He’s currently out of the mini pros unfortunately with a mini wand so going to have to buy it direct. I tried
Of course they can be fooled! This is well known but for 99% of what the average stacker owns, these machines work.
Regular Sigma can be fooled with 925 plated eagles
I have the PMV mini pro. Little disappointed that I can't test gold nuggets or poured gold or silver correctly. Not sure if I'm just not using it correctly or it won't work with anything other than bars and coins
You aren't using it incorrectly it's just not designed to test items like that :(

The thin Kilo bars will fit under the sensor but not the thick ones. I showed it testing a kilo bar in the review video I did.

Disliked for a crucial inaccuracy. You said at 3:06 "It's testing all the way through the piece." While the Sigma Pro can check all the way through the piece, you had it in Surface Resistivity measuring mode. Not Thru Resistivity measuring mode.
There is a critical difference between these two things. The Surface resistivity measures less than 0.5mm of the metal near the surface. The Thru resistivity measures all the way through. You should remake the video with Thru resistivity enabled instead of just Surface.
You know... I'm on the app now and there is no option to switch between surface and bulk. That said, it CLEARLY read all the way through and picked up the copper. I was told by Aleks (who is in direct contact with the head of Sigma) that the mini actually measures both surface and bulk at the same time and doesn't really need to display the numbers separately.
