I also love the hummus and avocado snack size containers because I put about 3 or 4 in the fridge and freeze the rest. When you live alone, you really need to know what you can eat before it spoils.
Frozen veggies are the quickest to cook and cheaper but still works for nutrients I get frozen cus sometimes I don’t get to fresh veggies in time and by the time I decide they already went bad
Costco has come a long way. Lots of Vegan options now. Mine has one whole large fridge area dedicated to tofu. So many organic options! 🙏✅
I’ve been waiting for Costco to come around with the plant-based items. It seems they have added many items. I’ll have to go check out the local store.
I loved this! I don't live near a Costco but this was so helpful! I would love to see a Trader Joe's version if you haven't made one yet!
Will do!!
I’d love that too ☺️
I came here right after watching Nimai's "VEGAN GROCERY HAUL TO GET LEAN AND HEALTHY" video from 3 years ago, pretty much everything there is from Trader Joe's!
I love Trader Joe’s!
I usually look at the ingredients for to check if it’s vegan but you’ve reminded me to also check for sugar, coconut oils, artificial ingredients. My mom would be greatly impressed with how careful you are with looking for healthier ingredients. 👍🏽
Thanks Nimai. I have a Costco membership but I didn't realize that some of those items were carried by the store. The next time I visit the store, I think I'll pay attention to the aisles that I typically skip over and then see what I discover.
Uncrustables were awesome back when I was doing Hurricane Disaster relief. Especially if I had access to a freezer! Keep them frozen and then toss them in my go bag and they were thawed out but still cold when lunchtime in the field rolled around. Anything that's cold when you are working in the heat and humidity after a storm was heaven. And kids liked them if a family was still at a property.
This is quite an entertaining Costco trip! Your expression, in the beginning, is priceless! Many vegan options for sure and you gotta have extra storage to keep the haul 🤣🌱💪
So true!
I would love to shop at Costco with Nimai 😄
Great video. I'm curious about those enchiladas. I'll have to check my local costco for those. I like those alpha chicken patties. The inside texture is similar to morning star which I like.
The Grapefruit cups are pretty delicious, the mushrooms and Brussels sprouts in the refrigerated produce section are awesome, huge bags of jasmine rice, and the chipotle bitching sauce is like my go-to condiment and rocks (made from almonds). I love my monthly Costco runs.
I’m not vegan, but I just love the organic fruits and vegetables. I just can’t eat a bunch of nonorganic broccoli before it starts to go bad, but I can buy pounds of organic broccoli in 4 separate freezer bags for less, and it lasts indefinitely. Also love the organic blueberries.
Best parts have been the variety of great deals, new items to check out almost every time I go, and tons of vegan and organic products! Their products also go on sale sometimes so the 36oz tub of tahini rich hummus that usually costs $5.99 will for a month or so only cost $3.99. $3.99 is what the regular grocery charges for 8oz. And the Costco brand hummus tastes better because they add more of the costly tahini.
Keep the videos coming, Nimai!
Love this! I'm planning to hit up Costco tomorrow for my vegan grocery haul!
Stoked on your new food content!
You're so funny and thanks for your videos, love them🥰
Love this type of video !! Would love to see more doing other types of stores .. TJoes, Whole Foods, Sprouts , etc
Love ur new content !! 💪🏼
Awesome video boss! Great to see stores like Costco diversifying their plant based options!
Cool video Nimai, glad you're back on youtube.
11:55 the vegan soup cans make a solid base for a larger pot of soup. Just add some beans, veg, and a little pasta and voila, a full stomach. There's enough oil and sodium in those cans to stretch out over multiple servings.
This is so awesome, thank you! I really appreciate this! I’m trying to do more plant based meals and I wish that I had a Costco near me because this would be so awesome to go to for grocery shopping. As for the long list of ingredients, it’s probably long because the list includes all of the ingredients in the bread, peanut butter, and the jelly. Like broth, what’s *in* the broth. It’s good for allergens even if it’s something you wouldn’t consider something that someone could be allergic to like cinnamon, someone can be.
