Such a helpful routine! I finished accutane a little less than a year ago and literally cannot describe how different my entire mindset is after struggling with my skin for so long- accutane is so so rigorous and tough but i promise it’s worth it once you’re done. i also love the way you speak about your experience and your self-talk in general, it’s so objective but also kind and inspiring. take care, you’re doing great.
@@rimisha162 I think that I’m on month 10 and my acne is gone. But I still have to take it for like 3 months to ensure it doesn’t come back. It really gets better after the 6th month. I am taking 20mg.
i totally understand you. i've had acne since i was 11 and im almost 16 now. There's been times where i thought it was over and i was healed but then surprise surprise it came back the next day. the worst is when im on my period and my acne gets absolutely horrendous. i try everything and nothing helps it almost feels as if it gets worse. it has taken so much away from the tiny grain of confidence i had that now, i cannot find a thing i like about myself. sadly my mom will not agree to accutane and it's also too expensive so i have to work with what i have. praying for us both and everyone else out there with acne to find beauty in ourselves and bring back or just bring confidence. and thank u Marla for all these vids. you make me feel human and normal, that acne is normal and i dont have to compare myself to others. thank u, God bless
been watching you for years now and by pure coincidence i’m also struggling with acne for the first time in my life right now. having it at college also sucks bc i can’t visit my dermatologist to even get prescribed accutane 😅 i feel you so heavy on how acne zaps your confidence and is just generally discouraging. but i’ve always found you so beautiful and you’re still SO pretty marla! and i hope you will see accutane results soon-i know you will!sending love
Hi, I stopped wearing makeup when I had severe acne until it cleared out, even once it was gone I still not wear makeup. This helped me a lot ... make sure you wash your makeup brushes everyday ...your skin looks way better ✨️
I’ve only just heard back from my doctor after 2 months and they said the only appointment dates for looking to go on accutane are in December 😭 trying to stay positive though and doing as much as I can to help my skin in the meantime. I love your videos and all this talk about acne makes me feel so much better about mine, Ly 💕✨
I don’t know if you are aware that big amounts of biotin can make you break out and Celsius contains high amount of it so please be careful drinking if often! I struggled with really bad acne and went on spilolactone and I’ve learned so much about skin care ever since! Make sure all the products you are using are NON comedogenic it will make SUCH a difference on your skin!! Vanicrem is a great cleanser/moisturizer also I would highly recommend a better sunscreen! TikTok has no much info you can research!! and korean skincare is THE best and super affordable. Wishing you a clear skin very soon Marla 😘
Love the video! I wish i could use expensive makeup it all usually has fragrances that bother my skin, they seem to have better shade ranges for cool undertones. Although i did like the tarte maracuja oil 10 years ago not sure if thats still around havent been to sephora since 2016.
Something that helped me so much, after my moisturizer and before spf was to put a light layer of aquaphor, literally a life saver, my face didn’t feel all crackly at the end of the day
So you had a moisturizer and aquaphor? That didn’t like mess up liquid foundation or make it look oily? Or maybe it wouldn’t be oily at all because accutane dries you up. I’m about to get on accutane and I’m nervous if I can’t wear makeup while on it because if so then I won’t want to take it.
@@biancahernandezno it didn’t make anything oily! If anything it made my makeup look better, just did like concealer on blemishes and then foundation powder until my skin cleared up, then I only used foundation powder (L’Oréal infallible) .
Bro yes grande lash makes me look SOO sick and tired it’s awful! Plus my work always thinks I’m high as hell because it makes my eyes so red!! Ugh it makes me so sad because it works so well
I finished accutane like 5 months ago and i PROMISE that it’s totally worth it, best decision I’ve ever made. To me was 8 difficult months, but the results are amazing, no more pimples and oily skin. I have marks in consequence of accutane, but that goes away with time and a good skincare 💗
Yes! Cortibalm is the best but be careful with it. My lips became addicted to it ahah and were very thin. However, it's worth it to use it while on Accutane!!!
I took acutane for almost 8 months and my skin looked the best 2 months after I was off of it! Hang in there. It was the best thing I ever did for my skin!! 💕
Thanks so much for doing this! I'm three months and a half and my skin is not cleared at all, watching you and other people's comments makes me feel a bit better. I'm at a point where I can't even look at myself in the mirror 😞 I try to use make up but mid-day it looks dry, as much as i'm keeping my skin (and myself) hydrated, anyone has some tips?
How is toleriane enough for you?! I put cicaplast and im still dry lmaooo and full coverage foundation on top, my skin would DIE hahahah im only a week in on accutane and im already a desert🥲🥲
Definitely recommend a sunscreen with a higher spf especially if you’re on accutane!! I learned that we put on less sunscreen than recommended so if your sunscreen spf is 30 you might be applying 15 🫢La roche has some good ones.
