- Tour and History of the Soldiers and Sailors Moment in Indianapolis. This is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Indiana and started construction in 1988 and was dedicated in 1902 to the war veterans from Indiana. I will give a little background and show you the outside of the monument as well as take you inside and to the observation deck for a look at the city.