Would love to see more videos like this please!
Super helpful indeed!!
Good stuff bro! I didn’t know Costco had that many options. Once I run out of my orgain protein I’m going to give your brand a shot. I’m looking forward to it.
I live in England now I wish our local Costco had all these vegan selections. Great review, I enjoyed your video, thanks!
I just saw this great video in my feed although it was posted 8 months ago! Thank you for posting, very helpful!👍
Great video. Glad CostCo is getting more options, two years ago they didn't even stock tofu.
I really enjoyed this!
Dude! The blueberry BelVita bars are insane. I can’t have them in my house. I will eat that whole box in like 3 days. 😅
I like the toasted coconut ones.
love the vids so far!! Keep it up!
Glad you like them!
I’m really into fitness I workout all the time and I’m also Vegan I love it because I’m 39 and I’m able to out do people in there 20’s! I have a video with me doing bench press of 270 for 15 reps. People usually are amazed because they don’t think a Vegan can do that. I will be watching all of your videos. Everything your saying is on point! Love it!
Damn 270 for 15 is impressive! Keep breaking those stereotypes! I appreciate your support 🙌🏼🌱💪🏼
@@NimaiDelgado yes I hope you don’t mind here’s a link to my video so you can see for yourself ua-cam.com/video/cvhzvp_vpjI/v-deo.html
I shop at Costco and love it. I even live alone and the bulk doesn’t scare me hahahaha I get like 3 large things of veg a week, frozen fruit in bulk, tofu, rice, oats, quinoa. I save so much money!!! And really only have to stock up on produce weekly! It’s great! Also the tire center is great, free rotations, great prices on gas too. Haha
The gas is also quality. I had an old gas filter in my car, and if I bought cheap gas anywhere else, the red warning light went on, but if I bought gas at Costco, within one tank the warning light would go off. My mechanic said to either buy the expensive stuff, or shop at Costco.
Yessssss! I didn’t know you had a UA-cam. Lots of vegan love from Alaska ❤.
I'm so glad your back, I'll be watching all your video liking and commenting every single one and purchasing your product, keep it up my friend and God bless you and stay safe and happy much love...
Great Video, helps knowing what to look for. I look at all contents especially the oil content, most Vegan alternatives contain Palm and Canola oil which I stay clear from.
I loved this !! I never know what to get at Costco that’s vegan friendly!
my costco has big bags of hemp seeds and chia seeds so i always get those there. also cashew and canned diced tomatoes (for cooking soups/curries) and veggie bouillon
hell yeah..I mess with this videos man..Really gives me some ideas on what to eat..Also love the commentary. Looking forward to the news vids!
I love the spring rolls especially since they finally made the sauce vegan or vegan friendly. If you buy a lot of things from Costco regularly then the membership fee is definitely worth it. Thank you.
Stumbled across your channel, as I'm vegan long time, so you came up in recommended videos. Great informative video, I don't live close enough to a Costco since moving eastern Canada , from southern Canada a couple of years ago., now. But worth travelling the 4 hours drive, all great vegan goods lol. Buying in bulk, is definitely a plus. Plus good Costco has more organic, vegan options now. I'd try to bypass literally lol. The Kirkland meat area boo. Great video. Thanks for sharing. New subscriber now. Not bad on the eyes either, pretty much my dream man. Vegan, Into health, organic too. Very nice. xo
Absolutely amazing info bro! Need more of these quick to go vegan meal ideas. Thank you brother
I buy big bags of hemp seeds that are amazing!! I put them on everything. Sandwiches, salads, smoothies. Great source of protein. Pretty inexpensive at Costco. 💚
Great suggestion. I throw them into salad dressings as well. Makes the dressing nice and creamy.
That Kirkland peanut butter is the best peanut butter we've ever had. The frozen edamame is great to have on hand too.
