Home Free is an American a cappella group of five vocalists, Austin Brown, Rob Lundquist, Adam Rupp, Tim Foust, and Adam Chance. Starting as a show group, they toured around 200 shows a year across the United States. The group competed in and won the fourth season of The Sing-Off on NBC in 2013. They sang an arrangement of Hunter Hayes' "I Want Crazy," as their final competitive song, earning the group $100,000 and a recording contract with Sony.

Have you heard Run to You by Pentatonix? It's an original song, exquisite 5 part harmony. Quite a departure for them, and one of my all time favorites! The Live in Berlin video on UA-cam is acoustic in a church (I think while it's raining). The one uploaded by Classical MPR is also live. They're magicians!!

Adam Rupp is an insane beatboxer - his rock/country/blues sound is absolutely flawless. Tight snare, vibrant hats, perfectly tuned toms... That man is one of the cleanest sounding drum kits I've ever heard.
Austin's girlfriend, Amberly, was there when they did this, and he sang it to her. I love the way he wrinkles his nose.❤

In that song, you can hear a child in the audience become overwhelmed with emotion and begin to weep. Amazing when they convey emotion as well as incredible music.

I completely agree! Adam “Freak of Nature” Rupp is phenomenal and my favorite Home Free member. I became a Home Fry a few months ago after watching Chris Rupp analyzing some older videos and breaking down their arrangements. Adam’s range is crazy.

Yesss! This is so good. I must admit I was one of the few that didn't appreciate Michael Bolton belting my ears off with this song. But now I love it. Austin made every note and word so clear that he was telling me a story and bringing the song to life. His vocal is just so powerful, but at the same time he creates the impression that 'hey don't sweat it, there's more where this came from'. The rest of the group framing his performance to perfection is just the icing on the cake. I am however super furious with Darren for the abrupt fade at the end. Grrrr! Frankly I'm amazed that this song doesn't have more views on their channel than the 470K it is sporting. I guess too many people dismiss HOME FREE as country and don't bother checking out presentations like these. Oh I can't wait to watch your reaction. You're going to love this. Sorry for this long ramble, but it's midnight here and I just woke up for your premiere.

@@3912James - I always loved Percy Sledge's original and Home Free's rendition is just as good. I thought Michael Bolton's was rather over-wrought (more like he was passing a kidney stone in that bathroom).
I have a good friend who is the lead singer/guitarist in a country band and one day while we were driving to lunch, I played a Home Free album for him to hear for the first time. Rory’s mouth fell open and he listened with rapt attention. After a few songs, he smiled and said “their cover is often better than the original!” This is surely the case for this song. Bless Percy and Austin for reminding me how much I love my woman!

Thanks Maggie for doing this reaction video to Austin Brown. Yeah, at the end when Austin hit those high notes what pretty awesome. He went high twice so I feel they should've let him at least hit completely the first time and then maybe do the fade away during the second time he its the high notes. They did the fade away on their "Mayday" cover as well. Anyway, Austin slayed the holy hell out of this song. Percy Sledge would be proud.

Yes, he's a GREAT singer....but what genre of music would make him a super star and more well known???
He won't get played on the radio or streaming without being more popular to the masses unfortunately.

Somebody has to decide to make him a priority and make the effort and spend the money to do it I think. Just being good isn't enough. There are plenty of crap "talents" that have made it big but have no skill. Austin has the skill but probably no "hook" to make him big.
@@davepasnthru It's all about what genre of music is involved and what Austin might be good for. Pop, R&B, Rap(ugh), country, standards, etc.
Even people like Michael Buble and Josh Groban, who sing old Frank Sinatra type music which went out of style in the 1950's are considered superstars. As far as Pop, Ed Sheeran started singing on the street as a teenager, and now he's one of the best selling artists in the last 10 years.
Of course, as well as Austin can sing, it usually takes more....ie songwriting, playing an instrument, etc. More than just a great voice

Austin was the only one in a studio from what I have heard. They are still in guaranteen and in their seperate homes. Chance in LA, Austin and Tim in Nashville, and Rob and Adam in Minnesota. This song has quickly become my favorite Home Free song and they have so Very many great ones !!!

I only heard this song for the first time a couple of days ago! Where have I been?!!! Love your reaction to this Maggie Renee! I read a couple of comments on different reactions to this that literally had me in stiches yesterday. One commenter said this video should come with a warning label as it might cause a spontaneous pregnancy! The other commenter was a 71 year old woman who wrote that it literally melted her panties right off her body! Austin has such a "bad boy, but don't you just love me" look when he's singing into the camera like he could get away with just about anything. I haven't heard talent like this in such a long time! Wow!
