2:41 I can see flying an a-wing and about to crash into the bridge of a Star destroyer and suddenly see that guys face just standing there and he’ll be saying “*chuckles* I’m in danger”
Love this set, the crown jewel of my LEGO SW collection for sure. I actually built it by salvaging the parts that were mixed in to the original box I received from a friend with a ton of other pieces, and then ordering the several missing ones I needed to complete it. Super fun project and makes me like the set even more
Mike Games the new one does not have that much play compare to this one the new just have a weapon rack and a hologram and a Death Star display,a bridge area that is it
5:30 This set is actually based on The Devastator from A New Hope which is Darth Vader's Imperial I-Class Star Destroyer. Tarkin's Star Destroyer was named Executrix Yes I know I'm 4 years late
There used to be a certain way to make this helmet crane work. Lol My mom called lego the night i got it because the crane for his helmet didnt work. But i remember there was a certain way to make it work every time. Either way probably my favorite set of my childhood.
I had this too, wasn’t my first Lego Star Wars set but I remember it was in my room and my brother threw his yo yo at it, and well, pieces went missing and I threw it into the Lego bin for spare parts. I cri evry tiem.
This is the one lego set in my collection that some how has never fallen apart, been smashed, or made it's way into spare parts bin. Surprising due to the fact it hung from my ceiling most of my childhood. I recently took it apart to wash off 13 years of dust build up 🤢🤮
I just rediscovered this set in my parents basements yesterday and decided to put it in my flat, it is the biggest set I ever had and it looks so cool, but some parts got lost like the flick lasers or one floor piece (which I replaced with a different grey type, but this holds so many memories! 🤘 Great video!
I remember my dad helping me build this when I was younger (even my uncle helped since he was visiting at the time). Really fun kit, but a nightmare to properly display
There's some nice ideas here, its a shame they didn't employ them in the subsequent Star Destroyer design. Don't even get me started on the wasted UCS interior opportunity.
AS the first Star destroyer i ever had. This is my favourite i have this one and the first Order one. And i favor this one, this set is VERY fragile but i remember my brother got it for me and i used it in rough play and played with it for one year without no damage. I’d say this is the best Star destroyer.
I got one Christmas 2006 and wrecked it two days later. Stupid me forgot about the locking switch and the whole top collapsed. I need to buy pieces to rebuild the interior and floor someday. Best advice for this set is to glue the floor in place, it falls out really easily.
You could mod it and get rid of the pod room and turn it into a room for Vader, and make the other room have like 3 rooms, a cafeteria, Barack’s, and meeting room
Thinking of buying this set for £120 the build is complete but it is missing the imperial officer figures. I think it’s a good deal as the set is my favourite star destroyer. ( I only own the sequel one) What do you guys think!?! (I can make an offer tell me what’s reasonable lol)
The first few lego star wars sets i got where the 2011 tie fighter and x-wing, also the sith infiltrator from 2010, the oldest lego star wars set i have is the 2009 hoth rebel battlepack
Recently my sister’s boyfriend gave me this set because he had no interest in building it so he gave it to me and the funny thing is that a few years ago he found it in an ally in near the garbage (sadly it didn’t come with mini figures)and there were some missing pieces.
I always carry mine from the engine, with my other hand resting under the ship. I have to hold it so gently though because it's so easy to break. I'm usually too scared to pick it up, hence why half of the ship is now yellow instead of grey. It's on a shelf where I have to stretch just to reach it, so I can't really wipe dust from there, especially the side that's against the wall (the yellow side).
Who’s best? Old one or the new one? I think the old ones way better. The old one has a room at the bridge. And a escape pod that you can use for example if the ships going to crash/ Explode. And for the RD-D2 and 3CPO’s escape in episode 4
1:30 its true that its not sturdy because, I played with it last time and I was holding the handle and then WOOP the handle broke off and it sent he star destroyer to the ground and BAM it shattered in a million pieces and I yelled out FUUUUCCCCCKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and I put all the pieces in a ziploc . THE END XD
I like it because the bridge is in the right place unlike the new one but I'm not a fan of the mini figs that much, I might get it and change it a little so it's more accurate
The bridge is “wow” because it has not been seen in any other star destroyer. I don’t know how you don’t think that’s “wow” it’s the only bridge in all the star destroyers.
I remember this set from when I was a kid, I started building it, but eventually got sidetracked with other shit I could make with the parts, and I never actually finished building it.
this may be better in playability or action features but the newer one is better in look and better detailing on the newer one and the newer one is better
I ended up throwing mine away when my cat knocked it off coffee table and it shattered. The thing was a pain in the ass to build had to use glue even that didn't work. Was a garbage over priced set.
Whoever decided to give the imperial officer a smiley face deserves a raise
My legs hurt *YES*

