As someone that only watches Runescape content and doesn't really play the game the real fun in these videos is that they don't skip the story bits in the quests. Other content creators usually just tell you they're gonna do a quest, show the stuff they need to fetch and then poof it's completed (because they assume the viewers play the game and don't care to see or read the cutscenes again). This is a nice change of pace.
Really loving this series. Super chill, and it oddly feels like it's closer to being "Let's Play" of OSRS on UA-cam rather than the somewhat oversaturated "Challenge Run" series we have come to expect.
I've been doing quests with guides and been wondering how would people even figure them out. I always read the dialogue, but I'm terrible at picking up environmental cues. It's lovely to see someone attempt to figure these out!
It's about mindset I reckon, if you have the guide you aren't thinking abstractly because you know you have the guide to fall back on. When you start to play in this way, you are forced to use your knowledge of the game to decipher the dialogue and those environmental cues i reckon.
@@BetrayalEditing well said, I've noticed that happen to me after trying new quests guideless! I still miss a lot of environmentals but I prefer to quest this way when I'm not in a hurry.
Amazing series! Piqued my interest when I caught a short of your legends quest blind attempt and was hooked. Something about a blind playthrough that hits close to home, like reminiscing the good old days when we were all just kids figuring out a way around a new adventure rather then speedrunning early stages of the game into the same raids over and over. Keep up the good work!
im currently binge watching all the episodes that are out right now, and im not lying wen i say this but this is one of the most under-rated osrs series i've seen!
I'm super late to the party but really loving these! I'm 100% holding spacebar during all of the quests. If you ever run out of video ideas making some quest lore videos for an entire quest line kind of like you did with "previously in the Elf questline" would be awesome!
I can fully appreciate that, another very cool item. I think one of my favourite dragon items was the dragon mace for some reason lol, seemed really rare but super powerful as a kid
@AlienFoodage haha the abyssal whip was always my favorite weapon I did eventually get one but not until the evolution of combat. Been binging your videos they're great!
It's been very amusing to see your partial recollection with these quests. "Oh yeah, i remember i needed uh.."X"." while totally forgetting "Y" Also...good luck with Underground pass. You are going to have sooo much "FUN"(TM) there. Not going to say why. As for any tips for after the episode? there is a higher level version of Ava's device for those with the range level. Which you now have.
Came back about two years ago and have been enjoying it since. The important thing is to play the way you actually enjoy and occasionally slow down. Def use RuneLite though it's fantastic.
I have watched a fair few episodes and for me the one thing thats difficult is understanding when you are reading the dialog with someone. You read it so quick that sometimes its just a sound rather than actual words. Ive noticed that from the start but thats the only thing I gotta say for now.
Do you fully explore (new) regions you get to: like interacting with every npc or object you find? Things like monster drops would take ages to get a solid understanding of the drop table. How fast are you satisfied with a training method, and when do you keep experimenting for different ones?
Not particularly, I tend to leave the super tedious exploration if there’s a quest step nearby. Yeah monster drops is probably the hardest thing. I sort of have to guess, kill something a lot and then decide if it exists on the drop table or I just got unlucky 😂
im hyperfocused on the loud clicking sound when u rotate your camera. What is that? please help, my body doesn't feel normal anymore, never hungry, sleepless nights. Free me from this nightmare. What. is. that. sound?
@AlienFoodage neither did I until like a week ago, I've been saying it the way you do for 15 years 😅 Ardougne is also pronounced 'Arr-doyne' which 10 year old me would never have thought
One downside of doing this nowadays is that it's not an authentic OG-oldschool experience. The Runescape website had a decent guide with a lot of information that didn't extend to step-by-step quest guides. Nonetheless, I'm really enjoying this series after finding your YT shorts.

@@BetrayalEditingcrazy how long it took me to do quests when I was a kid. Monkey madness was insanity
powerful chansey cameo

What a legend, ive been waiting so long for someone to do a series like this.

Haha thanks! Yeah I’m not looking forward to it 😅
Can't wait for the next episode! It's going to be great!
Thank you!
Played OSRS as a child. Never really accomplished anything, now you have me wanting to try it out myself as an adult! awesome videos.

I missed where you got the mithril axe. That was the hardest part for my iron. I was waiting for that to be the next road block lol
Haha I made it using smithing. My afk mining grinds helped out a lot there
Hey you're about to do my favorite quest! Good luck my friend.
Thank you! I’m going to need all the luck I can get :)
guideless ironman sees someone called guidor, cue kill bill sirens
Thanks for something to watch while I grind the slayer! Displate still throwning me loads of ads !
Great video, can't wait to see how you deal with the underground pass!!
Thanks man!

Yeah sometimes I do mumble a bit in dialogue, will try to avoid that as much as possible
damn. j1mmy was right. you're fun.

Loving the series so far do you have a discord channel people can join?
Thank you! Nah not one atm, I’ll advertise it if I ever start one though
Keep it up brother, love the content!
Thank you bro!
Cant wait until you get to song of the elves/ Desert Treasure 2 etc.
love the series, underground pass will be hell, like.... really bad
Thank you! Yeah I’m not looking forward to it 😅

Same quest line but just wait till you reach mourners end part 2 , the temple of light is most my hated place and bro it’s not even close 😂
😭😭😭 there’s so much to ‘look forward’ to lool
I just did desert treasure 2 unguided on my iron, it's quite the challenge 😅
Congrats that’s insane, can’t imagine how hard that must have been. I’m a way off yet but already looking forward to it!
keep em coming, brother!

Looool that’s my middle mouse button clicking in 😂😭 Sorry if it’s off-putting, will try to make it quieter going forward
Haha, no it's not off putting, just my ADHD that cannot let things go 🤷♂️ appreciate the reply, good luck on the grind king
Thank you 🙏
There's an ingame tutorial for tempoross...did you just not do it?
THERE IS? 😂😂 I did not lol.
This was a while ago now though, so I now understand the game
Cant you chisel the rusty swords?
Love these 🎉

Fantastico!
despite only making up 13% of the population, West Ardougne citizens are responsible for 52% of all crime in Ardougne.

Sounds familiar
