Yeah I used at Roosevelt last week actually have a video. Don’t forget a hammer for the tent stakes incase the ground is hard and make sure you get batteries for the led lights. It worked great for me.
I was looking at the Gazelle and ShiftPod mini before I stumbled across this review. There was an Academy Sports just down the road, ended up getting the 4 person and 3 person hub tents. Thanks for the review.
Rainfly on and completely staked out is when the tent is SET UP. Definitely faster than other tent designs but 60 seconds is a marketing fib. Let us know how it does with a good rain storm and an update on durability after 4+ outings with it. Thanks
Yeah I agree I havent had a chance to use it in the rain yet but staked out with top is really about 5-10 minutes.. I ll let you know once i get it in a good rain storm this summer.
Yeah the owners manual states it is water repellent... and they recommend seam sealer. I've done the seam sealing and sprayed Nikwax on the outside to help the DWR treatment. I am concerned how the rainfly sits on mine since it touches so shell material and I feel that could cause transfer to seep in. the pvc window seams are tape sealed and so are the bottom of the windows, so that should help water runoff of the rainfly.. Time will tell but for $300 for the 8 person it's $150 cheaper than the gazelle T8... which i have on order.. will decide later if i switch or keep. I do like the room divider and how the rainfly is solid on this one, no flapping. The floor is not detachable and parts would not be as easy to get than gazelle but i have this one bought and paid for ... so ..
yes but it is also nearly 40% less expensive, i got the 8 person version for $299usd. Would have preferred the gazelle T-8 but it is nowhere to be found at the moment.
@@maccam26 depends on outlet too, with the right coupons I was able to score the overland edition t4 for under the intro price that gazelle had listed.
@@maccam26 but I agree, wasn't saying it was inferior necessarily, just remarking as to why it probably costs less. Great alternative though and being able to walk in and grab off the shelf
@@GamerNxUSN agree for us we are beginner campers, i'm giving this one a shot and we will see, worse case i'm out $300 and I'll grab the T8 at one point or another
I’m sure you could just might want to get some sand stakes. The ones that come with it wouldn’t work in the sand and the wind may blow it around if not anchored
Just spent the weekend in ours and had a heck of a windstorm one night 30-40mph winds, stood strong did not budge. Setup and takedown was very easy.
That’s great thanks for the feedback
That's probably the best pop up tent I've seen - especially since it has a floor! Thanks.
Thanks for watching
Just bought one myself. Haven't tried it out yet. Hail State!
Thanks for watching. Hail State
@mattcollum have you had a chance to use it ? We are using ours next weekend for first time, any tips?

@@CollumCamping yep hammer check and I have a USB pack for the light and some goal zero lights too lol... looking forward to seeing how it performs

Hey thanks for the feedback. Good luck camping
I have a gazelle t4 and love it, but this looks pretty for about $80 bucks less.
Yeah I’ve seen a lot of people compare the two but this one def costs less and I’ve had no issues with it.
Love 💕 your tent. Where did you get it and how much does it cost ?
Thanks I purchased it from Academy Sports and Outdoors it was $199. Thanks for watching
@@CollumCamping Well worth the money 💰
Was the top mesh to center point have a tear in it. I've bought 2 and both have had a small but big enough hole to matter for $200..
Yes the first one I got had a small tear. I had to exchange it.
@@CollumCamping same here exchanged it second no issue. Plus it was on sale for $160 🤓👍
Awesome Reviews
Thanks
Great video!
Thanks for watching
Did it come with a footprint? If not, what are you using as a footprint?
Yes it has a built in floor that isn’t removable. I also use a tarp on the ground to keep the moister down.
What is the weight of the tent?
Asking because I am disabled and cannot lift much.
6ft long when closed and about 20lbs

You can tell the material is thinner than the gazelle t4. Does this at least have a removable floor like the t4 does?
No the floor is not removable

Boa tarde!
Por favor!
Vc pode enviar o site aonde eu possa comprar essa tenda da magellan..
you can buy it at academy sports and outdoors website online
seen one today 4/29 at Academy 6' had plenty head room, price was 279.00
Yeah it’s a great price for such a big tent that’s so easy to set up thanks for taking a look
can you use it on the beach?
I’m sure you could just might want to get some sand stakes. The ones that come with it wouldn’t work in the sand and the wind may blow it around if not anchored

Lol, I was also looking at the gazelle tent and found this review
Thanks for taking a look
Is it water proof?
Yes it comes with a rain cover for the top
Fico agradecido!!
Thanks for watching. Gracious
Maybe adjust the balance of volumes between your music and your vocals. Really hard to make out what you were saying
What is the weight of this tent?
Around 20lbs
Rain fly?
Yes it comes with one I didn’t put it on in this video but I have a camping video where I use it.
Joli !
Thanks for watching
So all of them got tears on them
My first one did but the second one I got did not.
my 8 person version had no issues.
It looks awesome but with this orange roof you also could put a honeypot on the tent - it'll be like a magnet for all kinds of insects :-/
Yeah would be nice if they had color options
Looks like a long box for my car.
Yeah it’s pretty long for a car. About 6 feet
Why the background music? Especially repetitive loops. Couldn’t make it all the way though
Still learning the editing software. I actually use a better one now.
Couldn't hear this.
Yeah this was filmed with my old camera. I’ve since upgraded. Sorry about the sound quality but thanks for watching
Gazelle copy cat tent 😂
Yeah it’s very similar but cheaper
