Yeah, I did my very first one today, and it turned out streaky. Do you happen to know what I did wrong? I actually had seen this technique on a different video, but as I was trying to troubleshoot, I found this video. I cleaned my jar really well, not real sure what happened. Any help is much appreciated ❤

This is cool using glue. A great project to do with the kiddies. I have used clear floor wax to do this project also. It works pretty good but I’m not sure it is permanent either; but it sure looks good!

Question... I'm having issues with bubbles. Don't know if I'm doing something wrong. I wouldn't be concerned if there was some here and there, but there's a lot. Because I have done a lot of acrylic paint/pour stuff, I try to be mindful of stirring. 🤷‍♀️
I used regular Elmer's glue one mixed with food color and one with acrylic paint. Both had the bubbles.
My DIY chalk paint batches came out awesome!!!

I converted Celsius to Fahrenheit and it comes out to 347, so 350 would work for your oven.
Thank you on the tip for Mod Podge, adding a bit of water. I just got some canning jars and food coloring plus MP, to do this for Christmas, was going to make red and green jars and hang them outside with battery operated candles with a remote control-Time ran out didn’t get them made. But glad as that MP would have upset me taking it’s sweet time coating the jars.
I may do this for spring with different colors.

@@teejay1650 👍Exactly! 175°C / 350°F is too hot... you're not sterilizing these for canning, you're curing them with the color. So somewhere around the 200°F is better.

Nice project! Am planning a team project for young adults to build glass candle holders alittle smaller in size than the jar that you used. For sake of demonstration, I was hoping to apply some neon glue similar to what you used in the video and apply it to a small sheet of paper. I was then hoping to wrap that film with the neon glue around the inside of the glass. Finally I wanted to have the teams glue some mosaic tiles to the glass outside. If they glue the different colored mosaic tiles to outside of glass, would the neon glue on the inside film still show through in the dark?
