My skin has been through so much. When I was in middle school that’s when it started to breakout. At that time I suffered from texture, clogged pores and some cystic acne. My journey into high school and I still had the same skin issues, but my skin was combination when I was in my teens. After I finished school, I started to learn more about skin care to see what I could do to help my skin get better, but a year an a half I noticed that my diet should change too. I was vegetarian first for a year and then I went vegan. I’m almost finished with college and I’ve been a vegan for almost two years. I take daily vitamins for regular health and skin health. My skin care products are all pretty much vegan. My skin does struggle sometimes still, but as an adult my skin is dry and no longer combination like it was in my teen years. I do get breakouts still sometimes, but people with dry skin can get them too! ❤Skin is a journey!

I'm here a year later because I'm trying to get clearer skin this summer as one of my goals, and since I've watched this video, I have noticed such a difference. My acne was never like horrible per say but as a growing teen with hormonal imbalances, it was definitely there. Now I'm working on getting rid of the last few bumps but my skin has never felt better. It's not just because of what I apply on my skin each day and night, but I have also been eating healthier and getting more sleep. HUGE thumbs up in my book, thank you for these tips! Love you!!
i had the worst cystic acne from age ~7 until my early 20s. i really think for me my hormones finally played nice by my mid 20s. i rarely get a single zit these days. i am so low maintenance now and somehow clear skinned. teenage me would cry. i went through a huge skin care phase thanks to y'all but then i took a step back bc i was like whoa this is too many products lol so now i just keep it simple. these are all great tips and i try my best to live as healthily as possible and i'll just keep hoping acne like i had never weasels it's way back into my life
Thanksss! Im gonna task myself weekly to help my addictions. Week 1: Stop picking at skin Week 2: Stop picking my fingernails when i struggle with axienty etc Week 3: Reverse my negative thoughts Week 4: wash phone screen daily, wash glasses and fingernails daily (and hands) Etc.
This is what I needed! A reminder ❤ slowly getting back control of my healthy lifestyle. Not going to lie, it’s hard but small changes works. Baby steps ♥️🥰
little tip for the nut butters: my mom taught me to store the jars upsidown so the oil settles at the bottom so it's less messy then stirring it. I find that flipping it back rightside up for a bit before using it like while i'm making my toast or doing something else, it helps.
oat milk is actually very inflammatory, soy milk is also not recommended as it can throw your hormones off balance. A good quality dairy like goat’s milk/sheep’s milk or A2 cow’s milk is a better option or Almond milk with just salt and water added.
thank you for the fingernail part because i have naturally long hard nails and telling what to do to help instead of telling us to cut them because they boost my confidence and most influencers tell us watchers to cut fingernails and get fake ones but thank you so much!!
The nail length tip stood out to me. Sounds pretty common sense (more area for germs), but I’m sure lots of people don’t stop and think about all the germs on their nails when they pick at their skin... me included. I’ll definitely be more intentional about nail care!
When I heard that dairy products had hormones, i was actually pretty surprised. Because as a teen i never even thought about what was in milk, etc. And when she started to talk about skin picking, I found out that I was picking my skin, making my acne worse. Skin picking is a big problem of mine, and i know that they leave scars if you pick at them even more, but i don't know how to stop until I stop myself. So as a teen, i found this very helpful and i will use this info for future purposes :)
Thanks for sharing! I love your videos they are so informative & entertaining. I have severe hormonal acne and inflamed skin which started around age 20. I am now 25 and within the last 3 months I cut out alcohol, dairy and started taking zinc and fish oil for omega 3. I recently started going to an esthetician who does specialized treatments and is guiding me to heal my skin holistically. It’s been a journey. I’ll definitely be incorporating tips from this video!!
I do think reducing dairy intake can better your skin, but for those of us who live in the EU i believe (correct me if im wrong) that added hormones in the milk/cows is forbidden. Great tips!
The most challenging part for me is avoiding dairy and carbs. I enjoy cheese and coffee creamers. Plus, I love pasta, rice, pizza, chips, etc.. The one free tip I would give is to air dry your face after cleansing. The reason is that towels often harbor bacteria, which can worsen acne.
