Your “mali” are actually not mali (u. Dispar Maliensis), and are actually rather u. Dispar Dispar. These two are closely related subspecies but not the same.
Wow i am surprised so many of them are so friendly. Usually I thought they ran away and were skittish
they can start off that way, but tame down rather easily with frequent interaction!
How did you interact with it? Did you just grab it when it ran away and pet it until it got used to it?
@@Desperado665 more or less! Just try to pick it up every other day before feeding, it will associate you handling it with getting rewarded food. Or simply offering it food from your hand will also help with that association!
How old were these when you filmed this? Trying to figure out my Uromastyx age. He has a lot of coloration but is very small… The store I got him from claimed he was a juvenile.

Thanks, i do some cardio but its mostly diet 😅🤣🤣
They do sometimes come in a little on the smaller side. We offer them greens every day and other treats occasionally, they do fatten up if they stay at our store long enough!
I’m having a difficult time finding a uromastyx. What’s your opinion on getting them shipped to your home?
Generally reptiles do just fine during shipping, though it is a little bit stressful for them. We make sure that they are packed adequately with enough padding and heat or cold packs depending on the time of year. All animals should be shipped overnight. It's important to research the shop or breeder you decide to make your purchase from to make sure they consistently send out healthy animals and that the safety of the animal is first and foremost to them when it comes to shipping.

The ages of our animals we're not really sure of most of the time, they don't tell us when they're shipped to us. We just know most our uromastyx come in just about full grown. If you contact us either through Facebook or e-mail when you go to order, or even call, we can usually have one of our staff members check the gender for you.
