The pleasure was truly all of ours as listeners, Dr. Chaffee. You are such a wealth of information, and I believe I can speak for everyone here as to how much we appreciate it. 🙏🏻
About the discussion on fruit. Most "Fruit" today was not ever available in its hybrid form, 100 years ago. Vegetables? The same. Just don't eat them. There does not need to be a "gut" wrenching "come to Jesus" decision about it. Plants are trying to kill you!
Awesome! I've been carnivore for over 20 yrs. I am 54 yrs old and have perfect health with boundless energy! I work my ranch all day where I raise cattle, goats, ducks, turkeys and chickens! 😁 excellent video!!! 👌
@@jacobbarfield7317 I was very overweight as a child And my dad and brother were diabetics. After I had my 1st daughter I was even more overweight so then that's when I decided to go on doctor Atkins diet. The only thing I ate was meat eggs cheese heavy cream and lettuce for 2 years. I Lost a ton of weight and decided to stay on that diet for years Having only one cheat day per month for the longest time period. But then I narrowed it down and got rid of the lettuce after I found out about toxin s in vegetables . So for the last 20 years I've been alternating between 99% And 100% carnivore.
I am 58 and I have recently gone full carnivore. Apart from the health benefits and weight loss, I just feel an overwhelming sense of wellness. No highs and no lows , just comfortable being in my own skin.
I feel exactly the same. I was eating a plant based diet for almost 3 years and never felt home in my own body. Being carnivore for 8 days i finally feel home, it's really crazy :)
@ontheroadtourism you nailed it! That’s the “carnivore zen” that people speak about and I love the way your phrased it. 3 years here, and that’s my favorite side benefit 💪
I wanna thanks on this channel doctor Chaffee for giving me the strength to convince my dad to go carnivore to fight his cancer . Everyone says that my dad can’t eat protein due to his kidneys. Doctor Chaffee told me that protein don’t harm kidneys. Long story short after only 10 days my dad dropped the fast insulin he just take the slow one and his blood work are little better especially the creatinine . This is just 10 days . So thanks a lot doctor Chaffee from my heart .
I found Dr. Ken Berry through a homesteader that visited him and he and Dr. Chaffee were doing an interview. I am now day 140 strict carnivore by 90 days all brain fog, blood pressure meds gone, and I no longer need reading glasses as of this week. Ha1c was 5.6 now 4.8. My morning ketones average 3 my glucose averages 78. No severe chronic debilitating migraines in 145 days. Ten inches and 30 pounds gone. These two doctors have changed 1000's of lives. I feel better at 64 then I did at 30. Carnivore for life.💜✝️
God bless you!! Thanks for sharing!! I’m just starting my carnivore diet. I’m excited, but I also know I have to be patient and take it one day at a time.
@@LexiC1013 I am on day 180 now and it just gets better and better. Give yourself lots of grace! I believe you will find success and what works for you. It is so nourishing, satiating, and healing that weight loss becomes the bonus not the goal imho. God Bless you. Merry Christmas.💜✝️
also: I am 61, Native American and my G-Grandma Keahbone , Kiowa, told us that when they slaughtered a Buffalo-or beef-she and the kids were made to race to see who got to eat the fresh, warm raw liver bites first-only the kids ate the liver! She said they would all share and eat it until the blood dripped off their elbows. It was never cooked. So adults=zero liver at least of the large animals. Oh she said it was like candy to them!
This guy is the number one in the carnivore I went from 5 years of keto to now 8 months strict carnivore I can't tell you what a game changer I mean I was super happy with keto and intermittent fasting but now carnivore has taken me to the next level I'm never looking back I'm sorry that carnivores not going to be a moneymaker for UA-cam channels or anybody else because there is nothing to sell you meat and water is so simple and so effective
@@indigo7387 Sounds terrible yes! But it's awesome yes, 8 months and no plans to ever stop. Life is now so simple shopping is a breeze Cooking also Air fryer oven, grill and a good cast iron skillet are all you need. Ribeye, Short ribs, Flank style beef ribs NY strip Chuck roast cut into steaks, Bison, Grass-fed when possible but not a deal breaker I eat lamb and venison and also have hardboiled eggs cooked and ready in the fridge for whenever I need a quick bite. What makes it work is heavy on fat I have Tallow, Raw lamb's milk gee, and wild boar lard to add to all my meats to make sure it's healthy omega 3's and extremely satiating. BTW I start every meal with 4oz of raw calves liver. It's sweet just like candy.
