Finding Runescape's elusive desert bird | Unguided #26

Welcome back to Unguided, where I'm trying to complete every quest in old school runescape without using a guide, wiki or plugins. I'll only be using my limited knowledge and in-game learnings. Full rules below.
RULES
- No use of OSRS wiki (or any equivalent) for anything - this includes looking up item spawns, quest guides, boss guides, anything
- No use of any other quest helper sites
- No use of quest helper plugin
- Essentially no use of any outside-game assistance
CAVEATS
- I love OSRS UA-cam, I might inadvertently learn something I don't know by watching my favourite content creators, but I'm not going to stop watching them so that's just a risk I'm willing to take + it's unlikely going to be relevant for me
- I may use some QoL plugins, but only a few. Loot tracker to prove grinds, ground items so I don't miss drops (and to add cool loot beams lol) and left click to use bones. Nothing that will give me info I didn't previously have
- I'm going to try and avoid any spoiler comments. If you can, please try not to help me if there's an episode where I'm stuck on something. I appreciate the sentiment but telling me an item spawn or quest step could spoil the fun :)

I dread the day that Im Unguided no longer brings his safety lobsters with him on quests. Theres something charming about anytime you need an inventory space you have to eat one of those lobsters 😂
"where can we get clay?" he ponders with the camera centered on a clay mine right next to the phoenix.
:o
I am thoroughly impressed with the series. I had a good laugh when he spent 2 hours trying to explode half of the underground pass😂😂

Thank you so much for the donation! I really appreciate the support and the kind words. Glad you’re enjoying the series :)
Goated way to play and experience RuneScape. Living Oldschool again vicariously through Unguided
YES! What a start to the weekend. Let's go!

you guys are legends for donating to a small YTber like this, im sure it means the world to them
My bro, thank you so much again and for all your prior support. I honestly appreciate your generosity so much, it cannot be understated! I hope you enjoy the episode ❤️
@@AlienFoodage Anything for the Beast of quests himself
I really enjoyed when your read out the lore of the quest, even though I already knew it. Any chance you can do more lore-reading in future episodes? You have a wonderful voice to spice up the immersion of the quests :D Love your series! Keep up the wonderful work
Thank you for the kind words! I have definitely thought about some lore reading videos or something like that further down the line when I know more of each of the stories
I've finally figured out why I'm so enthralled by this series. I've played for 18 years, and I know almost everything about this game. Not once did I ever do all the quests as they were intended. I always used the wiki or a guide.
You are doing the once thing I never got to do, and I've never been this excited to just experience this journey by being able to watch you. Thank you for doing the one thing in Runeacape I can never do. Enjoying the game the true way.
Man this comment really made me happy. I’m so glad I could reconnect you with a part of the game you played differently. I’m so glad you’re enjoying the series and hope you enjoy future episodes!
Oh no. I accidentally binged the whole series in 2 days! Damn good series, can't wait for more
Alien Food, you are a treasure to the osrs community. By far the best rs series hands down.
I love this, whenever you get stuck on something I sometimes pause to think about it myself. Stuff like the mud rune to make a sticky magic mud I would've NEVER gotten without help.
I really like all the logical steps and think-throughs in each quest, often arriving at the conclusion after exhausting every other option XD.
best osrs series on yt
It is absolutely ridiculous how quickly I click on these videos when they pop up in my feed.
This series is so enjoyable
I watched part of a "OSRS blind playthough" once that very quickly devolved into "OSRS blind wiki following", this is way more interesting! I'm still gonna use quest guide myself though :P
Had the ep1-20 pop up on my autoplay and now I've watched every ep in 2 days - love this shit keep it up my boy!
Thank you!
What a treat to end the day with! Thank you for making the best OSRS series since By Release! I would pitch in some money as gratitude, but my location does not allow it unfortunately.
Thank you so much for the kind words. I really appreciate the thought and trust me, your viewership and comment is more than enough for me. Thank you again!
This series is actually so good.
