Well congrats on the engine glad u didn't do no Ls swapped or K engine swapped well since mazda and ford are kinda th same well it will work out fine...

Definitely do a compression test. We're you planning on doing a minor tear down on the motor? Something like taking off the valve cover or removing the oil pan to check for abuse or burnt oil??
Could you please let me know, what size bolts did you had to buy, to lift up the engine? I have to do this myself with a rented truck, and I would like to prepared ahead of time.

I'm doing the 3.o duratec swap in nb miata. They say it will bolt right up. I was watching a vid of the rocketeer kit but it showed trans adapter and cut on the bell housing. Has anyone had success bolting right up

You can get 2.5 block and get a head and turbo off a speed 3 bolts right up to the block

You have to do both to swap it into the car

I never move an engine on an engine hoist in a high position. I drive the truck out from under the engine and lower it before moving it.

Yes definitely need a refreshed flywheel. Wont be digging too deep for stage 1 of the project.

Nah I borrowed it from a friend. It was really comfortable to cruise around in, and really convenient when picking up an engine!
