I must give credit where credit is due, as a man that grew up in 🇺🇸 I wasn't familiar with ANY of camel's music until the summer of 23 when you tube recommended one of their live cuts from long ago. Needless to say I was mighty impressed and will always ❤ them until the day I die 😊
The music of Camel has been part of my life since my adolescence and will accompany me until I die. Especially the one from the golden era that the Latimer/Bardens duo composed, which reached the highest levels of Symphonic Rock and Progressive Rock. A monument of inspiration, melody, harmony, sensitivity, technique and good taste. I never get tired of hearing it. His legacy will remain in our hearts and the annals of music forever.
What a gem, I'm in my 80's and cannot believe the amount of superb music I that have lived through. This generation cannot imagine that there was a time when anything like this just did not exist, there was movement in America, but npt much reached these shores. Then skiffle started and very soon we had an explosion of wonder, electric guitars started to appear, followed by simple keyboards and the nations youth suddenly wanted to be part of this incredibe wonder. We were immersed in experimental electronic music, progresive groups etc. all in the mid 50's. I can proudly say that I lived through this amazing period - too many groups to mention, Camel being one of many - thanks to youtube.
Behind the iron curtain I started to listen to prog rock as a child. Decades ago I thought music was over with prog rock bands retired. But then other good music took shape. Your comment puts it in a different perspective. Now I feel like being on a fantastic journey, and we are still on the road. Strange thing with all these years behind, isn't it. Good health my friend. (63 here)
Much respect to you, funny that you say not much reached your shores, I'm from the USA and twenty years younger than you. Long story short, I hadn't even heard of 🐫 until the summer of 23 when the algorithms recommended a live cut from when they were all youngsters. Makes me wonder what other fabulous bands I've never heard before
What a truly magical band and what a musical treasure cove Latimer is! His choice of notes and melody is unsurpassed! It resonates deeply with me. In tears literally at points and I'm only 24 minutes in!
Only 20 comments? I can't believe I missed this great band for so much of my life. Only discovered them in my 60s. Yet another gem from an era wall-to-wall with great music.

The boyfriend of my post above went to Colston School. We went to a concert at the same theatre a year or so later. Don’t remember who we saw there though. Small world, this internet thing 😂
Hope Andy and the boys are back touring soon and he is coping with any health issues. I first saw Camel back in 1976. Moodmadness tour. It was my very first proper gig aged 14 - at Hammersmith Odeon - a moment that changed my life. Their music still moves me today as much as it did back in 1976.
The front row of my progrock-guitar-heroes: Steve Hackett, Steve Rothery, Mike Holmes and of course Andy Latimer. They all plus their bandmates have enriched my life. I am grateful.
I so hope that Andrew Latimer's health improves and that he resumes Camel's touring. I've never had the pleasure of the live Camel experience (in person). If resumed, I'll travel to wherever to experience it.

Camel’s Moonmadness concert at Cardiff Capitol Theatre was the second concert my musically awakening 15 year old self went to. I was entranced. We met up later with my 17 year old boyfriend’s musically sophisticated almost 19 year old brother. He said, “bet you bought the album.” Yep. I’d bought the album 😂 At the concert. I never lived it down. 😅
Proud to say I have known the Latimer Brothers for over 50 years, both excellent musicians. Andy going on to be an icon of progressive music, ever evolving, ever entertaining, ever brilliant.
Ever since I first saw CAMEL in the 70's at a concert in Dortmund (Germany), this band, which is unfortunately totally underrated, has been my number 1! Of course, I really like this concert, but I really miss the line-up from back then with PETER BARDENS ❤ (keyboards) , MEL COLLINS 👌 👍 (sax. flute and clarinet) DOUG FERGUSON or RICHARD SINCLAIR (bass) and ANDY WARD 👌 👍!! (on drums) ... A fantastically perfect replacement on drums for me would be the extraordinary and very talented SINA Döring 👌 (sina-drums ! ), which now has more than 1.6 million subscribers. Although Sina is only 25, she loves the music of the 60's, 70's and 80's! It is very a pity that ANDY LATIMER ❤ is still sick and cannot go on tour. I wish him a speedy recovery ! Thank you for this good video here!
Never got to see Camel, even though I have been a fan since 1976 so so wish I was at this concert, its the music of my lifetime, I pray Andy and the band are well today
Prog-Lite at its finest. Great tone and playing by Andy. Also nice to see how the keyboardist was able to approximate the original patches with the Nord. Great work!! 💯
Never got a chance to see them live in the 70 as we are staying far away in Malaysia.. Been a fan since the 70. Now we can see their performance via social media platform. Most underrated prog bank but to me one of the best.
Great live sound, especially those drums. How did I not discover this band until far too late?! I guess they just fell through the cracks when things like Yes Going for the One got 11 y.o. me hooked on proper music.

It was long time ago in the 1980’s I had many of Camel’s albums, it had been 40 years ago and I remember it very well. I still love the music so much. Though I’m in my sixties it makes me long that I was young again
I honestly thought I was the only person on the planet that felt this way about Camel. All my music history centered around this band. They led me to Pink Floyd and Gryphon and the rest of the progressives. It is such a wonder to watch them for the first time. And the crowd;! I'm not alone. After 45+ years, I'm not the only one.
excellent concert, one of the best progressive rock groups, with extraordinary quality, never recognized in its time and overshadowed great bands, it is a luxury to listen to them, thanks for sharing.
Me apasiona
Thanks for posting this. Nowt on T.V. tonight and then I found my favorite band doing a full concert on UA-cam. Lets hope Andy makes a full recovery and we get a final tour.
is this concert on dvd/bluray than i buy this concert immediately..this is what we called music, iam a fan from the beginning, more than 50 years ago.Andrew Latimer is one of the best guitarist in the world, thanks andy for your influence in the progrockworld
Without doubt The Snow Goose is one of the best, if not the best, prog rock instrumental albums ever written. Beautifully recreated on this tour which sadly I missed. Andy Latimer and Steve Howe (Yes) must be the joint leading facial expression guitarists of all time! You can see Andy's total absorption of his music in his face. Phenomenal guitarist, great band. I am keeping my fingers 🤞that he makes a recovery from his recent problems to make that final tour which was cancelled in 2023.