This was so helpful! I love cheese too, I never realized that could break me out, especially at different times of the month. Thanks for taking the time to make a pdf for us!! :)
The first tip seems to be *really* useful for me, since my acne is hormonal, i will try working out and dancing everyday 😊 I will also try to step outside everytime i can (going out walking to buy things with my family)
This video is full of good advice. However, it might not work for everyone, as there are other root causes for acne. Oftentimes women with adult acne have PCOS, and while it's caused because of insulin resistance in many cases, there are other root causes such as adrenal fatigue. In this case, applying what's in the video might not fully get rid of it. Getting out of chronic stress mode would be the first thing to do for adrenal PCOS, with breathing exercices, mindfulness etc.
So glad you brought this up! 🥰Yes, the tips covered in this video won't work for everyone, but it can offer some clarity to those who might not have thought about viewing acne in a holistic sense! After all, Fel's sharing her personal journey and what worked for her, so it's always best to take what resonates based on everyone's individual journeys😊 Thank you so much for commenting! We appreciate you! 💕
I'm a teenager struggling with acne, and I can say the best thing I have ever done to help it is not drinking milk. I only drink oat or soy milk now. I used to hate soy milk because it tasted so strong, but I started with oat milk and eventually adjusted (I would drink almond but it's bad for the environment). It's really helpful for my acne.
My skin got better as I started to look after my inner health: after a check-up because of a thyroid issue, I learned much about myself and started taking better care of my health. I'm far away from my best, but it's a journey, not a destination, so I'm trying to be gentle to myself and learn more what makes me feel better overall ❤
was there any specific foods that helped heal your thyroid or improve it or anything you did that helped in general? i was diagnosed with hypo a little over a month ago and ive been dieting but kinda just trying to figure things out atm:)
for me, stopping the overboard consumption of store-bought desserts and stopping the use of almost all skincare products i had was the solution. i use tea tree essential oil and/or zinc cream as a spot treatment. in winter or when my skin is extra dry, i use a moisturiser in the evening after face wash. i also massage my face with coconut oil every two weeks or so.
I had INSANELY bad acne for about four years and I have found the biggest thing that helped me was actually minimizing my skincare routine. Less scrubbing/exfoliating, less cleansing, less dry brushing, less massaging, etc. I know that sounds counter-productive but it worked for me. Now I just cleanse once a day and moisturize morning and evening :)
i don't understand my skin... I'm mostly acne free... *plottwist* when I'm not doing any skincare! I used to have a pretty elaborate skincare routine and my skin was in a constant state of breakout/inflammation no matter the cycle day/diet/etc. then I bumped into a low depressive period of life and stopped doing any routine at all. and wowza! my skin got ✨ clear✨. it wasn't smooth or glowy, it was pretty dull and unpolished, but absolutely free of any breakout. then I tried incorporating skin products again slowly... and immediately got acne. it's so unbelievably frustrating cause I'm 27 and I know I must look after my skin but my skin feels best when it's left alone. I've had several dermatologist giving me all sorts of advise including all of those in the video, but none has proven to be 100% effective so far... side note: I'm full keto, i don't eat any sugar, I exercise and have a pretty healthy sleeping routine. it really bothers me that I can't use *any* product, even the most gentle and soft without causing stress to my skin. guess i just gotta keep looking for a right dermatologist who will be able to help
Go back to no routine, and just add in one product at a time- starting with a good moisturizer and a retinol. At 27, you probably won’t need anything outside of that. Steer clear of anything oil stripping too. Good luck!
I’ve been following the non-toxic woonyounism accounts, and they said that drinking dairy milk during breakfast and before bed is good for your skin. I have alot of little skin bumps because i am a teen, but i wanted to ask what i can drink instead to give me clear skin. I love your vids sm💙 they give me motivation to take care of my body in my growing times🤗
Hi!! Thank you soo much for these tips, these are so important for me as a teen, and my parents don't buy me skincare, i just have only a moisturizer.. Can you also share a similar video to reduce sebaceous filaments on face (chin and nose) in $0 please
At 64, I've started advising young women about skin health and this video very well sums it up. I had no mentors and seems like the older generations were not taught these things at all. You might notice if something you ate showed up on your skin, but that was about it. The only thing I would add to this list is avoid oils. French fries, crackers, or a few chops shows up on my face and takes weeks to heal. In fact , the way they are processed in modern times has turned oils very toxic. Even the good oils (olive, coconut, avacado) should avoid high heat cooking. Anyway, thanks for your research and tips. Good advice! 😊
When she was talking about the picking our skin disorder I was picking my skin and it was funny because it got really quiet because my sister could hear my phone and say me picking my skin😂
Can I add something to this for the long nails? If those you like long nails wants to keep them, they can use a nail brush with soap and water, to keep their nails clean and don't have to cut them. I do this with my nails when I'm washing my hands all the time! (I'm a subscriber btw, I just haven't commented on this channel yet)
12:40 honestly sleeping enough makes my skin much clearer and glowier,so my skin is best on summer and winter breaks-when I don't have to wake up at 6am, sleeping 10-12 is key but doesn't it sound weird for a teenager to go to bed at 6-7 pm on a school night I also can't do it bc I've got my training to 10:30 so my skin is really bad wen I need to go to school-maybe it's stress too 😅
thank you so much this has helped me become more aware or my do's and donts and randomly after watching ive stopped touching my face altogether definetly subscribing
Tip: If you're like me and you don't want to quit dairy because you just love it so much, just switch to healthier dairy sourced naturally from local farms without added hormones. This will not only help your skin, but it is also beneficial for your body since more natural fats and proteins are present, due to the milk not going through chemical treatments. This helped me so much and hope it can help someone too!