Absolutely amazing 🎉
I get my Tempeh from Target. It is consistently the best price. 10 at a time with their Drive Up service is all they allow. Would love a Target shopping version.
Nuttzo is great! definitely try it.
I'm late watching but this was very helpful. Lots of good vegan options at Costco....more than I thought!
I am really surprised! I went to Costco last year and they only had the vegan chicken patty. What you showed in this video, are so many more plant-based items! I may consider a trip back to Costco again after watching this video.
Needed this!!!
Hi nimai 😍 this is awesome ! I’m getting my tofurkey there for thanksgiving! I’m the only one vegan 🌱 so is always kind of hard , this give me options of food lol , sometimes they have it but it hunk they are getting better with plant base options 🙌 happy holidays 🥳
Happy holidays!
Alot more vegan choices than what I expected. Thank you for sharing this useful content...
Love this! I always get edamame at Costco!
Thanks for the help
Great vid. Reminds me of my usual trips there👌
Some other healthy staples I get from Costco (all organic) to keep your eyes out for are: hemp seeds, sprouted pumpkin seeds, the big tub of humus, dates, figs, heads of romaine lettuce, salsa, raw cashews, and packs of canned beans to name a few🌱✌
Nice list! I'd like to add big bags of power greens from Earthbound Farms.
My husband and I were so excited to try the Nutzo nut butter but it was definitely rough on our digestion 🥴 we prefer the Costco almond butter 😋 thanks for the video!
Same. Wanted to really like it, but it wasn’t my cup of tea.
It’s crazy of how many vegan food options you guys have! I’m from Brazil and we don’t have as many chip options
This was soo informative I never went in Costco because I didn’t think they would have health vegan options
I can't wait for our Costco to open. Either this year later or next year
This was a ton of fun
I'm a month into eating fully plant-based and very happy with how I feel. One of the factors that helped me choose it right now is not wanting to contribute to the degradation of the ecosystem with animal protein production on land and not wanting to take food sources from marine animals. But look at how 90% of what you were up for buying was in non-compostable plastic bags that will degrade into the environment. As plant-based eating becomes a bigger profit center for manufacturers, how 'bout we use that consumer buying power to advocate for recyclable and/or compostable packaging?
I love that helping the environment is part of your decision making. I am with you on that. It’s so darn disappointing when food is so heavily packaged. Hubby was telling me about a grocery store in the UK that won’t carry a food item unless it’s in environmentally friendly packaging. So it can be done.
By the way, Congratulations!!!
Great video. I have been vegan for 5 years. I have a Costco card, yet now i will look carefully for those products. Good job on informing. Keep the videos coming. I purchased the teriyaki sauce from last video. I will make some air fried tofu soon. Thanks.
Awesome! Thank you!
While protein might be very important, it is very important to watch the salt content in prepared processed foods.
Great video! I’d love to see more quick n easy meal ideas..breakfast/lunch/dinner 🙏🏻 high protein preferably 😉
Noted!
My Costco doesn't have that many vegan protein options, but luckily, I've got a co-op in town with extra firm locally made organic tofu for dirt cheap. Counting my blessings for that.
😂 the ace Ventura reference!
I need to take my friend up on his offer to let me borrow his card. I live alone so it feels a bit ridiculous, but some of the shelf stable stuff or tofu or frozen stuff I could use!
I’ve had a Costco membership from the day they opened their first store in Seattle. It was great while the kids were little, but I thought as the kids moved out, I wouldn’t shop there as much. Wrong! If you have the more expensive executive membership, you get money back so I take my son and daughter in law shopping with me and my money back pays for the membership and gives me back over $20 in cash. They also have amazing deals on clothes. Really quality brands at less than half the price listed on the brand name’s website.
Just got first our Costco in New Zealand but not in my city.
One day!
Edits were on point
Love Costco’s vegan options! And love me some uncrustables 😍
Crazy snack combination you wouldn't expect but Is fire. Hummus and chips
I wanna see more VLOGS (travel vlogs are THE BEST tho)!
