Guy knows who he's dealing with, his sworn enemies. Still puts out a veggie platter for the meeting lol
Definitely, I swear I swear I like this Mike seen in the Better CAll Saul timeline.
He didn't know too well, because he expected a convoy of them and was surprised that only one non-senior cartel member was sent.
Veggie platter that nobody dares to eat
perhaps to set a reputation as someone who always provides refreshments, so that if he ever needs to poison someone, they dont suddently get suspicious about being offered foodstuffs/drinks.
I can’t believe Walter forced this honest fast-food businessman into his drug empire to manage his distribution
That wasn't walter that forced him into it, it was Hank all along!
@@yohomiechains8881 i always thought it was walt jr
@@borarider669 wasnt it Skyler?
Yeah who is gonna scream breakfast 🥞 in the morning then ? You will do it ?
Gus, Mike, and my man Saul were some of the best side characters ever written. This show was a masterpiece
Have you seen every side character to ever be written for television? Cuz if not then you're not qualified to make that decision
@@a.c.1085well he said some of
Even if he'd seen 60 shows in their entirity, and these three rose to the top of that sample, it would be a pretty fair statement
@@a.c.1085i don’t think anyone has
couldn't agree more.. magic
Omar from The Wire surpasses these in my opinion
Gus is invaluable as an ally, but a fucking nightmare as an enemy
Where is Tuco
@@lesterepstein2660 where is your brother jeffrey?
Giancarlo Esposito is a brilliant actor.
Walter just being jealous that they hired Jesse right after he refused Walter is such a child in this show
Forgot the second meeting between Gus and Walt in thé restaurant ❌
"I don't think we're alike at all Mr. White."
i can’t imagine the effort that goes into these
Not every single scene. One of the first few scenes was his ridicule of Walt for having Jessie a junkie around as an associate.
Omg ty i needed this so much
Such a great show.
I once had a friend who admired Gus for the tasty chicken, he went to him at the restaurant to ask if he can have a copy of the recipe after eating there for so many years. I never heard from him and never saw him again, his home was up for sale in such a short amount of time.
Things would have gone so smoothly if Walter & Jesse had listened to Saul instead of going insane every step of the way.
Also, Gus has a magnificent wardrobe. He's such a sharp dresser that I'm legitimately jealous of how professional & put together he presents himself at all times.
It was more or less Gus associating with two drug dealers that used kids that was a breaking point for Jesse. Walt protected Jesse for his own interests.
@@mrconroy4672 Nah. That's nonsense.
If everyone had listened to Saul things would have been fine.
@@Archedgar relatively true, but the same time Gus doubled down on the drug dealers.
@@mrconroy4672 Nope. That's still nonsense.
@@Archedgaryou are absolutely clueless and youre showing you have 0 understanding of the show
i think you forgot the first time they talked. at least its not in order. "i dont think we're alike at all mr white"
It was clear from the beginning of this extraordinary series that the writers are the single greatest components that deserve the accolades. I am aware that it requires good actors, directors and many other vital factors to make a successful series, but what really sets this series apart is the brilliant team of writers.
13:40 What a caring person !
Walt was so unhinged im surprised he made it through the 1st season. But he made a killer product that no one can duplicate.
Which program does this guy use to put into 4K? Anyone have any ideas, I’ve heard topaz being popular but idk …

Wow 🤩
Gus goes from wanting Walter to cook for him to wanting him dead over two dealers and that whole "i don't believe fear to be an effective motivator" then he proceeds to kill Victor 🤔
Seems to me the writers forgot their own character.
There are many examples in this show of characters having principles that they claim they value but prove to be rather thin. Such are the virtues of a criminal
Mike said that…
@@Dylonely42 no in the car gus says it to Mike
@@TellYouSomethinMan Then he changed thanks to Mike between Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad
I believe he kill victor because he was seen at the crime scene of Gail’s murder. He had to dispose of him anyways so he took the opportunity to do it in front of Walt. So not really motivating with fear but just choosing to do it publicly
"I don't believe fear to be an effective motivator" 5:47 vs. "Hand me that boxcutter, my good man"
Waltuh thought he is the main guy, but Gus is the main guy
Nope. Walter's the man. Gus thought he could fuck with him. He found out the hard way that he couldn't.
