I've watch over 10 videos on how to do this and this is the first time loop tools have been mentioned. What a great add-on, and a great tutorial. Other tutorials either don't understand what attach head to body means or they take an hour doing it. The methods shown here are quick and simple and the tutorial is exact to the point. And +1 for no dad jokes which seen to be very popular among other tutorials I've seen.
I'd subscribe 2x over if I could! You have made multiple tutorials now that tell you exactly what you need to know and nothing more unless it's ACTUALLY important! KEEP IT UP!
Thank you a lot. It works exactly as it's seen in the video. But I had the same problem as two people below. When I select the head that also automatically selects the arms and deleted those as well, besides the sceleton (this also happens in the video). Is there any way to delete only the head? (note: I'm a real beginner with blender and anything 3D animation related :) )
Okay, problem solved. This reply below. Didn't switch from object to edit mode: @TarunSinghVishen 1 year ago delete the head in edit mode, hover your mouse pointer on head and press L to select head and delete it by faces
Hello i have a problem with my rig i never had before, when i parent the head to the rig the head goes wayyyyy backward something like 2 meters, do u know what could cause this please ?
Crazy question. With the rig attached to the mesh and the head attached to the body, The character head stretches mesh when attached to body when I rotate the head. I’m guessing the origin on my head isn’t set correctly. Any thoughts on this would be amazing. The body big is perfect. Thank you community 😊
Say I made my own head mesh already. It has shape keys and rigs. I don't want to use the one that comes with FaceBuilder addon. Is there a way around where I swap my model head for mine and just tweak my own head mesh and use Facebuilder as normal? If possible that be amazing bc my own head mesh and body topology would already be the same.
I don't think facebuilder would work with that, there might be a solution online like a different addon for that, but I think the general way that people follow for that is creating BlendShapes from scratch which can be a bit of a hassle
Hey - you known how to do this with a .csi file ? I have a .csi file character that i want swap the head by another .csi file head[ and other body parts] - and also edit textures i will tell you what format the textures later when i go see - I also would like to edit character model dimentions You known !?! MAke less thick - make model slimer - Please answer
hm, that's strange. Maybe before you join the meshes save the textures to a separate file. And then when you join them try reapply the textures to each corresponding material?
The materials should stay on the faces that they were originally linked with, however if for some reason it just shows one material at the moment, then you'd have to select the faces that you want you material on (e.g. the shoes), go to your materials tab and manually assign a new material to them
Hey so the Blender2Unreal addon has changed massively in the last week. I went to make the tutorial and the process seems to be completely different, so I'm currently trying to figure out how to do it with this new version. Sorry for the delay. I'll update here when I figure it out!

Harikasın dostum. Dediklerinin hepsini yapıyordum ama olmuyordu. Kafayı vücuda ekleyemedim boyamayı denemek için sabırsızlanıyorum 👍🏻
Great tutorial. I did most of the part but when I tried to parent/armature deform my head and the downloaded rig, it appears an odd geometry poking out from my face... looks like a light imported together with the head from my fbx file but I just don't know how to delete it
hm, I think what you might have to do then is when you make the head, go to the Texture panel in your facebuilder addon and press export. Then when you put the head into a different scene just go into the shader editor, connect an image texture to the head and add the image there. That should work. Let me know if there's any issues with that:)
Yeah great tutorial but non of the things u did actually worked for me. I couldn’t just “delete” the head from mixamo character. And when I imported my head it instantly joined to my mesh like everything was one object idk how he doing what he’s doing.
I actually dont do too much real life compositing, so don't really use Blenders motion tracking. There are some great videos out by CG Matter and Ian Hubert on motion tracking if you want to check those out. I might try see if I can find any improved ways to do so in the current 2.9+ versions of Blender, to see if anything has changed or if the workflow can be sped up/improved
yet for dumb people like me this didnt help at all. like i spent 20 hours looking on how to connect head to body and nothing. its just people rush xplaining and not shoing tha modes or step by step in doing this. just a oh you need this then do this and there. not this is how you pull this up or how you activate this and how w you fuse this with this. if im having this much trouble cant wait to see how much ill have wiuth clothing \

Good tutorial bro 😀👍
when i move the the armeture controls it just deforms my head
what about the hands . after deleting head
hands are also deleted ------how do i get hands back?
Hey sorry for the late reply, that's very strange, have you checked that it's selected when you delete the head? Might be a strange bug otherwise:/

the head turning brown is there a fix for it?
wow the method you are using to explain is awesome keep the great content!! new sub btw
how to export?
i had maked the face but i want to make my own dress from images how can i do that?
Hey, great tutorial!
Question: how can I keep the hands of the model?
Hey - you known how to do this with a .csi file ? I have a .csi file character that i want swap the head by another .csi file head[ and other body parts] - and also edit textures i will tell you what format the textures later when i go see -

I can't delete the head alone
when I try to select the head, the whole body is selected....
how can I fix this???
delete the head in edit mode, hover your mouse pointer on head and press L to select head and delete it by faces
How to attach a 3D model head to an unrigged body ?
You can join the 2 meshes and bridge the vertices between them.
@@JovanTutorials I was going to ask the same thing haha
Bro how to put our real footage video head and place on a 3d model body....????
Hello
It is possible to get the head of the character with the teeth synchronized to the movements of the mouth
I don't think this addon allows that
You might have to check out iclone for that
What about importing a teeth obj and parenting them to the jaws?
great tutorial! question, how to delete only head without hands? and when I join meshes the texture is missing, any suggestion?
hm, that's strange. Maybe before you join the meshes save the textures to a separate file. And then when you join them try reapply the textures to each corresponding material?
Edit mode. Just select the head's verts and delete
Anyone else wondering how to get in to edit mode?
hot key:TAB
POSE MODE: shit+tab
There should also be a button in one of the top corners saying object mode, when you click it you can change to edit mode
Thank you SO much!😭💯💯👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Hii Boss, i have added head and shoes and joined objects.. Now the problem is.. How to combine the material of these 3.
The materials should stay on the faces that they were originally linked with, however if for some reason it just shows one material at the moment, then you'd have to select the faces that you want you material on (e.g. the shoes), go to your materials tab and manually assign a new material to them
Very clean and im hooked. Keep going.
Please make tutorials on how to properly export complex models from blender to unreal in the future
Thanks!! Will do, theres actually a pretty great plugin for that. Will make a video on it next week!
@@JovanTutorials looking forward
Anyways can i have your email id please?
Hey, my email is jovan@jvnfilms.com
