  • Air Jordans retail and resell at higher prices than the average basketball sneaker. The high prices come from how the company makes and markets its iconic sneakers. The brand has a rich history, and its Air Jordan 1 is widely credited as the catalyst for sneaker-culture.

    Air jordan 1 :
    - total cost of production (in asia of course) : 20$

    - customs taxes : 2 $

I love how the myth of the Air Jordan 1 continues so that even Business Insider believes it. The NBA did not ban his shoe. They banned the black and red colorway because it violated their policy. After receiving a warning, Jordan wore AJ1s that were mostly white and did not violate the NBA policy. So no fine was paid because no rule was broken. He only wore the red and black shoes in two pre-season games and in the dunk contest and he was given a warning after those events, and never fined.

The higher the demand the higher the price, and now it’s getting to a point where people aren’t buying the shoe for its authenticity or it’s looks but because it’s popular and in style not to mention people like buying really expensive things because they think it makes them socially excepted🙈

NBA didnt ban the black and red air jordans one, they meant it to be Michaels old air nike shoes which the colour looks exactly like it. Nike also mistook it and thought it was banned because the NBA never stated which model they were referring to. Thats also why the first air jordans one was black and red, to match micheal jordans old air nike black and red shoe and to also match the chicago bulls theme. If you want a 'sporty' shoe to wear everyday, simply repurpose whatever shoe you use in your sports. I've always worn my fencing shoes once they get too beaten up on the strip. It'll be more comfortable than any new walking shoe you could buy and they're unique to you. Don't ape Jordan and Kanye. You have history and interests, embrace them.

When something is so wanted, price is bound to go up. When it’s limited, it’s bound to go up. It’s all about supply and demand. For me, I have a lot of shoes, and most are Jordans. Jordan’s Top priority was always addidas and they straight up rejected nike tried all thier best to presuade him from the start and he still didn’t wanted it and next option he went was Converse and they did the same and at the end they got him and now they made that shoe a legacy and the company is right there in the top.

In reality the shoe has a good quality but should not worth that much, it became expensive only because they made the shoe hype thats why is it cost more... I got Nike shoes Airmax 1, 90's and Jordan 1's, I bought them brand new and original but very cheap.😊
Like unwanted gifts, wrong size, sitting on thier cupborads etc.

Dammm!! People are so dumb, they buy for any BS reason. All of the reasons given in this video are just BS.
One of the main reasons for this shoe being this expensive is because Nike pays 130 Million$ every year to Micheal Jordon as royalty under this limited edition and keeping it expensive is the only way they can make profits.