@Drock Look around in the grocery store. What would happen if we only ate meat, eggs, dairy? 90 % of the whole store would disappear. That was his point.
That's great, I'm glad to hear you're doing so well! And it's not about the money, I just want to get the message out there so that people can take their health back. Keep it up man, it keeps getting better from here!
Carnivore is the way to go! Was keto for a couple years and couldn't understand why I was suffering with massive bloating and weight gain. No plants for me! I highly recommend watching Dr. Anthony Chaffee's video "Plants are trying to kill you". Answered many questions for me!
@@ServantofMessiah81 Tom was basically the top guy praising keto and now we see him venturing into others and of course everyone is hopping over. It is sad that these things are trends. how in the hell is anyone supposed to get any good info when it all contradicts each other and the die hards in each just keep yammering on this is best no this is best.
I love reading people’s experiences, in the comments, with this way of eating! Thank you all for sharing! It’s your testimonies that I think for many of us curious about Carnivore lifestyle, that really “sell” the benefits. ❤
Dr. Chaffee along with Dr. Ken Berry are one of the reasons I started back on the Carnivore Diet/Lifestyle. Using their tips and knowledge, I'm able to stay on Carnivore and am already seeing the amazing benefits. I have cerebral palsy and it has made a radical difference in my balance and coordination, not to mention my increase in gains from my workouts.
I am 73 and was born 3 months prematurely and have fought CP my whole life. I think, after a year on keto, I am ready to become carnivore! Thanks for all the great info!
Never heard of Dr Chaffee but I am impressed. Everything he said seemed to just be logical and unbiased and make sense. Hard to find clinicians like this nowadays
@jasminejones9937 selling something doesn't automatically mean there is an ulterior motive or that they are dishonest. Sometimes selling something allows them to quit their day job and spend more time and money promoting the cause. For example, Dr Shawn Baker wrote probably the first book on the carnivore diet. He also runs a website that people can subscribe to in order to have a community and get information and tips. And because of that, he doesn't have to have a 9-5 job. He can spend more time making informational videos, responding to criticism, giving lectures, and funding more nutritive studies on the carnivore diet. And he does that without badgering you to buy anything. He just mentions it once in a while and goes about doing what he does.
This was a cordial, informational gold mine for ALL OF US who are trying to help each other void of the allopathic model. Congratulations to our host, Mr. DeLauer; and his guest, Dr. Chaffee. Hats off! 🎩
@@iloveseaglass Dude! Thanks for following up. So I was so dialed in and went from 232 to 188 before my 50th. But kinda went back to my old ways and bad habits….. So yeah! 👍😉😂
I cannot express how grateful I am to Dr. Chaffee. I started in the carnivore community in April as a way to heal some issues that I had. Of course that sent me to Dr. Chaffee and Baker although I had already been watching Dr. Berry for many years. But Dr. Chaffee‘s knowledge and what he gives you is so much help. It’s funny because I watch a lot of different carnivore people and they all add something to my journey. Of course the fact that he’s from my state helps lol I just love that he and Dr. Baker and steak and butter gal are from Washington. I honestly cannot even fathom going back to even keto because although I lost weight on keto it did not heal the issues that I had going on for me I had a very bad bathroom issues in the morning. And traveling especially in the morning was a nightmare. I am now regular and not running and hoping I make it. For me I found out I can’t have melted fats in the form of butter or tallow but I also knew I couldn’t do spices before so I have eliminated them and I do not have pepper because that is an issue for me as well. I mostly eat beef butter bacon eggs and salt. I’m 64 and the arthritis pain in my hip was getting worse every year. And now it feels amazing. I am so much better. Is it gone? No but the pain is probably 75% better. And then my asthma has cleared up because I got cheese out of my diet and I’m just plain healing.
