I'm really pleased with how the background turned out and I'm excited to show you what else I have in the works with it. I hope you all enjoy this one and have a great weekend SerpaSquad!

Looks nice Tanner good to see you move towards concrete. My brother did his countertops with the buddy Rhodes system it's good stuff. May I suggest a plant that grows FL. To AK. Eleocharis palustris as a pond guy you probably have seen it. It can be pruned if it gets too tall and makes a dense root mat that Sampson would no doubt love to dig through. You could even rinse the root ball and replant when a substrate change is needed.

Was he perhaps looking for a mate tho?
It's something pet owners to consider when and while keeping those pets. When I pick a pet, I try and keep in mind as mating is natural behavior and having access to it may be important for well being. Thus I go for community species of frogs that can mate peacefully and that excessive eggs can be culled/used as feeders for other pets (I don't like that part) 😬

I think it looks great and I'm loving how much he contrasts with his background. Makes him the most obvious feature in the tank, as he rightly deserves to be. It's crazy that the new setup looks like it's a normal (or the right) size for Samson, at least on the video.

My African bullfrog had a mansion, too! My mom was a teacher, and one of her students brought her some tadpoles he said he found. Turned out to be African bullfrogs, so we couldn't release them. Ended up giving them to my bio professor who had a gargantuan planted vivarium with a cascade pool and everything. Lived his best froggy life.

im so glad i found this channel since you really show us how to build stuff ourselves. i recently rescued a 6ft+ 20y/o carpet python that lived in a barely large enough, empty vivarium. just getting him some spaces to climb and hide made him so much more relaxed and unwary of humans, it really makes a big difference when we think of the animal’s experience in their enclosure. i’m now thinking of getting that very concrete as i feel it would make a get addition for him. thank you for your video!

13:43 I imagine that the concrete around the coco fiber will become stained eventually, so the appearance issue will likely take care of itself.

Whoa! It came out great! Seemed to match the natural habitat look like you were going for. Glad you found a good alternative over foam for the scaping! I hope Sam is happy with the upgrade!

The end result really looks amazing, and has everything he’d need - lots of swimming space to hang out in, an overhang to hide under, a land area to burrow in…

I expected it to cost WAY more at the end! I felt like that was excellent value for how many materials were used!
The enclosure is beautiful. The roots really do make it look realistic. And I'm always impressed at people building their own glass structures.
Great job!! I'm sure the little big guy loves it 🥰
