That sensor array on the ISD from episode IV is probably a mult-mode sensor for pursuit/targeting the tractor beams or can be an area sensor working with the shield generator/sensor arrays, acting as an AWACs for long range threat analysis. At least that's some of the lingo that I've learned from info about Navy ships.
If you take the scale of the Lego UCS Star Destroyer and see it as the real Star Destroyer, you basically built an Allegeance Class Batllecruiser. Which is a bigger and more heavily armed version of the normal Star destroyer. With the play model being an interdictor cruiser. But overall great work 👌
the UCS is a Imperial 1 as the Devastator was Vadar's flagship. Also the Allegiance class Star Destroyer had a much larger bridge and living area as well as the Fusion reactor dome on the underside being much more central to the ship as opposed to the IMPERIAL 1 and 2 Class
Yes, the quad guns on the sides are a thing. The different main turret on each side of Devastator is an Ion Cannon. The bit that sticks up from the main hull is called the "super-structure". Walmart is a super-center. :P
@@mjfeldy it really would! But I think it would be so awesome to see all the tie fighters in the hangars and to see the bridge at its full size with all of the pieces! Like I said, it’s a dream haha
I owned the 2007 star destroyer and the interior (in my opinion) is way better than the 2014 one because it had Darth Vader’s helmet pod thing. I’m pretty sure it was slightly larger too. Pretty sure there was space for 2-3 mini figs in the bridge as well
I have the 2014 version on display, I built a black stand for it that's reminiscent of the large UCS one. I can't afford the UCS Star Destroyer, so the 2014 is a very nice stand in
I would LOVE to get the latest UCS Imperial Star Destroyer. But the price isn't the problem for me, it's the size. Where would I ever display that behemoth? It doesn't fit on any shelves or cabinets, and I think it's a bit too much for the dining table.
Yeah…. A lot of those larger UCS sets are a real challenge to display. I have the UCS gunship as well and I don’t even know where to put it because the wingspan is so large lol
@@mjfeldy Do you think it's possible to hang it flat to the wall vertically with the nose pointing upwards? If Duckbricks can hang the UCS falcon anything is possible right!?
Just getting into lego star wars and I never thought I'd hear "illegal building technique," haha. I assume that means just sticking parts together that don't attach properly?
So other thought, have you considered converting your UCS star destroyer to a Victory star destroyer to serve as an “escort” for your bigger star destroyer.
@@mjfeldy No problem, theoretically you could even convert a playscale one into a Vindicator or Immobilizer 418 too. Get the full classic Imperial Dorito lineup!
Yeah I rebuilt it like 8 times to get the angles and proportions right. It used to be smaller than it is now, but I rebuilt it and added 4 studs to each side to make it bigger which helped, but I’m not rebuilding that thing again lol. Honestly the bridge doesn’t look small when you see it in person
I have the play scale version and notice that the handle is very sturdy but the opening of it isn’t that sturdy and will easily fall apart when opening
Yeah there’s also another play scale star destroyer that came out in 2007 that I don’t have either. This is just a comparison Of all the star destroyers I have in my collection
I have the First Order Star destroyer, and its frame looks very similar to the frame on the playscale imperial Star Destroyer edit: I mean I wasted my money on a non-canon capital ship.
your moc looks dope. you could also hide the gap entirely by making it wider and putting blocks in there, like they did on the Onecase one
Thanks! Yeah that’s a good idea. Might have to try to mod it like that!
No, there is always a gap, always
Most beautiful star destroyer moc I’ve ever seen! Your positive attitude also makes this video very fun to watch!
I wish they included an option to switch the turrets for the ISD-2’s octuple barbette mounts.
Yeah that would have been awesome!
You should put flex tubes/bars and axles in the middle to fix the gap
In comparison the ups is cute, what a giant master piece you created !

If you add light kit to your model, it would be the best lego star destroyer
I’ve never used a lighting kit before, but I might try it out! Thanks for the suggestion!
Your ISD does give the impression of "The Full Might of the Empire"!

That is an indubitably exquisite moc my good sir

shame its really really fragile and the outside doesnt look as good
I thought it's 2006, but yeah it's a awsome set I modified interior to have meeting, beds, eating, armoury, and jail
It looks amazing
Thanks man!
Very nice but why have thrusters on the tan rice IV if not on the destroyer
I love brick days, i live in Omaha but i didnt get to go this year due to work.
Aye nice man!! I didn’t go this year either because I was in college
I can't believe how much it dwarfs the UCS star destroyer
Where did you bought the Lego imperial ship
Hi from Italy. Do you think lego or Mold King is better? I don't know which one to choose to buy. Tks
Lego. It's more stable.
For what you get mould king.
Can I use two ice star destroyer’s to build a custom one

Nah sorry man unfortunately I didn’t make any instructions for it
Great video, would you be willing to share instructions for your Tantive IV?
They all look cool
Flip the side tabs up on the UCS sensor dish 🙂
Is the custom one available for sale anywhere?
No, it’s my own moc that I made myself. I haven’t really thought about making instructions for it or anything….

I would if I could buy the little one. Fir me is on point size wise! Thanks
I thought the small one was 8099 from the thumbnail 😮 absolutely insane!
Thanks so much!
How much have you spend for the moc
Urs looks way better but its nice having a fleet. Make the next one minifig scale.😂😂🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤤🤤🤤
a 1:38 scale star destroy would be 55 meters long.

wow, how can I get your moc or rebuild your moc?
If I had the time I would definitely make instructions…. A project for another time!
The proportions on your moc are a bit wonky but it looks so good, it looks so much like the models they used for the movies

The ball turrets are accurate to the real Super Star Destroyer
The big lego starwars sets must have interior so it looks like it’s in battle

Honesty lego could just release a bent plate piece to put on top of the gap LOL 😂 IT COULD ALSO STRENGTHEN THE MODEL.
The bridge if your moc does still look a little bit too small
Please please please post the manual for building the MOC ID pay $100 or more just for the instructions and what pieces I need to buy
ilegal building technique? who the hell is in charge of the lego police?

UCS: imperial 1 or 2
Custom: allegiance class star destroyer
Isnt the moc the custom
And the custom is imperial 2
And none of these are victory classes they are all imperial 1s or 2s
