She is the ONLY person giving you the measurements. People are weird I swear. Thank you!
:)
Yesss, I been having to guess and do so many trials to figure out how I like it.
Right girl I swear I say the same thing, ma girl asked me how much I used for certain things I make cuz she's making the same thing. And she was like you don't have to tell me if you don't want, but I told her I do not mind her asking because honestly our product will not turn out the same nmw. I do not mind helping ppl 💕 but I also like doing my own research because what works for me may not work for someone else u know.
@@AuthenticallyFonze you’re absolutely right!

Hello! I use Cocoa, Shea and Mango butter in my recipe. I love body butters but they can be very greasy as is, so I add a little bit of cornstarch into my melted butters and oils and it's turns out amazing. A little tip to test the greasiness is to put a spoon in the freezer and let it get cold, then dip it in the butter and oils...it will solidify and you can rub it on your skin to see if it took enough of the greasiness away. If not add a little bit more cornstarch and repeat. Shea butter can get "grainy" when it's over heated. I melt down everything but the Shea butter first and then add my Shea and let it slowly melt in with the residual heat of the other butter and oils. To do the whipping, I put the mixture in the freezer for about 30 minutes until it starts to solidify around the edges, take it out and whip it and repeat that process a couple of times and it comes out beautifully light and fluffy. Stay safe and have a great day...Big ((Hugs)) from Texas! xx : )
When you say "repeat that process a couple of times" do you mean freeze and whip it or melt it, freeze it and whip it please?
@@creativegrace5636 freeze and whip
THAT OR FOR ME IT HAS WORKED TO ADD A LITTLE OF BEESWAX, ALSO THE EFFECT THAT LEAVES ON THE SKIN IS LESS GREASY AND MORE "VELVETY"
Awesome info!
Thank you so much people guarding measurements like it’s their job
You just helped me so much. I love doing this. I'm not selling any yet. Just getting my mixture together. Your communication is amazing. Thank you so very much

Been looking for videos that showed creators making large batches of whipped shea and couldn't find anything and then I ran into your video. Thanks!
Omggggg thank you! I’ve been trying to start my own natural skin care business and don’t understand the measurements that well . I have only seen ppl make small batches for personal use but this is exactly what I needed
The mango butter is wonderful from this company. The shea butter smelled very strong from this company.
I bought Shea butter from this company twice. It does smell strong but I added essential oil which masks the smell really well.
Thank Yooooou So much!!!!!

You can add Ecosoya Soy Wax Also as it’s Dermatology Tested Safe for All Skin Types.
Always wear Gloves
Also I highly recommend that you complete a Aromatherapy Course to understand how to use Essential Oils or Blends as there are many that are toxic to the following people: Pregnant & Breast Feeding Mums, Newborns To Children Of 7yrs, Medications, Medical Problems & The Elderly.
You can add Mica to Body Butter to colour it
is it possible for you to do a video on how to formulate for big batches with the math included? I just found your website and can't seem to stop ordering products lol.
ah ah, yes, we can put that video tutorial on the list.Thank you for getting addicted to our products ;)
@@BetterSheaButter I would also love to know the math!!
@@BetterSheaButter I would agree. I cant wait to see the math tutorial for larger batches. I'm so excited!!
Yes please thats the part iam struggling with but this video helped some :)
I did the math and it looks like she used 60% butter and 40% oil... the oil being 39% carrier and 1% essential for fragrance
Thank you so much for sharing the calculations! You've inspired me to go back into business!
Love this video and the fact that you gave measurements

Thank you so much for sharing.
I am disabled and struggling through this pandemic on a limited income, I am wanting to try and start a small business in Texas. I'm not selling any yet. Just getting my mixture together. I had a question ? When doing different fragrances (essential oil) how much do you add in? Is it by drops or oz? Thank you for sharing your journey and experience, If nothing else I would have learned how to make great gifts for holidays to family and friend. You are a GOD send, Thank you again . Hello!! We actually have an awesome blog about this - I personally go by Drops! Here’s the blog :) bettersheabutter.com/how-to-add-essential-oils-in-your-homemade-skin-care-products/

