I had to control my acne with diet first, then products. Tried hundreds of products and nothing worked at first. For those like me, I recommend a low carb diet (I still eat low carb vegetables tho) to reduce the IGF-1 hormone which reduces skin oil production. I use a gentle cleanser (harsh cleanser stripped my skin's oils, then it tries making more oil which caused acne), and I moisturize. Basically do everything to keep your skin from making more oil, which was the point of Accutane.
I’m so afraid of my acne coming back. I’m on accutane now and so ready to be off of this medicine. I know some people have done 2 and 3 rounds of it. I don’t want to do that at all 😢
