them into my living area in two months. I am gradually adding supplies up to start with a new bioactive substrate cage. I too have doubts about live plants but also about fake ones. I fear the heat on either silks or plastic as silk plants tend to have plastic stems. The heat could emit an unforseen gas and/or make the plants break down into mouth-feel palatable consistency though one would hope a couple tries would have them learning their lesson. I have a ponytail gas and a ball cactus that I imagine they won't be attracted due to smell being that if a highly irregular odor but I see the digging they do and can imagine my replacing the plants back to their original placement. Ugh! What to do. I also inherited a leopard gecko and haven't the worry of plants as he is a complete insectivore. Nothing else seems to make him curious to lick.

People can say whatever.. keep them alone or not.. I rather keep them in pair. I have 2 ornate babies if they get along im gonna keep them together forever

Thank you for the kind words :) I hang up the lights using wire twisted around the mesh from the tank lid. I use bonsai metal wire and sometimes the "little twister wire things" that one can find in almost any kitchen lol.

Im planning on keeping a uro.. what should I be keeping an eye on? Are they like bearded dragons that has a morph/genes/coloration category as well? or it depends on the origin (oman, egyptian etc.)?
hi, uromastyx includes more than 12 species, some are small and some can get quite large. Just make sure to find a reputable breeder and start with CBB. Thank you for watching.
Hi, I usually give my adults tiny pieces of cactus ( these are spineless cactus) I would not recommend feeding it to the hatchlings but that is only a personal recommendation.
So basically I was better off being taken care of in the federal pen then I am on the street where I have to fend for my self...lol Joking I get what you mean 🤘🏻
