I have one of these. Almost 2 years old. Holding up great. Withstood some decently strong winds. The flag it comes with is garbage. It's nylon. Too light to spin properly and will constantly get wrapped around the pole. Fades quickly and tears easily over time. Get a grace alley poly/cotton blend flag from amazon. Not too light. Not to heavy. I also took some 1000 or even 800 grit sandpaper and sanded the inside of the plastic collars that the flag attaches to. Spins like butter. Add a solar light to the top and you're all set. Old glory never looked so good. Forgot to add, one problem. After about 6 months 2 of the sections are seized up and I can't get them down. Doesn't bother me though. I'd rather have them stuck up than have them keep falling down. After all, it's $60. Totally worth it in my opinion. And, if you do get one and the sections won't stay up after a while just get some hose clamps and put them at the bottom of the section that won't stay up. Tighten em up and your in business. They'll blend right in and no one will even see them. Problem solved. Also, if you're gonna buy one. Take it out of the box and test it before you leave the store.
Yep! I already had to replace the cheap USA flag that came with it. Faded and torn in about 3 months. I replaced it with another cheap one sided flag, I thought the better quality 2 sided might be too heavy. Good to know... I will definitely get one like you suggested. I've had my HF flagpole roughly 6 months, and it's been doing great, other than the cheap flags and plastic rings getting hung up around the pole. I'll sand inside the rings like you did. I think that's a good idea. I'm a little confused about the posted date on this video. It's been a year and a half since I originally purchased it and installed it at my shop. I moved it to our new home that we bought 6 months ago. (Early March 2023). I'm so impressed and have a lot more confidence in this flag pole since I made the original video that you commented on. The reason is that I never take the 2 flags off anymore for any storms. It's been through 70 plus mph wind storms. I only take the flags off every 6 months to replace them with new ones. I just installed the same pole. My problem is with either one or two flags. When it is windy the bottom collar slides up the pole The flag won't stay taunt. . I want the flags to be able to turn different direction as the wind changes. Any ideas?
That's strange! I haven't had that. problem. We had 20 mph sustained winds today and I made a comment to a friend of mine about my Harley Davidson flag that I currently have under the USA flag. They both were flying so well you could read every word. I wish I had an answer for you.

OMG! FANTASTIC!!! I decided not to remove the 2 flags I currently have on it, even though we had Tornado watches and warnings for 3 days straight. It just went through 3 days of 30 to 70 mph winds and golf ball size hail.
Definitely get you one. I am amazed how it's held up through storms and all. I always have 2 flags flying. I'm kinda shocked that a "Harbor Freight " product held up so good for $70 bucks.
You twist each section one way to lock them. in place. When you want to lower the flags you just twist each section in the opposite direction starting with the lowest section. I hope this helps.

@Glenn Light I installed my Harbour Freight flag pole last March. It's been a year, and for the most part, it's been doing OK as far as staying up and not dropping. Occasionally mine will drop one section if the wind is blowing hard from a storm. When the wind blows in one direction, then changes direction. It's twisting the same as you would when taking it up or down. It's not perfect, but I'm very happy with it for $70 Your pole may be defective from the factory. Oh! One important note...It's designed for the "Light Weight" of inexpensive one-sided flags. Too heavy of flags could loosen it up and or even snap the thin aluminum pole.
Take the pole down. Install a 1/4" rope pulley at the very top with 50' of 1/4" rope through it. (tie the ends together so it wont fall back out.) extend and lock the pole to it's full length on the ground. Use self-tapping screws to hold each segment together permanently. Stand the pole back up into it's base. Install a rope dock cleat at the bottom with 2 more self-tapping screws at about chest level. Install two swivel clips on the rope. Reattach your flag, and raise it. Might also slide a section of 10' pipe into the center of the flag pole before setting it back onto it's base to help it handle higher winds.

As long as you just use "ONE" 4x6 flag it'll work. The pole comes with a total of 3 swivel attachments, that have 4 carabiners. The middle swivel slides freely up and down. You would use the top attachment and only one carabiner on the middle swivel to attach the larger 4x6 flag too. Hopefully this helps. Thanks for asking the question.

I don't remember, because it's been about a year since I installed it. But, I thought the PVC sleeve that you put in the ground comes with it. I just used a thicker gauge PVC pipe that I had in my shop. If you still would like to have the Dimensions, I'll measure it as soon as I go back to my shop.

I liked the review in general but you're never going to get a channel with enough popularity to be worth anything if you make it political, especially in that manner. I plan on getting this flag pole to turn into a "mega tree". The height adjustment is a killer feature, although I would have liked to have seen if it is infinitely adjustable, or if the heights have to be in sets of four feet (or whatever those sections are).

You twist each section one way to lock them. in place. When you want to lower the flags you just twist each section in the opposite direction starting with the lowest section. I hope this helps.