@@catsrus2890 That happened to me as well. Four months into my carnivore life I went to my granddaughter’s birthday party and my daughter had pizza fresh veggie tray fresh fruit tray and I had about a cup of fresh fruits and veggies and that evening I could barely walk my hip hurts so bad. That’s when I said that’s it no more
Dr. Chafee is the man! I went full strict Carnivore 2 months ago and its been a lifesaver, truly. My RA and ankylosing spondilytis is finally getting under control and im stopping biologics completely. My anxiety and depreasion is much less prevelant and i can finally get restful sleep. Keto was helpful for me in my journwy, but only when I went Carnivore did i start to feel like im truly healing and getting back my health and happiness.
I too have noticed a major difference in the symptoms of my ankylosing spondylitis. My last ex rays to check my spinal fusing actually showed an improvement in my spine not a deterioration. The doctors where stumped. I do a combination of carnivore and intermittent fasting combined with prolonged fasting. I also had my inflammatory markers checked and they showed my inflammation was lower than the average. It was such a great day to have the test results back up the way I feel.
Thomas, first, thank you for your balanced research. I must say, when I took my keto away from plants and went more carnivore, I started getting a little better. However, I greatly thrived in workout, muscle growth, mood and health by eliminating seed oils and deciding to get some carbs from a little honey in my coffee and an apple and some blueberries. I had fatty liver disease less than two years ago. Adding a blueberry kefir smoothie 3 times a week completely reversed my fatty liver in a month. My doctor was floored at my blood work. I eat blueberries every day and apples most days. I am better in all ways today at 49 years old then I was in my 20s. I am transformed into a new person. Also, I too put a little liver in my hamburger meat once a week.
Honestly , this is great to hear. I didn't want to go carnivore because I love blueberies, strawberies and apples too much to give them up for long periods of time😅
Dr. chaffee is so right about not wanting meat sometimes. When I first started I was eating it like crazy and then I got to the point where I couldn’t even muster up the want to eat. That’s when I knew I was truly fat adopted or adopted. it went away after time and I got better at eating more consistently like Kelly Hogan says and I felt much better. But there were times where if I bought chicken I literally could not eat it but I could eat a hamburger. There was times where I really wanted to make a hamburger but it did not sound good. I think that people don’t listen to their bodies enough
I noticed there are times when nothing sounds good. I just get tired of eating. So I don’t. I figure it’s my body saying it’s time to fast. My doctor stresses that I only eat when I’m hungry and then until I’m maybe about 80% full.
Absolutely brilliant interview... Love Dr. Chaffee, his attitude, mannerisms, complete humble demeanour... love listening to him (albeit most of his youtube are longer than an hour! Great questions too Thomas... doing carnivore, reversing issues, and building strength and getting lean... not bad for a 65 year old retired airline captain!
Lost 100lbs on carnivore in 2022. It's like being given the combination to the lock on my weight loss closet. No calorie restriction intentionally but never hungry. Just went 36 hours without food and did not get hungry once. Fat adaptation is the real deal! Thanks for having Chaffee on. He is a great resource for solid info on this way of eating.
Great to see Thomas and Anthony together. I lost my excess weight (111 lbs in 2006) on Keto with vegetables but dropped vegetables and stayed carnivore for over the past 1.5 years. I like how my body feels and my bio markers on both ways of eating. I find Carnivore simpler and it healed my chronic constipation which was still a problem with veggies. I've always questioned whether small amounts of plant toxins could possibly be good to stress our system, like muscles we stress them deliberately, bacteria or viruses we welcome at small amounts of certain ones to build our immune system. Thankyou for addressing the hormetic effect of plants, there is a dose of certain plants that may be beneficial to some or in general. I know that lettuce, cauliflower and green beans in small amounts do not affect me in a negative way. I just don't eat them for simplicities sake and I don't miss them.
