Check out the Harbor Freight Flag Pole with the flag. I also dug the hole and cemented the pvc pipe in the ground for the pole. I also did this for the 4th of July Independence Day of 2020. You put the poles up, then drop each section down about 2" and give the pipe a little twist to make the stay up when raising the flag. I drop them back down 2" because they would slide back down and seem to stay up better.

Now that I am retired, I just might show my life and some of the towns around me. Welcome to being an American, xxaznbloodflipzz. If you bought the Harbor Freight Flag Pole, you might find that in windy weather, the pole will slide inside itself again. So be ready to get some small metal screws to screw the sections so the flag pole will stay up and fly your flag proud. Thanks again for watching my video and God Bless.

Hi Mike, I just bought my Harbor Freight flagpole the other day and will be installing it this weekend. I also bought the solar powered flagpole light so I can leave the flag up 24/7, it was less than $20 with their coupon. Great job, looks awesome and your music is phenomenal.. Thanks very much.

For the winter months here, a solar light isn't good enough. I installed an L.E.D. Christmas Spot light on the house that plugs in and directed it towards the flag in which lights up the flag and part of my yard. In the instructions, it does call for a light if left flying all night. You are right about lighting the flag at night or take it in each day. Thanks for the great comment Notsosilentmajority1.

Thanks Mike went got one last week because of your video and frankly always wanted a flag pole in yard,difference is i cemented my in 5 gallon bucket and then buried it in case i decided to relocate pole elsewhere on my property or move.
That is great and always makes you feel good to show America that you support her. Just a note. The pole needs the drain hole at the bottom of the pole, so the sleeve does not fill with rain water and start to rot the pole and also will freeze in the winter and might break or crack the pole JohnQ public. Every American citizen should have a flag proudly displayed.
This is very true. But the should changed the reading for lighting the flag pole at night. Yes, mine is lit at night with an L.E.D. spot light, but it's hard to figure how to light it, where to get the power to light it and the thieves of the night.

Thanks for this video! I was trying to decide whether to buy that one from Harbor freight or not and you sealed the deal for me. Thanks.
I have gotten a lot of complaints about this flagpole coming from China. It is what it is. I also use nylon flags because I get a lot of high winds here. The cotton flags are heavier and the pole really waves back and forth, but no damage to report. The nylon flags are lighter and last as long as the cotton ones from my experience over the last couple of years.
I got one of them kits for early fathers day present. Going g to put it up Saturday.
For the price, they are a nice pole. When you lift each section, drop it back down 2 inches for strength and just snug the locks for each section. The first year, a section of two would slip back down when we had high winds. Now it always stays up and I Never mess with the locks when I need to change my flag. I pull the pole out of the ground and lay the pole over too change the flag. Thanks so much for watching.

Love the National Anthem. Hint: if you’ll tighten and loosen by turning the poles themselves instead of the aluminum fittings it will last much longer. The aluminum fittings tend to fail if you use those to tighten each section. Just twist the poles themselves right or left to tighten and in tighten. Easy peasy and no damage.

I appreciate your concern and wish more people would show the proper respect to Old Glory. The rule is not to let the flag touch the ground which it did not still being in the packaging.

I just bought mine from Harbor Freight the other day. I had another pole before, for about 15 years, but it was getting kind of worn looking so I got this one. It's a very good price and I like the telescoping rather than the rope. I was continuously having to untangle the flag from around the pole and this one I think will be much better in unwrapping. I was a little disappointed in something, that's not a big deal to most people, but I am a little too much of a perfectionist. When I put the pole in the sleeve, it had a very slight lean to one side. I KNEW that I had leveled it, but there is a little play in the sleeve. Not much, but it does move the pole a little. When I saw Mike's was leaning a little, I felt better!! I was actually thinking of going and taking it all apart, going to Home Depot for another sleeve and redimix, dig another hole, etc. and my wife was just hoping that I would be satisfied ........ and now I am. It's not that big of a deal. Thanks Mike!
lol, I have COD and like things to look right also. I just marked it up to everything else was not right and the pole was, lol. I will admit, not everything in this world is perfect, and we can't save the whole world so just leave it be I say, now that I am getting a little older. got a german version of this ,live in ireland btw for flying 2nd stars and bars on.all year round its strong .
Welcome from Ireland. These poles normally are strong as long as you don't dent the pole and make it weak. If you ever have high winds, more than one flag might take the pole down. Thanks so much for your comment.
