Amazing tutorial, bro! I wish you continued this as a playlist. Would love to see how you could attach this head to a body and make it as a usable character for 3d animation videos (like youtube). I am a new born 2 months baby to blender. Picking up the pace slowly after the Donut tutorial and Boat on a stormy Ocean (tutorial). 3D world is much interesting with plenty of challenges. I am loving it!
I figured out you could use this as a tool for retopology... all you gotta do is render out a front and left and right side image of your high Poly sculpted face and then use this tool on the output images.... And you get pretty good results..😀
Say I made my own head mesh already. It has shape keys and rigs. I don't want to use the one that comes with FaceBuilder addon. Is there a way around where I swap my model head for there's and just tweak my own head mesh and use Facebuilder as normal?
Amazing tutorial... much better than any I've seen so far...I want to use my own face in another character..I know how swap head but my question is how do I render this out? Or just export it as fbx? I exported but it lacked texture.. what do I do? Sorry I'm relatively new to blender
Keep working with it. I had the same experience for another add-on. After playing with it a while I found a very small thing that was keeping it from loading properly. You are probably missing something very small. Its useful to slow down the video and follow each step one at a time.
I got the cracked version, however this stuff does not work, i really don't understand how the devs thought this would actually work... When i line up the nose it drags up the mouth, when i drag down the mouth again it drags down the nose... Not worth the money ofc
Can you just buy the software for ownership for use as you want or do you only have a limited license and have to be online on their site in order to use it? I don't want to be locked to a particular site for a limited time or monthly subscription [such as is the case now with Adobe Photoshop and other software sites]. Is it upgraded for newer Blender software?
Once you buy the addon it's yours forever, I don't have money so I was just using the 30 day trial in this video, but buying the addon let's you keep it forever, no monthly subscription
Great vid. Super helpful. Anyone have any idea how to reduce the difference in color brightness on the right side of his face (left from our view)? That side is much brighter and whiter than the rest of his face which is more tan. I assume this is the result of differences in lighting in the original pics.
nice tutorial and interesting add on thank you ......... BUT .... so time consuming... not worth the time. You spent hours to make just a head which eventually is not rigged, has no body, , what is the reason for this ? do i miss something ?
It doesn't take hours actually, once you know how to use the addon it'd take maybe 20 minutes to make a complete head. You can rig the head separately and it could be used for something like a head replacement for CG purposes (e.g a head exploding)
Bro, the price is INSANE. It’s so insanely expensive that it’s straight-up disrespectful. Normally, I’m all for supporting developers properly, but only for a fair price. Honestly, I’d rather pay hundreds of euros a year for Adobe than spend money on something like this.
You're one of the few that bothers to show how to clean the head created by FaceBuilder and turn it into something useful! Thanks! 👏
I just dont like facebuilder making it look like I havent slept in a week
Thanks for pointing that out I'll make sure to watch the rest tutorial cause I missed that the first time
Cool Tut! There's now the "Align face" button, that makes the initial alignment for you, and it's quite accurate in the most of the cases
That's really cool!
Thanks but I'd like to say that I can't see the hair when I render with cycles. With Eevee I see it, but the face is translucent.

Might do something of the sort at some point, glad you're finding the videos useful :)

Thank you so much for this tutorial, really easy to follow and clear :)
Anyone know of a free, or cheaper alternative? The free trial doesn't seem to be there anymore. Costs $145 for personal use.
Amazing tutorial! Simple and helpful!
still my fave tutorial on this... at 14:22 in 4.0 blender the material preview see through for hairline no longer functions
how did you turn on material preview?
How to rotate the head mesh for the side view? I tried R for rotate but it's rotating incorrectly.
principled hair BDSF is cycles only. love this tut thank you
how to add curly hair?
We need more blender videos! I love it!!!!!!!!
You really helped me out with hair and the face builder
great vid! when I pressed on "texture paint" it didnt open anything to me like I couldnt see my face in there.. does anyone know how to fix it?
i cant seem to figure out how to scan across the image? if you cant click and drag how do you do it? zooming in and out the image is fixed... help :(
after i made the head was i supposed to press create? or exit another way
Why not use the align face tool?

in weight paint my face aint turn blue what should i doo?
When I hit the texture paint button I don’t get a render like this what am I doing wrong?
Is there a tool to creat the all body
This got me motivated 🔥✌🏾

Best video so far. Thanks 🙏🏻
When you're adding points to the left and right photos, is there not a way to just mirror the points so you can save time?
The hair is refusing to render for me. It just stays looking like it does in the particle editor. Any ideas?
convert it into a mesh
What the little shortcut you used for material preview?
did you figure it out? can't seem to find it anywhere
should just be z
Pressing "Z" on your keyboard presents a menu where you can swap viewport modes
I would want to do it for art
but how do u install it??
i cannot use this addon, they are asking for licence id

what system are you using ie. mac or pc?
Hey...do u know how to make this face more realistic for animation and stuff. Please reply
Are you able to animate the face?
the software creates its own shape keys!.. .so yes....it's high quality too😆
Excellent!
Does it work on 32bit Blender 2.80? Please reply

besides, there's a way to add it to a body.

The question is, for what?