I'm so grateful for this video. I'm starting a kids shea butter business very soon. And I need all the inputs I could possibly get. And your video really came in handy. I just subscribed to your channel
Hi Patience, we're happy to hear that! You're most welcome, please reach out if we can be of any further assistance.
@@BetterSheaButter thank you so much. Now, my problem is knowing the percentage or right portion to use for mass production. For instance 50 to 100 containers. Also, I'd need a medium size containers to start with. I'd really appreciate your help here. Thank you again.
@@patienceyusuf8036 It depends on the volume of your containers, you can multiply the oz in each of your containers by the total amount of containers, and that's roughly the amount of product you will need to make
@@BetterSheaButter now I understand. Thank you very much🙏🤗💃
@@patienceyusuf8036 absolutely
Thank you for being so detailed☺️
Thank you very much for this amazing video. You've made it all so simple and easy for a beginner like me. I'm really appreciative of your efforts. Kudos to you!🙏🏾
First off love and appreciate the video but I was wondering if you could let me know what the measurements were for the oil
3:06
Hey love this video, was the measurements accurate for filling 40 jars or did you get more jars because of how the butter fluffs up and expanded as air gets in while whipping ?
thats something Im trying to figure out. If the mixture doubles up after whipping.
@@moonshinealchemy_325 yes tamp the jar down
Loved this video! Thank you for sharing 💕
question: Is there 4oz of finished product in a 4oz Jar? Is body butter sold by weight or by the size of the jar? Ive only been able to fit about 4oz of whipped body butter in an 8oz jar.
Hey so it will be about 2 oz in a 4 oz. When you whip it can double in size(depending on how long you whip). Sell by weight.
Thank you so much for explaining everything to us. I appreciate the body butter so pretty💞🙏🏽
Very exciting and inspiring. Thanks for this video
Thank you love the formula the measurement. I subscribed
Thanks for subbing!
Thank you so much! This was very helpful.
Thankyou somuch for the measurement.
Hi, I’m so glad you did this video! I’m planning to do my first batch of butter for the holidays for friends n family! Will you please share with us how you did your labels? Thank you!
The basics steps to create a label is to 1. chose your containers; 2. design a label that fits; 3. find a local to you or on-line labels or stickers printer. We used a local to Austin printing company for these labels, but have used this company successfully, they have different size label templates that you can choose from: www.onlinelabels.com/
Better Shea Butter hi, thank you very much for your reply n the information!
Very informative, thank you so much 🙏🏾
This is awesome!! And so so helpful. Thank you for sharing. YES! can you please share the math and calculation behind these wonderful products? Thank you :)
Thank you so much for this !!! 💕
You are amazing! Thank you for sharing all your tips!!
Hi, would you recommend glass or plastic jars? Hope to hear from you soon 🥺 this video has been helpful
Glass is better stores better
Great video very informative and professional
From where I can order this much quality Rosehip oil?
Great Job!!!
Any hints on how to formulate body butters?
this is body butter, from what i have read, a body butter is 1/4 shea 1/4 mango or coco which makes together half cup so 50% and the rest is carrier oils... that is a body butter... you can add arrowroot like 1 and half tsp to lower the oil levels down... so amazing, and with this recipe given to you, you just add 36 drops of essential oils...
Very nice butters, turned out really well
LOve this! Do you mind sharing what brand of vanilla oil you used for your products? Thanks in advance!
For this I used the Vanilla in Jojoba by NOW :)
Can you please link your website you get your jars, I loved your vidoe and I also subscribed
Thank you for subscribing!! We got these jars from www.containerandpackaging.com/
I LOVE YOUR BLENDER!! WHAT KIND OF PIECE IS YOUR FAVORITE TO USE (YOU KNOW THEY COME WITH DIFFERENT ACCESORIES) :), I HAVE FOUND IT BETTER FOR MY PRODUCT TO WHIP IT WHEN ITS COLD, BUT OF COURSE IT VARIES. THANKS FOR SHARING
NEW SUBSCRIBER WOULD LOVE TO MAKE THIS NICELY DONE ✅
How do you make the labels for your jars?? I love the video ❤️❤️
We have a designer who designs the labels for us using Adobe Illustrator, she wrote a blog post on our website with more information regarding the process here: bettersheabutter.com/tips-from-our-designer-how-to-design-a-label/
Thanks for sharing a detailed video! Is there a specific scale you recommend for doing large batches? I will be making at least 100 8oz jars. Thank You! 😊