Enjoyed this, thanks. Saw the Mirage/Snow Goose tour in 1975 (nearly got my mom to go - she liked the SG album !) , then Moon Madness and Rain Dances tours, all in Birmingham. Always great live band, such melodic guitar & tone.
Camel, junto a Yes, King Crimson, Marillion, Genesis, Can, Baletto de Bronzo, Amonn Dull, Tangerine Dream, Banco, PFM, Jethro Tull, Zappa, (entre otros) iniciaron en los 60s, 70s el hoy llamado Rock Progresivo
Love this band ever since I started listening in the 70's to them. Glad I saw them twice live a few years ago. Incredible musicians and incredible compositions! And incredible guitarwork!!! Thanks Andy!

Latimer one of my favorites, hearing from the 70s.
One of prog rock’s best kept secrets!❤
I can’t believe how sounds Lady Fantasy at present. Live, amazing.
It was long time ago in the 1980’s I had many of Camel’s albums, it had been 40 years ago and I remember it very well. I still love the music so much. Though I’m in my sixties it makes me long that I was young again
CAMEL საუკეთესო ჯგუფია. Andrew Latimer is genius ! This band is the #1 in the world ! Long live A.L.
You never were. I was with you.
one of the best bands in the world!!!!
The fact
excellent concert, one of the best progressive rock groups, with extraordinary quality, never recognized in its time and overshadowed great bands, it is a luxury to listen to them, thanks for sharing.
My goodness, I wasn't expecting this!

Cosmos...Thanks a lot for Camel !!
How has this only come up in my feed after 7 months. Come on youtube you only have one job to do. Better late than never though.
Me apasiona
I dont have word to express my feeling about this band
Most well-put
Looong time Camel fan. Fantastic. Thanks for posting.
Simply immortal! The last knights of the Prog-rock golden era 💪
Passados 50 anos da minha adolescência...Camel ...banda inesquecível!

Brilliant concert. One of their best. 😎💙🐫🐪🐪🐫🇬🇧👍
This band and Andy give a pure and beautiful sound that can never be compared.

wow! what an awesome band can´t never heared it before...... long live pro rock
caralho os cara são bons pra cacete, não conhecia 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👊🇧🇷🎹🥁🎸🎤
Without doubt The Snow Goose is one of the best, if not the best, prog rock instrumental albums ever written. Beautifully recreated on this tour which sadly I missed.
Andy Latimer and Steve Howe (Yes) must be the joint leading facial expression guitarists of all time! You can see Andy's total absorption of his music in his face. Phenomenal guitarist, great band.
I am keeping my fingers 🤞that he makes a recovery from his recent problems to make that final tour which was cancelled in 2023.

What an amazing band absolutely this thank you so very much for sharing ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Gran banda. Latimer como toca genios músicos maravillosos
Discovered them in the 1990s with the advent of the internet and buying I believe it was a 2-cd compilation/best of. Brown lp cover. Very smooth, symphonic, melodic with excellent musicianship throughout, and Andy of course!
Enjoyed this, thanks. Saw the Mirage/Snow Goose tour in 1975 (nearly got my mom to go - she liked the SG album !) , then Moon Madness and Rain Dances tours, all in Birmingham.
Always great live band, such melodic guitar & tone.
¡ Qué conciertazo !
Camel, junto a Yes, King Crimson, Marillion, Genesis, Can, Baletto de Bronzo, Amonn Dull, Tangerine Dream, Banco, PFM, Jethro Tull, Zappa, (entre otros) iniciaron en los 60s, 70s el hoy llamado Rock Progresivo
That was and still is one of my favourites ... great band, perfect compositions and still the core members on stage. Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for posting this phänomenal concert.
R.I.P Guy LeBlanc.
Love this band ever since I started listening in the 70's to them. Glad I saw them twice live a few years ago. Incredible musicians and incredible compositions! And incredible guitarwork!!! Thanks Andy!
Tremenda banda .Gracias por el video.
Thanks so much for share this video, great as always.
Grüße Dr. Rythem from Germany.
I must apologise to the fans of Camel. I thought this band was something to do with Peter Frampton. 67 years old first time of hearing OMG what a band, all great musicians especially Mr Latimer 👏
Dust and dreams. Great concept and music by Andy.
Never too late, as they say ... Go listen to any of their 14 studio albums... Enjoy.
Personaly I'd go for Moonmadness, Mirage, Rajaz ... And LIVE at Royal Albert Hall 2018
But, i've learned that Camel fans find different doors... But ending in same family....
Best regards, fellow 67 yrs ... and Camel fan since mid 70's !
Enjoy your travel ahead mate...
First saw Camel at Chalk Farm roundhouse in 1973 the original band loved them ever since and hope they can tour the UK this year 2025
Wow,an amazing concert, and so glad it got recorded for us with great quality video and sound This concert will be preserved for us to cherish for years to come. Camel is such an awesome group of musicians, what a great show.
Excelente.
I love this band❤