The only problem is there's not enough episodes lmao
Your editing skills and effort just increase every episode! That introduction to Uzer was so nice.
Time for Useless information stuff!
In OSRS the phoenix feather is only for this quest. It's useless otherwise. That's it.
In RS3 they make the phoenix feather more useful. It's the secondary ingredient for the super anti-fire potion (OSRS uses crushed superior dragon bones)
Which is unfortunate, because that means super anti-fire potions are forever locked out from my snowflake account on rs3. :(
Thank you for the kind words and continued support Feldamar! There’s so many 1 time use items I’m noticing in OSRS, more than I thought
I'm really hoping and trying to be "That one guy" in your episodes. :P
Someone you are always going "Where's his useless comment this time?"@@AlienFoodage
This series has become a routine part of every start to the weekend and i love it! Great episode as always
By far the best OSRS series going right now. Can see a Golden Gnome in your future.
I am always so excited to see one of your videos pop up! Thanks for giving me the only RS series I watch ASAP XD
the runescape logic has really kicked in for you on this one! I know we can't see the time spent fully on show sometimes but it feels like you are approching the quests differently now, with more of a runescape mindset! another great video!
Genuinely my favorite series on youtube, keep it up!
truly loving every single upload.. thanks for the quality content, narration and editing it really makes for a fantastic viewing experience!
this is the only series I get excited for! stellar work mate 🤙🏼
This is a great series, I just binged the whole thing over a couple days. I love the quests in RuneScape, great to see someone figure them out in this way! Keep up the good work!
Just spent most of the last week watching the previous episodes in the series and I caught up just in time for this one, can't wait for more, such a refreshing and relaxing way to watch RS content on UA-cam.
Absolutely love this series. A good combination if lore and entertaining puzzle solving. Keep up the good work. 😊
Having only had membership for a couple of weeks about 2 decades ago I have as much idea about most of these as you do. I spent most of the latter half of this video waiting, incorrectly, for you to visit the Phoenix Gang in Varrock. D'oh!
I saw your dig site video before going back to watch them all, and seeing you pick up the chemicals book and dropping it just like that... Great series
This series is so fun, what a great time for osrs content
This is one of the best osrs series ive ever watch tbh. Keep up the great work!
This series has inspired me to do any new quests that release completely unguided myself on my Ironman. Including While Guthix Sleeps when that drops this year :)
Love this series! Such a perfect balance as too much game knowledge and this would be easy and too little it would be impossible. Bring on the quest cape!
Man if you do a video of a compiled video I will watch this whole sires again. It is so good.
You are the greatest of all time, I hope you continue this series til the end. Best show on television!
Love this series! Great stuff dude.
Been keeping up with this since someone linked me the series a couple weeks ago. Excited to watch this every Friday now (unless you take a break, of course). Good Luck!
i love how much your channel has grown from this series, it's a great concept and i love seeing it succeed. keep up the high quality my man!
Thank you man, I really appreciate the support!
Legendary growth brudda. Love this series. Can't wait for the grandmaster quests lmaooo
Been looking forward to this all week!
I found it immensely funny that your desert outfit included the desert disguise. I really had no idea it affected desert heat.
Bro this series is so good it has me wanting to stop watching when it gets to quests I haven’t paid attention to in the past.
Thanks for making questing interesting.
This series quickly became my favorite OSRS series. I look forward to every episode!
Thank you for the kind words!
Thank you for responding! I am so excited for the next episode!@@AlienFoodage
this series is so comfy. perfect osrs content
top man luv u bro i know you will blow tf up keep going cannot understate how good you are at content creating u got this lad be proud of yourself n never let your head down
My man! Love to see another upload! Keep it up!
I love this series so much, constantly making me laugh
First time being caught up for a video. Well worth the wait
Still love you
Wow thank you so much for the generous donation. I’m seriously grateful for that. I really appreciate the support and hope you’re enjoying the series!
I still don't understand how you dont have more subs, such good content
There is another phoenix, I have a feeling you'll find it soon enough.
