Steve I watched your video the day before quarantine in March. I said WTF I'm not going to stay at yso left NC, went to arkansas and camped for 2 mths, Free in buffalo river. Fuck the gov, I live my own life.n

I guess it's just really nice to see someone genuinely enjoying themselves and being happy with some basic stuff on a whacky camping trip. Love ya Steve. I'll be donating to the beer fund after the holidays.

"Going to eat this and get to bed Right Away, Right Away" as Beautiful Wfe is standing in the doorway waiting for him. Awesome adventures, from Michigan, Steve!
What I've used for high wind situations, especially where it's hard to get stakes in, is the spiral stakes people use for dogs. You can use a log to get the leverage to get them in, and you only need a few to be sure your tent won't blow away. Downside is, compared to traditional stakes they're enormous.
I love how you make camping so accessible to everyone. You are so down to Earth that I am inspired to do the same. Please keep going! I love your shows. Thank you so much!
I always invest in a separate ground sheet to pitch my tent on. A cheap plastic tarp is good enough. Keeps more moisture and mud etc off the bottom of your nice tent.makes packing up easier.

Once again, camping in front of a background that looks more stunning than any painting I could imagine. You have quite the life there Steve. Keep on hunkering down!
@Satyromaniac I have seen MUCH painting. I’ve been around the world and seen MUCH painting. Many MUCH painting I have seen. Still, this background is ridiculous. It’s a MUCH amazing background
I am sure Steve makes money off UA-cam views, UA-cam merchandise and off his sponsors in paid promotions and donations in order to travel so much while living out there on the road. At least he is enjoying life in beautiful territory in Canada. It is possible for others to do this but I am sure getting started would not give a lot of funding. I find it amazing that he is able to do what he loves to do living on the land. Most people would not be able to financially be able to do this if they have a home and bills to pay but then this can provide great opportunity for a camping homeless drifter (not in the sense of a homeless person that has absolutely nothing) but has some money to get started and the intelligence to be able to make enough money while doing excellent videos over time. I have the money and knowledge to make money out there, the equipment to get started, a really nice RV with a 12,000 watt solar panel system, 16 hour battery bank to run everything needed if in a jam, spare solar equipment with built in panels and a wide variety of camping supplies. Water craft and amazing truck with everything I own totally paid off. I would absolutely love doing what he does but I have a major issue, it's called a permanent home with a wife and kids who can't travel with work and school therefore a ton of monthly bills. I would not be able too. With all this said, I admire Steve and actually pretty jealous actually. I think most of us are. He really does have the most amazing opportunities people could only dream of doing. Though my wife who is a nurse and kid old enough to do things on his own and does, I am starting to plan on taking my RV up into Canada as soon as the pandemic clears a bit and is safe but unlike Steve who has all the time in the world, I could only get out for 4 weeks a month due to a monthly obligation that I need to spend at least one day a month back home in order to fulfill a monthly appointment. But I really wished I could spend 3 months at least like what Steve does, he is a inspiration to all. Nova Scotia is indeed my first Canadian trip but I think I like Alberta Canada a bit more with those gorgeous mountain backgrounds without question.
@Satyromaniac ... Without question, there is places such as in the north west North American regions, throughout Canada and Alaska all that is amazing like this with those picture perfect regions as well as other similar regions around the world like the highlands of Scotland, Ireland and Wales to name a few but I must admit, Alaska and Canada has some of the most breath taking regions in the entire universe indeed. If you have interest, more inland around the Rocky mountains in Colorado are also picture perfect and amazing also. I was selected for one of the National teams / Olympic teams back in 88 and 92 decades back right out of high school as though I qualified, my parents would not let me join until leaving high school so I had to graduate first. Anyways, with growing up in Miami though I traveled for tournaments, I never had the opportunity to live in mountainous regions nor spent hardly anytime ever around snow even being from South Florida. The only Olympic training facility is in Colorado springs so this opened the doors to reside in the Rocky mountain region to experience all this. I am just suggesting this area to you if you ever do get a chance to travel to experience such a location, I really encourage you to go here or certain regions of the Pacific Northwest such as here in Alberta, Oregon or Alaska.
This has to be the most beautiful place I've seen. So happy beautiful wife is along to enjoy it too. Keep making great videos, they give me great peace.

