    Till date neither stiva nor allulose has proven safe by any organisation. Better to use daily usage of normal sugar as per ADA recommendation i.e 4tsf in 24 hours. That is safe.

Prevention is easy to preach but very difficult to practice at an individual level and exactly the opposite is to really treat a critically ill patient without modern science.

    Dr Saheb, don't deliver your speech half in English and half in Hindi because sometimes we don't understand the meaning of some difficult English words.     सर ,आप के VDO मे आप अंग्रजी का बहोत इस्तेमाल करते हो.सभी आम लोग अंग्रेजी नाही जानते.इसकी जानकरी आपको जरूर होगी.अगर अंग्रेजी जाननेवालोंकी आपको जादा फिक्र है तो आप उनके लिये सिर्फ और सिर्फ अंग्रेजी मे अलग vdo बनवाईये.लेकिन जनरल पब्लिक के लिये सिर्फ हिंदिमे vdo होगा तो आम आदमी आप जो कहते हो ओ पुरा समझ जायेंगे.आप अच्छा ग्यान देते हो. मगर ओ समझ हि नही पाये तो आपका vdo बनाने का कोई मतलब नाही रहेगा. ये एक बिनती है.माने या ना माने आपकी मर्जी.

    मीठी तुलसी की शक्कर भी नेचुरल है और बहुत महंगी नहीं है । जिसे stevia भी कहते हैं । हमारे घर में बहुत समय से प्रयोग की जा रही है । कुछ कुछ अवसरों पर मिठाई बनाने के लिए आर्गेनिक गुड़ और सर्दियों में खजूर का गुड़ इस्तेमाल होता है।

    डा०साहब को नमस्कार। क्या व्यक्ति चुकंदर ( Beetroot) की चीनी इस्तेमाल कर सकता है । राजस्थान में इस तरह की चीनी बनानें का कारखाना था किसान इसे उगाते थे फिर मिल को बेच देते थे।इसे बनानें का तरीका क्या था।वह मेरे को नहीं मालूम। मेरे एक पड़ोसी के रिश्तेदार उस क्षेत्र में रहते हैं।यह 40साल पहले का वाक्या है।यह चुकंदर सफेद (White) रंग का होता है वज़न तकरीबन 4सै5किलो होता है।Iam 70year old ànd High b.p.patent.

      Sir, har tarah ki fruit sugar(commonly coconut sugar, beetroot sugar, mango sugar, etc) are similar to jaggery/gud. They are all as good or as bad as any other sugar. You may consume any of these in small amount.

    Thanks Doctor,for the much needed awareness about the dangers of sugar consumption and the possible substitutes .
    But as a general rule of life,even if you totally avoid sugar but lead a stressful lifestyle,it will still lead to hyperglycemia. If one continues to consume more food than needed, lives a sedentary life theneven though it is a sugar free diet will eventually lead to obesity, insulin resistance and increased blood sugar..
    So, everything in moderation with balanced Life style seems to be " madhyam marg "of Buddhism!

    No substitute of sugar is genuinely proven.We had better leave it if we want to live because everything matters if we are alive.A person who has got his heart operated have to keep aloof from sugar, oily foods and even sufficient water.It means , one has to lead a life of a patient. He is a burden for the family he/ she is living with.However, curd, fruits like papaya, apple , blackberry, etc are encouraging elements for him/ her.He,/ she becomes so poor that he/ she can't attend any party.

    Sir are you saying that eating fruits (Fructose) in moderate to high (1 Kg daily) will cause high colestrole and heart disease ? It seems to be opposite to naturopathy because naturopathy says that eat any thing which is available in nature and it is not processed is good for body ?

      Fruits din mei plate k hisab se lena chahiye. Afternoon mei ek plate salad. Uske bad ap apna meal le skte hai. But whole day only on fruit diet is not good.

      Not yet sir. It's too expensive. And secondly it causes some abdominal gas when initially started. At your age, I wouldn't change too much in diet.

    The principle of Ayurveda is anything in excess is prohibited everywhere..
    Sugar or Salt are not bad if taken in limit as per daily requirements of body.

      @@cardiacsecondopinion2880 When Ayurveda was developed, there were jaggery and mineral salt, which were used by many Ayurvedic medicines, nowadays the cause of diabetes,BP is not sugar or salt, but people like a relaxed life, they eat Sugar all day but no physical work,The body gets tired and stop making insulin. and my personal observation is that People who have diabetes, their nature is also bitter not sweet so Nature bannes sweet for them.

    Sir i am confused after this video. Are you recommending elimination of all types of sugar including natural sugars in fruits because i avoid processed sugar but take 1 serving of fruits after each meal(2 meals a day) - Normally i like musk melon and mango.

      1-2 portions of fruits is not bad for you. But don't over do sweet fruits like mangoes and litchis

    Once again a beautiful video. I would like to share my experience; back in the seventies when I was young, I was hating all sweetmeats, candies and chocolates. I never liked them. But, I was experiencing indigestion, heart burns and bloating all the time even when I used to play and excercise regularly. In those times only soda tablets and drinks were only the remedies. I couldn't even eat one samosa or a masala dosa whithout having problems. This continued until I was 45. Then suddenly one day I was very hungry and whatever I ate went down well and there was more demand from my stomach. I was happy and ate anything (not sugary items like gulab jamuns) spicy and tangy. Soon, despite my eating, I began to lose weight. It turned out to be diabetes but I was happy that I was able to eat my favourite dishes in moderation of course and with medication to control diabetes. What I intend to convey is not eating sugar at all in young age may have lessened insulin production leading to all that stomach problems.

    You says in your own videos that food products which invented recently are not so good for health as body can't adjust with these, instead foods which are in our kitchen since 5000 years or more are good for health
    So why can't you promote jaggery, Desi sugar candy or other things which are used since the ancient time in India
    Are you worried to show your forefathers as intelligent?

      My forefathers didn't know, it will become this big a problem or we will have it in plenty. On the other hand Most of modern medicines were discovered in the last 150 years, and they have more than doubled human age. So not all new things are bad and not all old things were good.

    Still it is genetically modified and a chemical. Better avoid sugar and any sweeten Chemical for healthy life.

    Can diabetic patients take it. I have hba1c 8 tested 6 months before. I am not taking any medicine and I have also no problem. I am not taking any type of sweet. Can I use stevia.

    Good narrative doctor saab, I've stopped using sugar since last 5 years. Replaced it with jaggery & jaggery powder for tea etc. Now I'm 64 years old with no health issues with God's grace. What's your comment on jaggery? Pl specify.

      most jaggery are adulterated. Original ones are soft, darker and melt in summer. They can also be found by name desi gud. Atleast with minimum adulteration. adulteration is done to make gud light in color and harder. because people don't buy soft gud which melts.