Most important tip reduce dairy intake! Not going to work, I have around 10-14 big cups of milk a day and for the time I had to limit my milk to 3 cups a day I just used even bigger cups lol. Thanks for reading my complaint to my milk addiction! 😊
I used to drink Vietnamese coffee daily and I had a lot of chin acne I stoped and my acne cleared up but I started again and it is showing up again. I can conclude that dairy plays a significant role in creating my acne.
I love your videos, they've really put into perspective my bad habits that affect my skin!! But also where did you get that cute striped top??? Love!!! 💖💖
I just started taking testosterone a more than a few months ago. And my face is covered in acne and under the skin cists. Before I started t, I never had chest, shoulder, and back acne. And it is so itchy! Like you said, this is hormonal acne, but im still going to try a few things that will probably help, like not scratch my pipmples off. In the future i will try these, theh sound amazing. Thank you so much for the tips!
I wash my face in drinking water.... And I learned it's matters so much to wear sunscreen every single day!!!! I notice a big difference. I use a sunscreen from nuteragina .... Because my skin likes their sunscreen
But if I didn’t pop my pimple it gets bigger and bigger and bigger. And after that I have hole on my skin when it heals. I prefer to have scars than holes on my skin.
Thankyou for this video Yeah take out gluten, take out dairy take out fruits some is due to fructose a sugar in fruits ehich counts as sugar might aswell just swallow air😂 I have had acne for 7yrs am 27 now and took out dairy and gluten acne has gone and also i was diagnosed with colitis which kept inflaming my skin inflamation is a real thing guys follow this advice shes 1000% right my acne healed taking this crap out!

I know what I'm talking about because someone in my family has marks on their face because In her youth she played on the pimples on her face, and by the way thank you for the video:) (This is not a hateful comment, it's just advice:)

My Garmin watch adjusts my step goal based on what I do each day. Today, it wants me to do 8816 steps. I missed my goal a few days last week but yesterday did probably about 10k. Edit: You can hurt yourself if you increase your step count too much at once so work on gradually increase it
9:47 I do all of these except this one, and I rlly cant do this one because I live in a south Asian house hold that have rice, bread, milk,or rlly greasy foods everyday and if I don’t eat the food that I get my mom think I don’t like it or I’m being disrespectful 😭😭 Amy solutions?
I just found your channel and you are doind an amazing job! Love it already :D I've got an additional fact for you regarding melatonin production. This may not be as big of an issue in sunny australia, as it is here in the dark of Swedish winter, but melatonin production is actually started during the day by exposing yourself to sunligt. Ideally you need to receive the light frequencies of the early morning light (around sunrise), and the last light (sunset). This maxes out your melatonin production at night

Week 2: Stop picking my fingernails when i struggle with axienty etc
Week 3: Reverse my negative thoughts
Week 4: wash phone screen daily, wash glasses and fingernails daily (and hands)
Etc.
This is what I needed! A reminder ❤ slowly getting back control of my healthy lifestyle. Not going to lie, it’s hard but small changes works. Baby steps ♥️🥰
i think this is the first video about our skin that actually helped and that made me learn something. thanks for that!
little tip for the nut butters: my mom taught me to store the jars upsidown so the oil settles at the bottom so it's less messy then stirring it.