@@matthewphilip1977 Walter's a wannabe to the end lmao. Notice how he immediately started mimmicking Gus's mannerisms after he killed him. But all these self-proclaimed "sigma male" Walter fans continue to lick his toes
@@crylune Your guy Gus got wasted. By Walter. Same for Mike and the rest. Give it up, fangirl. Walt's the man.
Everything went to shit when Walter joined lol
Okay so he knows a guy who knows a guy who knows another guy..
Vet, Mike & Gus?
I think that’s supposed to be read as Saul just trying to make it seem like there’s more distance and an extended process getting to Fring instead of just saying I’ll ask my guy Mike to ask him. Saul knows Fring better than he wants Walt to actually know.
If the answer was no, there was no reason for Walt and Jesse to know who Fring was, so Saul didn’t tell them.
@5:40 but Gus, what about your dog metaphor about Nacho with Mike before haha 🫠
Truly a bruh moment for finguh
Saul said he "Knows a guy who knows a guy who knows another guy" but wouldn't his connection just be Mike > Gus? Who's the third person?
Probably victor, but yh doesnt rly make sense
@@dillon_1944 Only connection I can think of, is the veterinarian > Mike > Gus. But at this point in the series, the vet left the game and Saul was in close with Mike. So only thing I can think is that Saul was intentionally obscuring his connection to make it seem more distant than it actually was.
@@GlassesAndCoffeeMugs i agree
@@GlassesAndCoffeeMugs You took it literally.... Saul only said that because he doesn't want anyone to know how connected Saul actually is... He is a lawyer.... try to make a case based on " I know a guy, who knows a guy, who knows another guy"....
@@grazingrhyno5620fr breaking bad fans stretching the smallest details like always
@27:00 he evolves to Heisenberg
Funny how on Breaking Bad, Gus Fring got thinner and younger than he was on Better Call Saul which was meant to be a prequel.
Funny how people abuse the word funny so badly
gus and walter could have been best buddis
5:35 This simple moment and when Mike warns Gus to not use fear to control Nacho is a bittersweet thing
With Nacho, it wasn't really necessary to use fear to control Nacho. Gus realizes this nearly too late when Nacho kill's himself, making him take that initial warning from Mike to heart
Unfortunately, for Walt, *Mike is the one suggesting it to Gus.* While doing so with Nacho was needless, it was very much warranted with a bastard like Walt. If Gus opened up more to Walt about what was happening, then just *maybe,* everyone's life would've been different. Walt, despite his insecurities and sensitive ego, might've looked past those flaws and follow Gus unquestionably. Jesse might've been able to stack up to the plate without causing any trouble, and everyone could've ended up better than they did
There's a chance this might've never have happened regardless, but the opposite could be true. We'll never know...
Never make the same mistake again twice
they should make a spin off of gus and his brother before hector pops his ass
bruh i dontask this questions
Is Gus Fring supposedly gay? With all that money and power that dude could get any woman he wants.
Do you really think that's how being gay works? Shall the universe bless your naive soul.
The final scene of BCS, with Gus at the (winery?) whilst exchanging conversation with a server who delivered a fine wine to be sampled was pretty much as on the nose as the writers could get without insulting the audiences intelligence. The implication that Gus was interested in the fellow, who's name I forget, but until his revenge was complete, there couldn't be another person after Max.
In a Better Call Saul clip (or Breaking Bad, I can’t remember), it is hinted that Gustavo is gay. Remember that flashback where Gus and his business partner Max Arciniega we’re trying to make a deal with the cartel?
I’m forgetting a lot of things but that flashback is pretty much confirmation of his sexuality I believe
…In other words, this is me ☝️🤓
Yes, he's gay. The man he loved was shot in the head by the salamancas in front of him.
Gus is not gay. Max was his brotherlike. Los pollos hermanos, not los pollos lovers.
