Just bought a very tall ceramic pot with a very small opening and am going to use your method of covering it to make it look like aged stone, I’m very happy I came across your channel because all of the other “stone make overs” that I’ve seen have come from across the pond (USA) and they obviously use American products and I’m not sure of the UK equivalent, so thanks for taking the plunge, I cannot wait to start my project. ❤️
I've used dry and wet coffee grounds and gotten different, pretty fabulous results over dried white paint and baking soda. It helped to create one of my all-time favourite vases! 😊
such a good final product. I think it would’ve even been cuter with some faint splotches of maybe a tan/beige spray paint and then painted over with some exposed, before moving onto dirt! If that makes sense. For an added layer of color/depth to make it look older. Even could use a bit of a rust color for depth too. Great video
Just beautiful… I believe that the area at bottom wasn’t dry enough but I love it going to wet the dirt a little I think it really gave it a aged look thank you be blessed
I bought paint, baking soda and plaster of paris, sealant etc... and now I'm looking at every single little thing in my house squinting and thinking to myself goddamnit I wanna repaint you too lol help I can't stop
ATENCION !!!!! SI NO LE AGREGAN PEGAMENTO BLANCO QUE USAN LOS CARPINTEROS O EL QUE USAN LOS ESCOLARES SE LES SALE CON EL TIEMPO .... Y DESPUES DE PINTAR BARNIZ . ACRILICO !!!!!!!
I tried ( after the white coats) to paint with coffee powder( after have made the coffee) with a little bit of water. It worked!!!! But needs a good sealer :)
Hi there, you are really talented. This is a great video. I love how your vase came out. Can you let me know what you used in the paint to give it that texture? I didn’t quite catch it in your video. I know you said we can use baking powder or cornstarch. Also what kind of stems did you use?
Thank you so much, you're so sweet. I personally used Baking powder for the texture and I would swear by it. Stem wise, these are dried eucalyptus leaves, they are so lovely to pull out each season. Hope this helps x
It is so addicting isn’t it lol I’m running out of room for places to put it so I may start selling on FB 😂 would you have a link or where you got the stems in the vase love it
Thank you so much I used paint, bicarbonate of soda and some good old fashion dirt from my garden. I hope this translates okay and good luck on your DIY project :) x
Did you use regular paint to paint in a home or acrylic paint? I've seen some use acrylic paint for this project. 😊 And did you use baking soda? I'm from the states and didnt understand what you used lol sorry
Right... mix paint, baking soda, paint glass vase, let dry then rub on mud, then spray with a sealer. Oh Grand! A 15 minute video that should have taken 5 minutes, only repeating a zillion other videos that are exactly the same.
Good question! Possibly, but as it's not a product I handle that well, I think you're good to miss that step. This project is over a year old and it's still holding strong x
Looks great. I have also seen coffee grounds being used to achieve this.
Same- it's a great alternative :) x
So appreciate you including the slip ups. Certainly makes it more approachable and possibly doable for a novice like me!
Thank you and of course! x
A very fun last minute DIY project, I’ve wanted to do this forever and I’m so proud of the results! I hope you enjoy this webisode! X

Good luck! x
Ficou lindo! Parabéns pelo belo trabalho ! 👏👏
Aww thank you so much :) x
Great job I love the shape of that vase! You can also use coffee grounds to dirty it up as well.
Thank you, and yes- such a good alternative suggestion. Something I will try on another DIY Project x

Thank you so much :) x
Looks great 👏👏👏 wondering to do the same, Could you please advise if paint is not going off the vase after some time (I mean few months)?
The paint is still in tack, the vase is used year out and is currently sitting with pride on my fireplace mantle :) x
Great tutorial, thank you for sharing. Can’t wait to have a go! May I ask were you bought the burgundy foliage please?
Thank you 😊 it’s from a company called Dowsing & Reynolds- perfect for autumn x

@@aneditedlifestyle thank you!
@@aneditedlifestyle can you list everything that you used
I wonder if coffee grains would work instead of mud or dirt
I will certainly have to give this a go on the next one I do :) x
Yes it does
Cinnamon also works if you want a red tone
Love it
Thank you :) x
Did you use both the Farrow & Ball School House White to make the base colour? Its gorgeous!
I did and thank you :) x
@@aneditedlifestyle Thank you for your quick response 🌺
Where did you get your foliage, loving the mauve
Thank you, I got it from Dowsing & Reynolds x

Hehe it really is. I got the stems from here, hope this helps! x www.dowsingandreynolds.com/shop/eucalyptus-bouquet-red-nicholii/
@@aneditedlifestyle awww boooo thanks much lol shipping they want $60 so I’ll have to pass 😭😭😭
What was the name of the liquid you used to create the paste for the ceramic vase?
It's a mixture of paint with bicarbonate of soda to create the grain :) x
Your vase came out beautiful. Great job🌸
Thank you so much :) x
Me gusta mucho como queda.es un trabajo muy bonito. Podria decirme los materiales q usa? No hay subtitulos en español. Gracias
Thank you so much I used paint, bicarbonate of soda and some good old fashion dirt from my garden. I hope this translates okay and good luck on your DIY project :) x
Can you put water into it?
This one yes as the OG is glass.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Aww thank you :)
Please me nation the products you used!
They are linked in the description box for you :) x
How much of each measured ?
Unfortuently no accurate measures when it comes to paint, just until I got the exact colour I wanted x
😊👍
Thank you :) x
It was coffee or soil??
Soil but both would work :) x
Did you use regular paint to paint in a home or acrylic paint? I've seen some use acrylic paint for this project. 😊 And did you use baking soda? I'm from the states and didnt understand what you used lol sorry
No worries, I've used both home paint and acrylic for different projects, both got the same results. And yes it baking soda :)
You could have used a dry sponge and craft paint to get the desired effect. It’s sooo much easier!
Funnily enough, if you wait till next Monday, you may see this technique in action... ;) x
¿Pueden subtitular en español?
I will try with future videos

As it’s emulsion paint, would it work better if you use a primer on the glass before paint?
Good question! Possibly, but as it's not a product I handle that well, I think you're good to miss that step. This project is over a year old and it's still holding strong x