I found Dr Chaffee on podcast and I have been listening to him for a few months. Love this guy. I have been ketovore for 5 years and I feel better in my 50s than any previous decade of my life. Crazy.
I love this collaboration. I started my keto journey with Thomas's content and moved to carnivore diet to finish achieving my dream physique. Diet saves lives 👌
I’ve been on the carnivore diet for a month. I’ve lost 15lbs of fat and I’ve gained muscle. I can tell a big difference when I’m working out. I’m mad at myself for not starting this lifestyle sooner. Thank you for the info!!!
@Ali I’m about to gain muscle faster bc I’m eating nothing but proteins and fats so in turn I’ve noticed in able to lift more weight without taking any kind of supplements. Before this diet I could about 10 pull-ups and now I can do 20 and this has all happened within three months. I weighed 222lbs three months ago and today I weighed 202lbs. I’m stronger now for sure. I’m so much leaner. It’s given more raw power. I am really thinking of staying on this way of eating for a long time.
@@aqibsiddiqui4785 I eat different meats everyday. There’s no certain amount. I eat until I’m full which doesn’t take long bc all I’m eating is protein.
As a type 1 diabetic, I’m now down to half my Basel (12u/day) and almost 0 humalog. If I have some extra bacon or maybe some cheese, I’ll give myself 1-2 units. But I’m so sensitive now that one unit will take me down 70-100 points. I feel amazing tho! Pair this diet with strength/endurance training and that there is the “cure” for diabetes.
@@evevardanega5053 hi Eve. I’ve been on Keto for about a year, and carnivore for about 3-4 months. I highly highly HIGHLY recommend this diet to any t1 diabetic. I currently do not have a doctor so I’ve been testing myself like crazy (before and after meals, after the gym, etc). Slowly I brought myself down to 0 humalog before meals (home cooked, 0 carb meals) and every week I feel like I need less basel too. I cheated on Christmas, and it threw me into a spiral. That’s the main thing to keep in mind; not only is insulin more sensitive but carbs are as well. One cookie will shoot me through the roof now. But one unit of insulin bring me from 200 to 100 👍 exercise and intermittent fasting are the other two keys. 0 carbs (have a 4-6 hour eating window) and intermittent fast, exercise 3-5 times a week, and proper sleep👍 if you have anymore questions, I’d love to help.
@@brycenbry2770 I appreciate your detailed response so much. Thank you! I had begun researching carnivore for myself but began to wonder about the possibilities for T1's. Your comment was the first reference I saw on UA-cam. Since then, I've found a couple of interviews with other T1's that have made this change. I am going to present it to my son (31 yrs old) to see if he would be receptive to it. Here's a link to one interview I watched. ua-cam.com/video/lSJI3z4Bomo/v-deo.html
@@brycenbry2770 Hey Brycen, have you done any testing to see if your natural insulin production has changed since going onto carnivore? I've talked to other type 1 diabetics, and one said after 15 years of being t1d, he got onto keto and started doing wim hoff. His natural insulin production went up 3 times and now he's fully off insulin. I'm also t1d. My natural insulin production has consistently been at 1 (I don't know the unit measurement, but i know i'm at 1 and the range for normal is 4 to 12). I briefly did keto and carnivore for a short time, and it was much better for my diabetes. But I did not do it long enough to see any changes to the pancreas. I'm considering getting back on a high fat carnivore...
Dr Bernstein suggests diluting insulin if 1 unit or half unit lowers glucose too much. I suggest you watch his video about that. For some of his kid patients he dilutes insulin 10:1. That also happens if his patients are in countries where they can't get the medium acting insulin
Thank you for all of this great information. I am a Dental Hygienist here in TX and just recently was introduced to the Keto/Carnivore diet. I lost 13lbs in a month on the BBBE diet that Dr. Berry promotes but I have decided to stick with the Keto/Carnivore lifestyle. I am looking forward to the day i am no longer taking BP and cholesterol meds.
It will happen sooner then you think if you stick with it & you probably do not need cholesterol medication period. Statins are truly evil and lower your LDL which decreases your longevity.
