Stealth Camp In woods near abandoned train track off of Highway bridge in hammock.
I stealth camped near an old abandoned train track in a wooded area near Hwy 25 Bridge and Airport. I used my hammock with bug net and cooked an MRE meal for the first time. Very hot summer camp with no rain fly or sleeping bag. Tried out new camp chair also.

Putting the fish hooks and needle in the centre might mean you get poked and irritated from repeatedly gripping it there. Maybe not an issue as a walking stick, but if you ever want to be able to spin this staff for self-defence, you should prioritise comfort, grip and ease of manipulation in the centre of the shaft.

This is a good one .. I use a Sucrets complete tin . It's deeper but shorter than an altoids tin . You can buy a broken Gerber Dime or mini leatherman and tale the arm off that has the knife and saw . It makes a good knife for a tin . This is the most practical mini altoid I've seen

Wow!! What a great idea! This is the best idea I have seen all year+, why didn't I think of it? I was gonna carve a walking cane with a snake on it, but when I do I will be adding some modifications. With the hooks in the end I would add 3 of those screw in eyes that you hang pictures with to use for the eyes on a makeshift pole, and maybe a snare wire too, I use a tigertail type wire.

Cool idea. Thanks for sharing. Since this seems to be a fishing heavy kit, why not either include some threaded eye hooks, or have them already in place on that staff (or predrilled holes to mount them in) to easily convert the whole thing into a fishing rod?

Love this. I'm going to make one from aluminum conduit. It will have a coupling on one end and a cap at the handle. I'll thread a solid rod to screw into the coupling that is threaded ,3/8 16 for any tool I want to attach to it. A knife blade, a hook or a spearhead that will fit inside.

3:16 Razor blade. Replacing this with something like a Stanley cutter blade would be more durable. It's also quite easy to improvise a knife from a Stanley blade. 3:44 I recently saw a guy pack this cotton/jelly stuff into 3 cm pieces of drinking straw, then sealing off the ends with a jet lighter while crimping the end with a Leatherman pliers. One straw tinder like this will burn for several minutes and they are small, and waterproof. I was impressed! 4:38 The wetfire looks a bit bulky for that tin. I'd put in a tea light or two. 7:30 I like that magnesium block fire starter! Great idea in very little space. One thing I learned in my scouts days is to never be without a school plastic pencil sharpener! With it one can shave masses of very fine shavings from twigs, or wood dowels cut from bigger sticks or wood cores. Very easy to ignite. Thanks for a great video. Note: why does everyone always use an Altoids tin? A tin maybe 1cm longer and wider, and a bit deeper, won't be any harder to carry/pack and would double its versatility! One could even use a Tupperware container of just about any shape/size that suits, and they are nearly indestructible! And waterproof, without all the tape around it! I would probably keep all the separate gear in separate Tupperware containers in the pack, or cargo pants pockets. What do you think?

I'm looking forward to the rest of this video and then I'm going to check out some of your other videos. I'm sitting on my ass in the house but I'm still going to join you for a step 2. In this case, mine is Cryo Stash Imperial IPA. It's 8.7% alcohol by volume goodness! They make it with this cryohops kind of hops that seems to give it that IPA flavor without all the excessive dryness that a lot of other IPAs have. Sam Adams is always a fine choice too. Haven't had that kind in a while so maybe I'll pick some up next time I go to the store for beer.

I have the iprotec200 and it's held up very well. It's a smaller unit but with good quality. For me leaving the battery inside the flashlight is the most important basic feature...meaning will the battery be drained while left inside the flashlight housing because flashlights like luxpro or gear light they drain good batteries after a week being left inside the flashlight housing. It's a serious problem because batteries were never cheap even nowadays. Iprotec200 does not drain batteries left in the flashlight, that's important to me. I even have a headband black -diamond flashlight and it seems to drain batteries too so I have too leave open the encasement so the batteries are not fully inserted...kind of sad really.
