I believe each hit takes about 12.5% of max HP, so without Protect Almighty Shinra would have died. Meteor is much the same except that one is magic based usually.
It deals 10 hits of 3/16th max hp. For Shinra this is 18750, but since Angra Mainyu can't break damage limit, a solo character with 99999 will survive with 10hp. Protect only seems to work on the first hit, which gave the correct value of 18750/2 = *9375*
Eh I wouldnt really call this guy a superboss, it doesnt take a whole lot to beat him. Especially nothing compared to Trema, Almighty Shinra, and Major Numerus. Hell even Chac and Paragon are worse than this guy.
Just curious if there was a reason you didn’t manipulate the star system in the top left? Less stars so you take less damage and more stars so you do more damage.

this is a low shinra.. you can get much higher numbers and heal. i can do numerus with my shinra easy. but i prefer 1 mushroom cloud and 2 impale bots. Dont use meteor and auto wall. Meteor is damage waste ability causes clione doing more rare. Auto wall 1/2 ur heal.
Auto-wall takes the first hit of Perditions Flame and a few hundred damage off (Shinra would be left with 10hp without it), leaving enough wiggle room to not die to a stray flare or -ga spell before the regen kicks (also helped by auto-wall)
@@callmeshaggy5166 the 10 HP doesn't matter he can instant vigor to full life again. Wall would only 1/2 vigor which is not good for even harder bosses like numerus later
You could also just use auto life so attacks that are strong enough to kill a capped stat unit just use up the status. It’s what I did when I soled trema with a recoil because meteor does infact become that strong when every single hit chains
Capture a Deava, level it up five times, and release it for the storyline end and its replacement by Aka Manah. Do the same for him, his replacement (Aeshma), and his replacement (Shahi). Now capture a Tomb enemy and level it up five times and release it. Repeat this with its consecutive replacements: Dorumen and Monument and Ultima Weapon. Don’t alter their default names. After getting Ultima, there will be some more story to deal with and you’ll be able to fight this Cup in the Colosseum. After fighting the cup, defeat Omega Weapon and pick him for your party after the fight. Level him up five times and release him, then Shinra comes on. You can now play the altered version of the Cup, the Shinra’s Strongest Creation Cup. Play it and level up and release Shinra as usual and you’ll get the Cup back to the Demon’s Cup.

Angry Mainyu is a super boss that you fight in Chapter 5. Depending on what you did in the Bikanel side quests in the previous chapters, you can increase his stats and improve the items you get after defeating it. As for Almighty Shinra, he is a monster you can capture and put in your party if you complete the Creature Creator sidequest.

@@callmeshaggy5166 Protect works for all hits, it's just that every hit after the first one benefits from combo bonus multiplier.

Auto-Protect instead of Auto-Wall is the answer here.

This was fixed in the remaster, but they gave us creatures instead. Catnip was broken and trivialized all endgame at any level once acquired.