It's funny how the escape pod is as big as the bridge
That’s a good point
The whole crew need to escape dont you think?

I feel nostalgic now...I remember getting this for Christmas as a kid.
I had this ship... until it fell off of my shelf and shattered like my dreams.
Ah well, always better than a super star destroyer falling off and you having to scream NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Winston From Overwatch 😂shattered like my dreams. I'm freakin dying laughing
Winston From Overwatch I had it but it naturally slowly broke down
TBGtheman someone dropped my death star
Younger sister dropped mine when I was 9, only recently rebuilt it.
I had this back in the day... never realised those lightsabers on the sides were fireable missiles! Mind blown
wait. I think I knew that but it still even to this day doesn't look fileable lol
@@toontownlegomaster OMG I had this set as a kid and even I was like "I know those fire but how the f*** is that possible?"

I think the 2006 set is way better it may be fragile but has plenty more room and more play features.
this one looks crap
water dog wrong
Sir Pugsious The Third I very much agree
Mike Games the new one does not have that much play compare to this one the new just have a weapon rack and a hologram and a Death Star display,a bridge area that is it
looks over play features
5:30 This set is actually based on The Devastator from A New Hope which is Darth Vader's Imperial I-Class Star Destroyer. Tarkin's Star Destroyer was named Executrix
Yes I know I'm 4 years late
You can only See tarkins Star Destroyer in Star Wars Rebels.
I preefer the new one because it is more stable, but the old one is very cool to.
i like older sets because I like the simple designs and i feel like they just look better in general
There used to be a certain way to make this helmet crane work. Lol My mom called lego the night i got it because the crane for his helmet didnt work. But i remember there was a certain way to make it work every time. Either way probably my favorite set of my childhood.
I like that they added the ventral docking bay so you can put a mini tantive IV underneath it.
Always thought it was odd this set comes with an escape pod rather than a Tantive IV
I had this too, wasn’t my first Lego Star Wars set but I remember it was in my room and my brother threw his yo yo at it, and well, pieces went missing and I threw it into the Lego bin for spare parts. I cri evry tiem.
Very nice set, I have the new one, I like it better because it looks more realistic, but this is just amazing.
I have the newer one and I think it is better
I'm planning on buying this one simply because the inside looks more ''playable''

Wow!! You’ve had that set for ten years and it’s still in great condition that’s impressive!!

0:22 woow, is that the Outrider I see?!
3:48 I loled when it fell, quite fitting for the droid, lol
I like the 2006 destroy more than the 2014 destroy
Mike Games I agree
it has an acuall cockpit. so much better
Joe Bow 1 thanks
in my opinion 2014 one is better. But whatever everyone has their own opinions.
More space and you could modify the bridge so that u don’t have a weird space in the front
Brings back soo many memories. I will start building legos again now.
The outrider alternate build is totally wicked
Found this for $35 at a thrift shop in box! Worth $320 on eBay!
OpTic KTG lucky
Yooo do you mean it was brand new?
WTF, I gotta go to thrift shops more often.
Your SSSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Lucky
It's not worth that much at least in my opinion. Set sucked.
Best lego star destroyer ever released
I love how you say brand new, old...
You said at the beginning of the video "brand new old"
The condition was new but it's not a recently released set
The most gorgeous Lego set ever 😄
Man i wish that is how the ventator opened

