    You are literally one of the most amazing people I have seen on this entire app. The fact that you share your knowledge without any intent of trying to milk every day people of their money is phenomenal. Truly, you are an inspiration to all who come to your channel and website. Amazing production and editing on your videos and very professional website curated for the common person wanting to dive into making their own products not only saving money but creating genuinely amazing products. I will definitely be buying your book in the coming days and I advise anyone who uses her recipes for helping your at home businesses to return the favor and buy it also and join her patron. Thank you honestly for allowing such knowledge to be shared for free.

    Yep, it worked! I am very happy. Thank you Marie, for making success possible with clear explanation. I made the winter formula as it is currently just over 10 degrees in the UK and we heat the house only in the evening. I cooled the mixture gently to room temperature before placing it inside the fridge, and I didn't have to put it into the freezer to get it to the correct consistency for whipping. I added a teaspoon of arrowroot and three drops of vitamin E oil.

    Thank you for your detailed explanation concerning temperatures (ambient).
    You had mentioned not to scale up until reaching the right ratio/recipe for our locations. But I have a question regarding scaling down. I've taken a few recipes ie. Lotion bars and body butter and cut the recipe in half as opposed to making a pound of body butter or 20 lotion bars etc. But each time I've done this with both recipes, they've turned out pretty bad. My question is what would cause a recipe that's been cut completely in half cause it to fail? Any input would be appreciated 🙂

      Isopropyl myristate (IPM) is definitely a bit of a magic trick for lightening up anhydrous formulations! And yeah, I've had to accept that lotions/emulsions are my preference 99% of the time :) My skin needs the water and just doesn't feel properly nourished with straight oil.

    I have been making it both medicinally for skin irritations on humans and animals and as everyday lotion also I've made lots of different scrubs, and never ever have I used a recipe and they always turn out perfect then again I've never tried to just whip shea butter on its own and even when I do it still turns out fluffy, as I have to whip the shea butter before I add the softer things and after I add a few software ingredients the volume goes up so much

      For skincare it doesn’t need to be sterile (I learned from Formula Botanica, leading online school for botanical formulations) but it needs to be disinfected. All tools, bowls, and workspace can be cleaned with warm soapy water and some rubbing alcohol if you so choose to keep things sanitary and using GMP- good manufacturing practice 😊hopes this helps!!

    I’ve tried whipping mine. Can you explain to me what I’m missing. I did all the steps. I whipped it, it looked great, then it hardened so fast… any tips?

    Marie, do you think that if we put pigments on it, it could become a make-up base? Many thanks for everything

      Eh... kind of? It wouldn't be great, though. I think you'd find it to be really oily and probably wouldn't get good adhesion or wear time.

    I love your videos. How can we make a body butter that doesn't melt? Is that even possible?

      You'll have to go emulsified-links + more details in the free partner blog post ❤️

    is squalane stable enough to heat up with the 17.5g"s of raw shea? I want to use three different oils to do this; one is just pure jojoba oil (10g), then pure squalane oil (11.2 g) and then (11.3) grams of the Good Molecules Bakuchiol oil that is made up of 79% rosehip oil, 20% chia seed oil and 1% Bakuchiol oil .....this is for my dry ass face that has cracked right open and is flaking and soooo dry, I think you have facial butter/cream videos, but Im looking to make a super thick facial butter for super duper dry skin, but I know that the squalene in particular is unstable and is not suppose to heat up, I think jojoba oil is hardy, but I also have NO CLUE about the Good Molecules Bakuchiol oil, so im guessing, I may have to do a cold whip. BTW I liked and subscribed you are incredible!!! Thank you sooo much!! My face is so desperate it hurts I got like contact dermatitis from a chemical sunscreen, idk something happened to my poor face, I also got a rash from trying to use a retinol, so I need some thick goodness for a night mask or hell even to use during the day cuz im so dry this winter. Also will this work if I only het up the shea butter and the jojoba and not the other two oils? I think the heat may ruin them?

    Very informative. Is it possible to make body butter in a cold (Canadian winter) temperature to take on a tropical vacation without it melting?

    • @HumblebeeAndMe
      @HumblebeeAndMe  Рік тому +1

      No :( It would be a pretty sad tropical vacation if the ambient temperature was only a degree or two warmer than your home in a Canadian winter, and that's what you'd need to keep it from changing consistency/melting :/
      I'm in Canada, too, and I need a different formulation for a Canadian summer vs. Canadian winter. If THAT needs different formulations, Canadian winter vs. Mexico DEFINITELY does. Alas.

    Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I live in subtropical region in Australia. I find the shea butter melts in your fingers before starting the recipe. I made the formulation as per your video but find it’s very “oily” when you scoop it out. Do you have a fix for this?

      Hi Janice! Sections 6.1 and 7 of the free partner blog post address this, but you honestly might be in emulsified body butter kinda temps. Watch this video to learn more: ua-cam.com/video/M4PDskyzXgk/v-deo.html. Happy making!