Starting carnivore diet. I’m so sick of being sick and feeling like crap. Just had my thyroid removed for papillary thyroid cancer, my stomach is literally in shambles. I have burning intense pain so frequently it’s debilitating. I’m 31 and I feel like I’m dying slowly. I’ve been on the fence for years about going carnivore due to my love for a foods but enough is enough I’m sick of being sick! I have to do this for my heath. My lively hood depends on it. I have two young children who need me and I need to be healthy enough to take care of them. I’ll report back in one month on how I’m doing!
I have been keto for 4 years then whent 100 % carnivore, one meal a day for the last 12 months after following Dr Chaffee's formula of zero plants. Wow ... what a difference in body composition. My increase in lean body mass has gone through the roof. My kids think I'm bulking up on steroids 😄. I just turned 55 a day never been healthier in my life. Super lean and strong 💪No going back to plants for me!
Very little workout. Say 30 mins in the evening with medium weights, 5 days a week, mainly after my meal. May not be ideal, but this suits my lifestyle. Remember, it's not about perfection, but consitancey will yeild improvments. Make it easy to repeat FOR YOU. I lift, walk, cycle, and small sprints almost every day, mainly as mental relief as I work in an office environment 40 hours a week.
My weight is currently 74 kg (165 pounds) 5 foot 9 and very slowly increasing as I gain lean mass. If you look at me with jeans and jacked on, you would think I weigh less as people assume I have more fat and less lean mass on me. I often get this comment. I eat approx 800 grams (1.8 pounds) of uncooked beef + 2 eggs per day and canned sardines or mackrell 3 times a week for iodine and other trace minerals. I don't take any suppliments. All I drink mineral water to thirst with the occational black coffee under a business or social environment a few times a week. I have been eating this way now for 20 months straight. Still kicking butt :)

I am 55 and I have Hashimoto's. I've started eating Keto then switched to Carnivore March of 2021. I only recently realized that I have an allergy to eggs. I get puffy bags under my eyes when I eat them. I quit dairy in November 2022 and within two days my anxiety lifted. I feel my best and enjoy eating beef, bacon & salt. I was on t4/t3 meds for 17 years. As of Jan 22' I am med free and feeling great. Great Conversation 👍
Congratulations 🎉 sorry about the dairy. Butter does that too? Maybe other eggs, goose or duck.... Get allergy checked, carnivore may be fixing an issue!?!
For all those folks asking about Vit C, here ya go... Scurvy is the inability to turn proline and lysine into hydroxyproline and hydroxylysine without Vitamin C as the catalyst. it turns out meat is rich in both hydroxyproline and hydroxylysine which can be absorbed from the gut and used by the body so much less hydroxylation needs to take place, hence less vitamin C needed. P.S. Those sailors on long expeditions who suffered from scurvy were eating carbs, not meat!
Both of these guys have really helped me dial in my nutrition. I am in the best shape of my life at 33 with two young boys at home. Say this everywhere, I lost 105 lbs since march 2022 since starting carnivore. I am 28 and had cradle cap which a doctor told me I would have forever and nothing could be done, just keep putting steroid cream on it. Fast forward to now in November, down 105 LBs, feel fucking amazing and my cradle cap has gone from scabbing and bleeding and making me itch like a crackhead to looking like someone slapped the back of my head and it's still getting better. my friends even made a comment on how my head looked so painful before but now looks like it's just a tad red. THis shit works.
Hey bro! Please tell me how and what specifically did you eat during that time frame? Because I was eating strict carnivore for 5 months and was gaining weight. Calculate your Basal Metabolic Rate and adjust calories in/calories out based on your lifestyle.
I have RA, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue syndrome & Celiac disease. I started Keto and lost 37lbs and was able to figure out what foods made me hurt and feel horrid. 99% of veggies bother me. I went full carnivore 3 days ago, I have lost 3lbs and feeling great.