Most people: "Ugh, I hate all this packing material they ship these with!" Steve: "Looks like we're gonna have a lot of good fire starting material with us today... that's excellent!"
The funny thing is...lots of fire starting material, but, what do we have a fire for... we're going to try cooking on a tiny camp stove😂 I'm all about camping light, but he's glamping...so, bring along the 1 pot cast iron wonder...dutch oven! It can do everything, even pancakes. Love the tent though. Would love to camp in this setting with this guy/couple...just to make it a little easier to relax. Thumbs up on the review.
Both of them should be close by. Forestry is mostly Calgary based it seems and Steve is up in Edmonton. They can meet in Red Deer and hit the mountains.
I love this tent! I really appreciate when you "JUST" camp. Stunning views. I get so nervous watching you hunker down in the stealth mode. Here in FLA you would get shot. Love this vid. You need murch. STEP TWO & BEAUTIFUL WIFE. Lots of cross-over potential.
So steve! Im actually heading up to Maine in a few months, thanks for the horrifying realization that the sun will be down by 3:30! Also, I am going to have to check out otter tents, I want to get into camping as well. As usual great video man!
I live in central Maine, sun starts to set at 4:30 this time of year but in a few months it will be more normal again lol. People from out of state crack me up. All flooding in because of lock down panic, be more afraid of the long, boring isolated winters.
I use the bit smaller version of that, but it's ALWAYS a great idea to tie each corner down to keep them from "popping" in, and then inside you have tie downs as well in each corner. Works great. We had 50mph winds one night and It didn't budge. LOVE camping in my ice shelter!!
Steve I have been watching your channel for years, and today was a treat everyone in a while I find one of your older videos I have not seen yet! Another banger of a video mate! Cheers!
Wrap the plastic handles with aluminum foil and that always works to keep them from melting. Do several layers and keep it loose. It keeps your hand from getting burned too.
ALWAYS set up your tent at home before you head out; you want to make sure that everything is included and it all works, and if that tent had a stove jack, it would be perfect. Great video, Steve!
Really enjoyed this one Steve. You take us to places that may be common to you but are a world away from the scenery most of us are surrounded by. As always I really enjoyed the overnight time lapse, never get rid of those. Cheers!!
For some reason, the part at 2:17 when Steve goes into and comes back out of the tent makes my 1-year-old baby laugh hysterically. We play it repeatedly to distract him so we can brush his teeth.
Take out bag grease fire starter... I'm telling my son when he bugs me about trash in my car... Thanks Steve!!! I wish you (and beautiful wife) MANY years enjoying your new tent!
I got my hunker down sweater 3 days ago. Right on time the temperature was in the 30’s . It is very comfortable, warm and has a hood. It is perfect for the cold and all I needed to stay warm. It was worth the money.

What a beautiful view-another enjoyable camping adventure!
Most people: "Ugh, I hate all this packing material they ship these with!"
Steve: "Looks like we're gonna have a lot of good fire starting material with us today... that's excellent!"
@@mattjohnston2653 "Glamping" and "Steve Wallis" are not two things you very often see in a sentence together. 😄
@@NorthernKitty I don't like this anymore than you, but that's what he wants, well...he gets it😆😂
Man watching Steve helps you escape from the real world
Those mountains are amazing! I'm from Australia and we don't have anything like that here. Thanks for the beautiful camp spot Steve.
I prefer these unscripted random just go with it videos. Things went exactly as nature planned your trip. Awesome as always my man
It's like a Bob Ross painting in the background.
You’re so authentic, we love it!
Thanks Steve! Love the name haha
A Steve Wallis video and a Foresty Forest video on the same day?! It's like all my christmases at once!
When I saw that parade of mountain tops in the background, I immediately thought of Foresty summiting each of them.
I think Maine would set around 5pm in the winter, in a few months that might be closer to 7pm
I live in central Maine, sun starts to set at 4:30 this time of year but in a few months it will be more normal again lol. People from out of state crack me up. All flooding in because of lock down panic, be more afraid of the long, boring isolated winters.
@@marcellogenovese199 Same thing here in South Dakota
@@marcellogenovese199 430?! BRUTAL
Sunset here in Maine is 1601 now. The shortest days are upon us now then of course after the solstice on 12/21 they gradually begin to lengthen.
This man makes winter camping look too easy! Legend Steve! I'm gonna copy you for one of my vlogs!
I use the bit smaller version of that, but it's ALWAYS a great idea to tie each corner down to keep them from "popping" in, and then inside you have tie downs as well in each corner. Works great. We had 50mph winds one night and It didn't budge. LOVE camping in my ice shelter!!
Steve this is Exactly what I was looking for in an insulated tent! Enjoy it my friend and that view is beautiful!
Stands on shore surrounded by mountains, "Not bad scenery." This guy.
Haha
i mean, it's no fancy underside of a bridge but it'll do, it'll do.
Started out with just gonna do regular normal camping. This guy.
Ha ha ha...my thoughts 💯
But that tent though. Looks awesome. Wonder if they make one with velcro hatches in the floor = quick fish 😁
Steve I have been watching your channel for years, and today was a treat everyone in a while I find one of your older videos I have not seen yet! Another banger of a video mate! Cheers!
So cool to have hot food in frigid temps !
Wrap the plastic handles with aluminum foil and that always works to keep them from melting. Do several layers and keep it loose. It keeps your hand from getting burned too.
Good to know.
Cheers!!
Looks like fun kinda wish I was able. One has to enjoy life while they can
Just beautiful scenery, and some really good "Steve-isms" in this one!
I can't wait to see your channel hit 500k subs! Been with ya before 50k looking forward to the continued camps and adventures! Thanks Steve
For some reason, the part at 2:17 when Steve goes into and comes back out of the tent makes my 1-year-old baby laugh hysterically. We play it repeatedly to distract him so we can brush his teeth.
Classic! 🤣
That's cute hahaha😂
Peekaboo!
There's Tablespoons, teaspoons, cups etc then there's Steve measurements, that's GREAT
Take out bag grease fire starter... I'm telling my son when he bugs me about trash in my car... Thanks Steve!!! I wish you (and beautiful wife) MANY years enjoying your new tent!
Steve you Inspire me to camp. Even from my Home in the Middle of a Pandemic
Just got my Step Two mug in the mail today! I love Thursdays.
I got my hunker down sweater 3 days ago. Right on time the temperature was in the 30’s . It is very comfortable, warm and has a hood. It is perfect for the cold and all I needed to stay warm. It was worth the money.