this one: best play features
newer imperial star destroyer: has best looking exterior
first order star destroyer: best interior
I like the bridge feature where you can go in it properly, would be great if they still had that
Man...This was my very first lego set ever
You could mod it and get rid of the pod room and turn it into a room for Vader, and make the other room have like 3 rooms, a cafeteria, Barack’s, and meeting room
I like how he says “Dar Vader”
It have had this set since it came out and have never built it...

2012 x wing and tie fighter actually
Nice! I had this set but my family moved and the movers just threw it in a box destroying it and losing many pieces.
Recently my sister’s boyfriend gave me this set because he had no interest in building it so he gave it to me and the funny thing is that a few years ago he found it in an ally in near the garbage (sadly it didn’t come with mini figures)and there were some missing pieces.
Back when the command bridge was located in the command bridge and not in the hangar...
It looks cool but how could it be better than the 2014 in any aspect?
I dont understand why the escape pod are white under the stickers when in the movie its clearly grey.
I always carry mine from the engine, with my other hand resting under the ship. I have to hold it so gently though because it's so easy to break. I'm usually too scared to pick it up, hence why half of the ship is now yellow instead of grey. I like the older version better even though the new one has more detail
I have this set, but it is in a million pieces. I might rebuild this set since I do still have the instructions and box
I miss the older sets. The newer ones have less play features
Who’s best? Old one or the new one? I think the old ones way better.
The old one has a room at the bridge. And a escape pod that you can use for example if the ships going to crash/
Explode. And for the RD-D2 and 3CPO’s escape in episode 4
so much better than the newer one
Might put the old figures in the new Destroyer
This set needs a remake

I like it because the bridge is in the right place unlike the new one but I'm not a fan of the mini figs that much, I might get it and change it a little so it's more accurate
It would be extremely epic if it had a downsized tantive iv.
What's with the marker under all your figs? Just wondering?
The Lego Detective The black marker was there so he new what figs he owned when he played with his friends.
Granted it being bigger is better the new one is more detailed
Joeseph Hunnicutt and sturdier. Plus it's more accurate.
Yep
thijmen hermelink I think it is good but they limited the turbo laser canons unlike the new one but still I like this one also
this one doesn't even look like a proper star destroyer
I also have this set I modified the bridge to make it better way more room and more playable
The bridge is “wow” because it has not been seen in any other star destroyer. I don’t know how you don’t think that’s “wow” it’s the only bridge in all the star destroyers.
This set looks okay but I still think the new ones better, its also easy to modify.
wow,this set came out the same year I was born ;-;
wow, I was already born and built this set from back in the day, it was my childhood! Now I feel old, thanks.
I have this set but its in peices in a container needing to be rebuilt, still have the manual
Like the escape pod new one is boring
BRAND NEW?!?!?!
I remember this set from when I was a kid, I started building it, but eventually got sidetracked with other shit I could make with the parts, and I never actually finished building it.
This is huge compared to the first order star destroyer
I like the new one
Why did they put only 4 laser turrets on this model
Has anyone noticed that with the whole set and Lego figures dearth Vader has Kylo ren's light saber blade
One side of the escape pod, you got the sticker reversed. Just saying.
I like this more because it has a bridge interior than the 2014 one
This is better than the new one
Should I make a video like this one with my star destroyer?
Why do a lot of your figs have sharpie on their side body or side legs?
Im Lage but you do this if you play with friends to tell which one are yours
Can u please do the lego resurgent class star destroyer
this may be better in playability or action features but the newer one is better in look and better detailing on the newer one and the newer one is better
