- What’s happening in this Breaking Bad clip?
Hank is sitting with Walter inside the car and reveals that he is really going to Los Pollos Hermanos to plant a GPS tracking unit on Gus' car. Walter is nervous since he is already on poor terms with Gus and because Mike Ehrmantraut has appeared and is watching him, but Walter ultimately gives in to Hank. Walter pretends to plant the tracker and goes inside the restaurant, where Gus meets him at a register. Walter hastens to assure Gus that he did not plant the tracker, showing it still in his pocket, but Gus tells him to do it. Perplexed, Walter plants the tracker on his way back to his car and leaves with Hank.

What’s the TV show Breaking Bad about?
Walter White (Bryan Cranston from Godzilla and Total Recall), a chemistry teacher, is diagnosed with lung cancer. He decides to make and sell methamphetamine to repay his medical debts and secure his family’s future.
Season 4 of Breaking Bad:
Gus (Giancarlo Esposito from The Mandalorian and Maze Runner) tightens security at the lab after Gale's (David Costabile) death. Gus and Mike (Jonathan Banks) work to drive a wedge between Walter and Jesse (Aaron Paul), seeking to coerce Jesse to be their solitary cook by capturing Walter while at the same time eliminating the Mexican cartel. Skyler (Anna Gunn) accepts Walter's meth cooking, and works with Saul (Bob Odenkirk from Better Call Saul and Nobody) to launder his earnings. Hank (Dean Norris), while recovering, tracks Gale's death to Gus and the drug trade. Gus releases Walter and plans to kill Hank. Walter tricks Jesse into turning against Gus, and convinces Hector Salamanca (Mark Margolis) to detonate a pipe bomb in the same room as Gus, killing them both.

When Gus says “Do It” that second time, I get chills down my spine.
It made me feel safer, since he knew Walt was stuck. So ue let him do it. Later he drives elsewhere and removes it
When Gus says "do it" you just do it
palpatine who
Dew it!
@@RobeonMew no, gus didnt need to remove it bc all he did with that car was drive to and from work. And he could control his entire empire from his laptop in the back office, he doesnt need to travel too much to run his business. By letting Walt put the gps on his car it actually further frustrates and sets Hank back bc all he can see is Gus just drives to and from work when the gps was supposed to show Gus driving to the laundry (in Hank's mind)
Not buying Hank a soda is when Walt became Heisenberg.
Lmao underrated comment
You don't ask, you don't get.

I immediately said "That's what she said!"
I'm always amazed that THIS is how Walt finally got to see Gus' face again after the box cutter scene.
I love this scene. So much tension for Walt
Jesus I forgot that. That makes this scene so much more frightening
Jesus 7 episodes until they saw eachother again, that's wild af I never noticed that until you mentioned it.

The most intense scene in any show: "Anyways where's my soda?"
It's MINERAL WATER.

As a sperg with real bad anxiety, this is actually true.
I always thought this scene had a slight sense of humor when Mike rolls up, and you see all three of them are bald lol. Just three bald heads in a row lol
Three bald heads in a row
Breaking Bad had a thing with its main characters and bald heads, now that I think about it. Walt, Hank, Mike, even Jesse in the final season had close to a shaven head (even moreso in El Camino). Guess there’s just something about bald guys.
Bald people are badass
@@Oabize Exactly. Consider Pryce in BCS.
@@Oabize you sound bald
0:46 I lost it laughing when I first saw this and saw Mike pull up, it’s like something from a sitcom
*crazy applause noises
That was the moment Mike became “this fucking guy…”
I think that’s why BB is so popular, it’s like a mix of several genres at once. Sitcoms being one of them.
The way both Walt and Mike lean forward is fucking hilarious to me
Mike listening to Hanks dirty talk
I like to imagine that when Walt comes back OUT of the restaurant and Hank has that look on his face, the entire duration of it is because he sees Walt carrying only one drink and no other reason.
this comment actually killed me lmaooo
“ what the hell is…” ‘is he only carrying one soda?
Honestly think it's ridiculous for Hank to ask Walt to do this at all. Walt, a mild mannered citizen as far as Hank knows, should feel uncomfortable about being asked to do something like this. Had he refused it would be perfectly reasonable.
Was hanks police partner dead here already? It would make sense a bit walt is the most one he trusts
@@Oabize No, but Hank didn't want to get the DEA involved
Hank was injured.
@@kentknightofcaelin4537 because all he had against Gus was a hunch, a bunch of conjunctions born from seeing Gus' merc in the house of Gale.
He couldn't get the DEA involved at this point and needed someone weak-willed and malleable enough to take part in an unofficial investigation that could get him killed. He chose Walt, because he *thought* he fit the bill perfectly. Which worked well for Walt because his hesitance fit the character that Hank believed him to be.
On the other hand, it might also be that Hank subconsciously suspected Walt already (several scenes suggest this, such as the first conversation about Gale's "W.W", and Hank's reaction when his ex-boss talked about how Gus was right under his nose the whole time) and wanted to test him even while his conscious mind couldn't wrap itself around the idea that Heisenberg could be Walt.
I love how Mike is there watching with half a smile

He really is an excellent hitman.

Gus's calm demeanor in this scene and the acting within acting is so amazing but terrifying at the same time
Do. It.
Walt who always felt unconfortable, all the questions he was asking about Hank's investigation... the equipment that what stolen from the highschool that employs Walt... all that money he suddenly earned by playing games... his disappearence for many days... his second phone...
In my opinion , the main reason why he didn't suspect Walt is not that he's his brother in law.. it's because Hank never considered Walt anything but a simple guy with a poor life who'd never get the balls to commit such crimes...
...this
Yeah I mean its pretty evidently shown throughout the show Hank always perceived himself as an alpha, a DEA agent whilst he saw Walt as a shy man living an underachieving life as a high school teacher and the cancer only added to the pity towards a very medicore man.
@@36200 yeah okay Sherlock Holmes

He made it to obvious that he was clean. Should’ve went to a strip club or sum
Ye imo he made a mistake with making it too obvious. The investigation could have ended there.
@@beanteam2217 If Gus did what the comment above said, that's more than enough .. you saying strip clubs and stuff? Just because your mind is towards Things like that, doesn't mean a professional like Gus would even think about those lol....
Yea it's the 1 thing that is objectively dumb that Gus does. What person goes only to work or home over the course of a week? What about the grocery store, pharmacy, bank, hardware store, auto mechanic, restaurant, or literally any normal place that would make him look busy but clean? Big mistake by Gus

The fact that he didn't bring him a soda is actually really smart, script-wise. It further underlines under how much pressure Walt is in this scene.

He didn't grab two sodas because he needed a free hand to put the tracker on.
I just want to go to a fast food restaurant where there's a guy as professional as Gus that's running the place. I'd eat that damn chicken like 3 days a week because you know he's running a tight ship.

The foreshadowing...
Gus saying “do it!” in a calm voice was much more impactful than Shia LaBeouf screaming “Do it!” several times over.
