Now that you've gotten the full build experience with the red pieces in place, are you going to swap them out for grey pieces for greater immersion with the set?
Good set but it's definitely flimsy. I got this set for my 8th birthday back in 2006 and it was my first big set. Literally just a couple days after finishing it one of the floor plates broke off and while trying to fix it the whole thing just collapsed on me. I never managed to put it back together and now most of the pieces have been lost to my parts bins or been cannibalized for other builds. I unfortunately missed out on the 2014 version so to this day I'm missing a classic original trilogy Star Destroyer in my collection. Thinking I might pick up the UCS one this holiday before it retires.
Nice quick review. Always fun to see the inside of certain kits when one is unsure whether or not one should get the kit. Thanks for the review. P.S. I sent a private message to you in discord. I hope to hear form you soon.
i love this experimental era of lego! from the awkward smooth and studdy surfaces to the chunky builds!
It’s certainly really interesting comparing this to modern builds - some things are exactly the same and others are sooo different
Everytime I see the room I get jealous