I'm at Costco 2x/week. Might try some of these products
This was amazing! Thank you Nimai for doing this! Good to know some of the items I was buying was a good choice that you would chose (:
Also the organic protein shakes you didn’t want to comment on, I’m curious what you would say about them?
He made his own vegan protein brand called Vedge that has clean ingredients and tastes good! I’m assuming it’s because he didn’t like most other vegan protein powders (like the brand in the video) so decided to make a better product
I just bought that humus I like it
Wish our Costco in Australia had half of these.
Thanks for the video Nimai. Near my home i find organic seitan, do you use it? Do you advice it for everyday use?
Did you buy anything? I’m glad you’re back, UA-cam needed to show up Jesse James west and all those guys
The crispy chicken Pattie’s were the most interesting new item to me.
Nice....I guess I need to go to my local Costco and spend a little time there to see what they have.
Costco is the OG plug
Thank you for this info👍❤
Any time!
We wanted to see your cart as you seemed to put a lot of the items you reviewed back on the shelf.
Enjoyed the video. Just got a Costco membership so I will definitely look to save some money on my staples and find some new things to try 😊One thing, Non gmo isn’t really lesser quality. It refers to the fact that the plants do not originate from genetically modified ingredients which reduce biodiversity, allow many times a “normal” amount of pesticide to be used and are linked to health issues including leaky gut. The companies that sell gmo seed actively sue farmers whose fields are contaminated with gmo by the wind, rain, etc. organic refers to the lack of pesticides used. They are both important. Sorry for the novel but non-gmo is no small accomplishment.
Thank you Sir ♥️
What Costco are you at? The ones in Va, and Md do not have a lot of the products
Bulking up with vegan food has never been so easy or delicious. It's great to see so many options now, especially when going through a shred fat loss phase.
Your video popped up on my feed and I am so glad it did! My Costco has some of these items but not all. I love your flannel jacket. Also, on a sidenote, at 6:53 you say that the Miyoko's butter is a great alternative to "real" butter. The dairy industry has brainwashed us all that dairy products are the "real" ones. We, as vegans, need to change that idealoogy by categorizing things as dairy butter, not real butter. (Please don't take this as a criticisim, but instead as a helpful suggestion.) I am now a subscriber to your channel!
True
Everytime i'm in the fresh produce in CostCo it becomes lord of the flies, glad you had an authentic experience, haha
hahah it was madness in there.
I'm vegan and gluten free. Makes shopping challenging but Costco has a lot of great options. I like the Konjac noodles, but they are often out of stock.
What about the ingredient list in all the packaged processed food you choose. And what was the sugar content in the crustables?
Lol that shop is HUGE omg 😮😮😮
Thanks for doing this video.. omg i had no idea i could save that much money especially on beyond burgers. Plus i had no idea costco had so much vegan options. Thanks for doing this video!!
Curious how they get so many organic things. They are the only place where i've seen organic dr praeger's burgers. they also have lots of organic nuts and dried fruits. Always get my dates, figs, and raisins there.
i love your content
Thank you!
i love your video, very informative.. i am subscribing - however you asked so 1)chicken drippings is chicken fat.. 2) the vegetable melange (mix) is pronounced mel-ange there is no a at the end (er, ez, or e with the accentover the top will give the a sound if at the end of a word.
I shop at Costco regularly and appreciate the vegan options they offer. Just be careful because you can easily spend a lot of money adding up all those deals.
I had the same reaction to the chicken drippings 😂
I wish i had a supermarket like that where i live
Mélange (may LANZH) just means mixture in French.... so mixed vegetables in that bag!
I love that you're vegan!
Good video!! Sooooo what did you all buy ? Love to see more of your daily meals. Also have you ever done a smoothie shred where you just do protein smoothies for 2 weeks ?
decided not to buy anything this trip because the lines were crazy long! And no, I enjoy solid food too much to do a smoothie or juice shred.
