    I have done this before. The glass paint remains beautiful for a long time, but after a while sitting in a hot window (a few years, actually) the paint might start to peel or chip. But still, 2 years of a product lasting isn't bad.

      I've seen it done using white glue mixed with food coloring! Affordable, and kid friendly. :)
