To those of you who have made unnecessary and mean spirited comments .. WHY? If you don't like what you see and hear why not change the channel and do your homework. Many of the criticisms I have read here reveal a lack of information. Those of us who regularly watch Kim's videos love her chit chat and wouldn't want her to change. She is giving and kind. This is only directed to those who have made the very rude and unkind comments. There is way too much of that in this world today and not enough people like Kim..

Yes, she is encouraging and likes to show and help pple, why down someone who is on here to show you and teach you how to grow, be uplifted and talk up to pple, get people's vibes up not pull them down...The way I see it if your not here to learn and don't like it then don't bother making a comment at all, I know i've learned so much in the past few weeks that I've been able to watch and I'm grateful for people out here trying to teach people how to make their own products to save them from chemicals that cause cancer and death, so she also looks at it to save your skin literally....

I don't know if your company is still around as this is 2019, but I wanted you to know that I loved the entire video. Your description and directions were clear and easy to follow. You answered a wonderful question I had about a preservative. In the comment section, I saw where someone must have posted a negative comment. Please ignore it. Your information was thorough and full of quality and I applaud you. Your video will be saved so that I may use it as if you are the professor looking over my shoulder to guide me. I loved all of the info on how to keep everything sanitized. As much as I love Pinterest, you gave essential details about sanitation that I had not seen in other little short descriptions, Prayerfully, you are still around as I look forward to sharing my outcomes with you. I don't know that I could ever get to a place of selling but I'm looking forward to making and giving them as gifts. Also, I loved that you shared the company where you got your products, be it a company or Wal-mart. Take care and I hope to communicate again.

This is something that I really want to do. I was diagnosed with MS 13 years ago and it seemed as if all of my hopes and dreams had died, but they are now resurrecting along with my faith. So I recently started selling it. But I had no idea how to properly measure/weigh my ingredients. I'm waiting for my preservative and ewax to arrive to make my first lot of lotion (not your recipe) but was feeling so stressed about the world of adding preservatives, I did have a look at the soap calc too! but couldnt find a way in my head to have it help me calculate the percentages for preservative as I need 0.05% of my recipe. Great video. My only concern was placing the fats in the microwave to melt. Considering all the steps you took to prevent contamination and the quality of the items used, a double boiler may be a better option; you can use the same bowl and it would re-sterilize in the boiling water during the process. I do not trust microwaves
because they may harm the nutritional properties. Why go through all that work and take a chance? Other than that,,,, great video.

CoreLigaments when I took microbiology I cultured the microwave at the college (which was filthy inside) and the pay phone. The microwave grew nothing to my surprise but the phone grew all kinda of horrible things that aren't even supposed to be able to live on surfaces for very long. I'm assuming the radiation and heat must kill everything or it should of grown tons of stuff. FYI

    • @CoreLigaments

When you put in the preservative, you said it was .03 oz, and it showed it on the scale, but when the video came back on, the scale measured .08 oz.?? Did you add something else? Also, you should get a scale that has a plug so you don't waste batteries and one that has a zero button, to zero it out. I bought mine on Amazon and I love it. Like the video and understand about the body butter melting in the heat. Was at a craft fair and unfortunately didn't realize my body butter was undergoing a transformation in the 90 degree heat. Didn't have double-walled jars and it melted. I worked so hard on a great product. Just wondering though even if I had the double-walled jars what would happen once the customer bought it and then between that time and the time they got home. I wonder if it still would stay intact. I would hate for them to get it home and then find it was watery and not a good consistency. It would make me look bad. Not sure if selling this type of product in the summer is a good idea. Even shipping it is quite a challenge because of the time it would take to get to the destination and the heat of the trucks and such. I love body butters but unless there is some kind of cooling system, I'm afraid this might not be a good selling product in the summer.

Love this video. Just wondering, can I use a fragrance oil instead of tea tree oil?

Very interesting but how do you know what percentage to put on the label. For example: honey 20%, olive oil 35% etc. how can that be determine?
I like the fact that you are very careful with sterilizing. Thank you for all the videos.

Excellent video & product Fantastic to see a Soap Maker use Unrefined Shea Butter, instead of Refined. As once it has been Refined it is it has Peroxide & all the Eccellent vitamins that are so good for your skin taken out of it,because they also over heat Refined Shea Butter which also takes all the Fantastic benefits for your skin! What a great Product at such a cheap price. If you see white Refined Shea butter you know it has had Peroxide put through to get it white & overheated, which defea

Thank you for posting. This is an informative and illustrative video on making body butter. I can tell you have put some time into the project. I will be making body butter soon, and am researching tools, process, and ingredients now. Recommendation: don't use UA-cam image stabilizer as it makes videos funny looking.

I love your videos. I like the way you take your time to describe the process. I was wondering with this body butter do you have to let it cure like cold process soap or can it be used immediately?

You are brilliant. I wanted to make this recipe for my friends. can I sub the tea tree oil for other essential oils like lavender? I am trying to make this recipe as natural as possible can you omit any of the glycerin or sub a more natural preservatives? Thank you so much for your knowledge!