I hope you will also do some activities unguided. Since w/o guides they will be equally as entertaining to watch. E.g. bossing, minigames, efficient(er) skilling, finding out drop tables
Seeing this account go for a fire cape would be incredible
Yeah there definitely will be some unguided activities further down the line!
Well done, keen for the next one!
I like the series a lot :)
Loving this. Just commenting to support the channel
Thank you for the support!
Another amazing episode!
I saw your post yesterday and scrambled to finish some desert quests today so I could watch the vid and do them spoilerless too
Another awesome episode. I always wondered how you were supposed to figure out what to do in this quest
Thank you so much for the donation! Very generous of you. I’m glad you enjoyed the episode and hope you enjoy future ones too :)
You've inspired me to do an unguided iron man journey. I just created a HCIM (my first ironman) and I'm not very far in yet, but I'm really enjoying it!
Good luck on your own journey!
It's so funny looking bad as you casually throw away the book on chemicals. Haha
Around 15:15 the tea seller Ali is talking about four tea thieves. I think it's an obscure pun about alibaba and the forty thieves.
Damn that was actually a pretty complex quest without a guide... Definitely not short. But I was screaming GO NORTH for the feather hahaha
Love this series
Great series :)
Best osrs series currently
Love the series. It is putting the rpg back into osrs
I remember doing this quest when it came out. Spent ages day of release in Varrock with the Pheonix Gang looking for the feather. Fun times. We really had no idea what we were doing and no one cared it was fun.
Dammnnn i didnt even think of the phoenix gang lol. Glad I didnt cause that would have added hours to this quest 😂
Alien Food, Alien Food, always gets me in the mood...
'Short quest' I wonder how long the long quests are going to take you. Keep it up, very entertaining to watch.
I wonder if this series will have an impact, such as adding a note "I saw a flaming bird fly north" in the expedition diary
If this series ever influenced an in-game change I’d cry with happiness 😂
Love the longer episodes
Another banger thank you!!!!
White Graceful is as good if not better than a full desert outfit for heat protection
Fuuuuuuuuuuck yeah lol sorry bout the language but genuinely that excited when i see a new video from sir Alien Food
the adventures of Gollum
To be fair, even as kids in 2006 we knew about print screen and pasting into paint.
He wears a disguise with the desert robes to the desert ❤
hahaha geography questions and he pulls out a map in front of the examinator XD
Woooo finally caught up!
go into your settings and enable the new skill menu options and it'll no longer kick you out of dialogue
Honestly I forgot about the desert-phoenix, I do however know where to find a phoenix, and I'm intrigued on how you will find that phoenix when it's time for the quest in which it's needed.
23:46 omg if he accidentally figured that out I was gonna lose it
I dont know how you put out so much good content. Do you sleep?
Haha I appreciate the kind words and thank you so much for the incredibly generous donation, really really grateful for your support on the series ❤️
Yayy, Friday plans sorted!
I also had NO idea the Al Kharid guard payment was a bribe lol
Looking forward to SoTE
Top tip use a chisel on the demon throne
Do you check the official RuneScape new posts for when quests were released? As some are quite old it’s hard to remember which areas were new and which npcs were added and areas were released. Thinking about the fremmy isles firecracker incident…
I don’t, just as I’m limiting myself to in-game content, so even jagex-authored content is off limits (when it’s outside the game)
Commenting for your algorithm
Sorry to hassle you with this question, but what song from the OST did you use at the beginning of the "City of Uzer Lore" part?
No hassle at all, it’s the ‘Arabian 3’ track :)
fire
Desert Treasure next I believe
YESSS
I didnt expect a wizard at the wizard's tower to start using uwu language.
I've done all the quests in old school runescape nearly 3 times now and I feel like I've learned more about them from this series than anything else.
Please continue to read quest chat dialog, summarize books etc. Longer videos are welcome.
I love you
I now actually wonder, how in the world were you supposed to find the phoenix??
