Unlike his films, Burns has not publicly shared his collection until he allowed the International Quilt Study Museum in Lincoln Nebraska host an exhibit of a small selection of them. Pat I love the fabric with the little children. It would put some whimsy into it and it would be very unique. The polka dots are just too much. Take an hour and do some cross stitch to unwind. It's good for the soul.
I would choose the Kaffe or Tilda. The Kaffe made me go Wow and the dots made me go oooooh.

Unrelated: Just wanted to tell you that my husband and I are at the New England Quilt Expo in New Hampshire this weekend, and your name came up when we were chatting with one of the venders. Her booth was called “Tula!Tula!” and the butterfly quilt, which she pieced, was displayed on her wall. We all follow you on your UA-cam channel and are familiar with the pattern - all because of you! It was so cool to see it in person after having followed your progress making the same quilt. Then, we saw a second butterfly quilt (same pattern) in the exhibit hall. It’s a huge, amazing quilt! Oh what fun! Thanks for all you do for your viewers, Pat!❤

A vote for the children here. Over the years I've heard ditzy being used for fabric with small, dotted-like designs, but it's been a while. I've also heard it used to describe people. (My mother called me ditzy my entire life... It was not necessarily a compliment. 😉)

Rest and recuperate! Everyone has low energy days. At least you have the product of your labors to show for it! I’m having a Tackle it Thursday to get a couple of tasks I have been putting off because I know they are going to be a pain. Deconstructing and re-piecing a complex pieced border that I foolishly didn’t measure as I went and is too big, putting together a Cuddle backing that needs more than one seam (I haven’t seamed minky before but I know it will be a hassle.) and finally putting together the 3 strips of a pieced backing I didn’t finish Tuesday. These projects have been sitting for a while and hanging over my head so time to get them DONE! Deep breath, cup of Joe, and hoping for lots of patience today… Thunderstorms so at least I’m not tempted to blow it all off and go outside and play! 😂 Have a great day everyone!

G’morning Pat! House/Love xstitch: I like the kids or polka dots. For the kids, I would put the grouping with the umbrella in the bottom left, so it looks like the umbrella is being blown right. And I’d also add another grouping or pair of kids on the top right of the framing.

I am allergic to 12 types of grasses, elm, and oak trees--and living in East Tennessee, we are considered one of the worst places in the USA for allergies. But it is pretty!

I have seen Ken burns several times, love his. There is also a nice PBS UA-cam video on quilting in America and it shows several different quilters and their styles. It is also a great watch.

I loved the ditsy flowers. The color is perfect, but the fabric with the children is so cute. Seems like the perfect thing with the house! And color is the same or close as the ditsy. Take it easy with the yard work. Maybe next spring you should treat yourself to gardeners. Let them clean everything up and then you can plant whatever you want!!! ❤️

I use mulch for weeds & it works so much better & easier... Baby steps for gardening as it took all winter to get thst way so don't try to get it all done in one day!!! I vote for the ditzy fabric as it doesn't take away from the cross stitch.

Cut up the floss remnants and put them out for the birds to use in their nests! Works with yarn remnants too.

I love the little children border. I had the best time watching this one. I think my husband thinks I have totally lost it. Every time you said don’t hyperventilate, I just could not stop laughing hysterically. It has been a real rough work week, so this just made my day. Thank you so much for that. I already enjoyed Ken Burns quilt collection. It is fab. I love participating in your fabric pulls. I agree the dots are overpowering. Too bad cuz they’re wonderful. Pick the kids for the bottom. This getting older stuff has a way of catching us unawares. I got pretty stiff too as I started a spring cleanup for my herb garden. Exhausting! Now if all this rain would stop. It's really muddy. A good day for staying indoors to sew.

I have been getting the FQS RSS quarterly bundles for a couple of years. I had to stop, because I hadn't made anything with them yet! I do have two packs put together with scraps, but I got sidetracked and have not started the quilt I intended. Sound familiar Pat, anyone? 😂
I hear you 100%! I've been doing work in my flower beds and I found muscles that I didn't know I had until they started hurting. It's so nice to have done though so it's totally worth it. Now back to quilting!!!!!

I have that Kaffe fabric. I have used it for several things over the years, including a quilt for my granddaughter when she was in pre-K. She is now 20 and in college.