We just use food scales, but if you want a more heavy duty scale then a postage scale would work too!
Yes it was very useful..God bless you ma
Thank you for sharing! Love the video!
I love it, thank you...very informative
Thanks for given us the experience and experiment 🧫 and also telling us we can copy 😂🥰🙏🏼
Hey! I love your measurements I’m still learning. I have a question I haven’t really understood how just yet. I’m making 10 8oz jars. What it the OZ of butters oils, arrow root, fragrance oil if I wanted 55% butter
30%oil. Please help. 💕
How do I work out the breakdown part of the each ingredient to know the amount that should be use ?
Hey, if i wanted to add aloe vera, can you please give an example of a preservative please?
@jadajames
Is Optiphen a safe preservative?
is a liquid, paraben-free and formaldehyde-free used in aqueous formulations, anhydrous formulations, and in emulsions. ... Therefore, we suggest adding to your formulation at around 120F just to be .
Hi I was looking to start making my own body butter this video was very informative and I was interested in how do you get the professional looking labels?
There's more info on label making in the second part of this video: ua-cam.com/video/2HOgdD0i9_g/v-deo.html
Awesome Thank you!
Hello I just found your channel & I subscribed. Looking forward to more videos.
Awesome video! I was wondering (maybe you answered this already) how do you figure out the percentages of your carrier oils and essential oils?
We have a really great article about this! bettersheabutter.com/how-to-add-essential-oils-in-your-homemade-skin-care-products/
ThankUuu!! This is a great video!
You are so awesoooooooooome for this!! Thanks so much!!
What shipping method do you use so they won’t melt when you send them out
What was the measurements for the oils??
As shown in the video on the sticky notes: 40oz avocado, 16oz olive, 6.4oz rosehip, 1.6oz other
This is the best video ever, it helped me so much. I didn’t skip one bit!
I really enjoyed learning from your videos. Can u tell me what is the expiration of the body butters, & also do they need to be refrigerated?? Thank You 😊
Hi Karen, i have been reading a lot -and no it does not to need to be refrigerator, only if it carries water or aloe vera, bc it can mold... the oils are said to last 6 months to a year.. shea butter there is no time limit, but with other ingredients mixed, that is why there is a shelf life... but again, anyone that knows better, please correct me or add on...
Great Video!
Can you use this as a face moisturizer ?
You sure can!
Ugh! I’m still now understanding the calculations. Is there a video for this yet? I already looked at the site and it’s still not clicking
Wonderful
Thank you sooo much my question is how did you come up with these measurements you said you had a key in you notebook… can you assist me on this as I’m trying to start my business over and make sure I’m making things accurately… thank you kindly
It’s just from starting with smaller recipes and perfecting them, then multiplying the amounts! Always start with one small batch to determine what you need for your larger recipe
Thank you for this clear and beautiful video. If I wanted to add Better Shea Butter beeswax to prevent melting since I live in a hot country, what percentage of beeswax should I add? 10% beeswax, 60% shea butter and 30% oil???
Thanks for the video !
Can this be used on the face ?
Absolutely!
Is it best to leave the butters unwhipped and whip only the amount needed to fill an order? Or do you whip it all at once and leave it then re-whipp for orders with different essential oils and colorant?
Hey Karen I think it's best to whip in small batches to give customers a fresh batch. I just started selling so I whip a very small amount. When more orders come then I will increase my batch. As far as different scents you can just whip up a large batch and separate into 2 bowls add fragrance and whip 1 at a time(if you have more than one stand mixer God Bless you lol). Dont forget to clean off the attachment if you only have 1. I almost mixed 2 scents that way lol 🤦🏾♀️
This is a great tutorial and inspiring video, thank you so much. I notice that your label on the jars says: SCAR ERASER. Is it good for acne scars on the face or is it solely and purposefully for stretch marks on the body? Thank you again. You are so generous with your recipe and for sharing the quantities.
You can use it on your face as well, a little goes a long way and we always recommend to be consistent in using natural products because they aren't a magic pill, but they do work great overtime :)
The formula contains Cocoa Butter, which is the recommended butter for scars and stretch marks. You can use it on your face as well, just not on any open wounds.