OMG same😢😅🎉
picking my face is the habit I want to change this week! (:
GURLLLL I LOVE UR HUMOR AND YOUR WAY OF EXPLAINING YOUR TIPS .BTH , you really give me nayeon of TWICE vibes
Theres a youtuber who uses papertowels 😂
This was so helpful! I love cheese too, I never realized that could break me out, especially at different times of the month. Thanks for taking the time to make a pdf for us!! :)
The first tip seems to be *really* useful for me, since my acne is hormonal, i will try working out and dancing everyday 😊
I will also try to step outside everytime i can (going out walking to buy things with my family)
i feel so guilty watching this at 2am
Fr fr..
help it’s literally 2:21 am for me rn
WTF ME TOOOOO
Fr same it's actually 1:19 right now
Same idk what l am doing but ya umm is 1:30am 😂
Fel and her advise changed my life a lot better now 💖💫
I'm a teenager struggling with acne, and I can say the best thing I have ever done to help it is not drinking milk.
This isn't related to the video but your smile is so adorable! 🥺
Thank you so much for telling us your ideas to get away from acne and unclear skin. I will try these recommendations
I’m glad these don’t cost anything, because I’m poor and I want to have healthy skin !🥺🖤😭😢
Peanut butter is easy to make by yourself. That way you can avoid sugar and decide how much salt you use. No extra ingredients needed :)
thank you SO MUCH for this fel, so much love for you 🫶🏼
i don't understand my skin...
Good luck!
Another tip I use is to stop using towels after washing my face, I find that using a fan instead helps. But that's just my skin!!
This is by far my most favorite video!❤🎉
ohh i didn't know netflix now has workout shows. thanks for the tip!
Goals for me:-
1.Steps (10k)
2. Food
3.Sugar
4.Dairy
5.Sleep (melatonin)
When she was talking about the picking our skin disorder I was picking my skin and it was funny because it got really quiet because my sister could hear my phone and say me picking my skin😂
You don’t know how much this helped me thank you so much
Can I add something to this for the long nails? If those you like long nails wants to keep them, they can use a nail brush with soap and water, to keep their nails clean and don't have to cut them. I do this with my nails when I'm washing my hands all the time! (I'm a subscriber btw, I just haven't commented on this channel yet)
Personally I just mix some shea butter, argan or jojoba oil and honey together and put it on my lips.
Thankyou so much for this tip, I hope it works coz I can't cut dairy😅
When she told we should'n pick our skin I was already unconsciously doing it
Ughhhh I’ve had acne for like 3 years now 😭 and when it gets better, it’s gets worse all of a sudden 😪
I truly love your channel. Keep doing the best work. ❤
💗💗💗✨
I love your videos, they've really put into perspective my bad habits that affect my skin!! But also where did you get that cute striped top??? Love!!! 💖💖
It's been 2 years that I have stopped consuming refined sugar. It really helps to reduce weight and reduce cravings.
Thanks girl, this was lovely and your vibe is amazing. Sending ❤
I have already followed all these habits and I still have skin problems
Great video. I'd highly recommend a book 'Glucose Revolution' by Jessie Inchauspé. She has heaps of great tips on how to balance blood sugars.
But if I didn’t pop my pimple it gets bigger and bigger and bigger. And after that I have hole on my skin when it heals. I prefer to have scars than holes on my skin.
the fact that she looks like nayeon from twice is melting meeeeeeeeeee
Can’t believe some doctors I’ve talked to said your diet does not affect acne. Like wtf
you can have coffee with almond milk only if you add whipping cream
the vidoes are so aesthetic. I like the details and the way of presenting the informations and the tips! So amazing.KEEP GOING!🩷

When she said avoid caffeine i almost had a heart attack, when i heard after 6pm i was relieved.
I did a bug mistake of dng a facial to my face it literally destroyed my skin a lot and i ended up with sooo many acne on my cheeks with small cysts and my relatives and frnds all are constantly asking abt this I'm just crying every day trying my best to be strong 😢
Girls, stop touching and popping your pimples on your face, it can leave your marks! I know what I'm talking about because someone in my family has marks on their face because In her youth she played on the pimples on her face, and by the way thank you for the video:)
(This is not a hateful comment, it's just advice:)
How is your skin so pretty and how can you not see your acne???
What’s the difference between a normal amount of carbs and sugar to an unhealthy amount?
"Reduce your dairy intake"
*Me, sitting here sipping some milk* "Damn it..."
Dreaming of Korean glass glove white skin? Look no further than *WhiteOnCream* . My skin has never looked this radiant! ✨❤

Love it already :D
I've got an additional fact for you regarding melatonin production.
Recommendation honey is good for your face