Awesome! Today is day 13 for me of being carnivore. I have an unknown autoimmune disease that was blanket diagnosed as fibro about 6 or 7 years ago. Cutting out all plants but a little seasoning has taken my pain away for the most part. I had a very small amount of joint pain, here and there, with a couple of days of no pain and haven't had any, besides my normal back pain in about 2 or 3 days now. I'm actually kinda hoping that it's not actually autoimmune, but oxalate dumping instead, because over time it'll get better.
Been on carnivore for 2 weeks and my blood pressure is already dropping as is my blood sugar and weight. I do feel better and I have no problems just doing OMAD or 2MAD and not being hungry. Amazing. So what about vitamins A, K, D, E, omega 3, and all the minerals especially magnesium? Does carnivore meet those? Also, flavonoids, polyphenols, and other antioxidants? Where does a carnivore diet land on those? When you say no plants does that include avocados, olives, and other fatty plants?

Great interview, two of my fav’s on the same channel. Thank you for the opportunity to learn even more about the immediate benefits from carnivore as well as the long-term benefits. So much of what Dr. Chaffee says about our history of plant eating makes perfect sense. Not until the introduction of harvesting did we begin to see a change in society’s overall health. When man hunted game and that was the bases for nutrition, we were lean and didn’t have a tenth of the health issues we have now. Evolving is necessary but we got too smart/ dumb for our own good.
Has the cognitive dissonance kicked in yet? 9 months after eating 95% carnivore I still sometimes have trouble dealing with the fact I perform best when I only eat food sourced from animals. Five decades of being told to eat my veggies has taken it's toll. Keep calm and eat meat.
I’ve read and reread your post several times and I can’t figure out what I like most. “Cognitive dissonance,” “Keep calm and eat meat,” or just the fact that your username is dieselbourbon! Holy crap!
I've been doing carnivore for about two years now, and have lost just a little over 100 pounds. My brain fog and balance issues have cleared up. My IBS symptoms have gone away, completely. I had had diverticulitis for years, and even had to have surgery on my bowel to fix a perforation from that, and those symptoms are gone as well. My doctor tells me that my inflammatory markers are way down, and that my calcium artery score is excellent. I'm 47 years old and I haven't felt this good since my late 20's. I'm looking forward to many more years of improved health, because of people like Dr. Chaffee, Dr. Baker, Dr. Berry, Nutrition with Judy and the Diet Doctor podcast. The other thing I discovered going strict carnivore, like Dr. Chaffee mentioned at the beginning of this video, is that on a carnivore way of eating, you end up naturally eating in a time restricted way, (a.k.a. intermittent fasting), not because you put in effort to do so, but because your become satiated for long periods of time eating animal fat and protein. I only eat twice a day, first at around 1 pm, and then again at around 6 pm, and I feel naturally satiated the rest of the time. I don't eat anything else the rest of the day. If there ever was a "miracle cure" to what ails most people, it would be the carnivore way of eating. Except that it's not miraculous, but natural. I highly recommend everyone give it a try, for at least three months, strict, and see what heals and clears up for you.
What are some typical meals for you? Do you ever get sick of eating the same thing? I like the idea of only cooking steak every day but I'm afraid I literally would not be able to swallow the same meal every day.
@@niveajones6400 Mainly, I eat beef, either ground or patties. I also eat steaks, as well as "stew beef", or chunked beef. I also include lamb and pork, but not as often. I almost always cook everything with butter, and use a bit of salt to season. Sometimes when I'm getting a bit tired of the usual stuff, I'll include a little bit of cheese, or sour cream to add a bit of a different taste. For the most part however, I don't get tired of what I eat. I actually crave it. Not very often, there are times when I miss being able to have other things. That feeling or urge goes away when I fill myself up with beef, however. Nearly all of my cravings went away within six months.
@@BeauSmithFtl Cool! That's encouraging. I HATE cooking. So….this might be the answer to a big problem. If I can stand it. LOL. Thank you for sharing your experience!
Five months carnivore. Migraines went from 17 per month to maybe one per week but I can take ibuprofen so it’s not even a migraine. And I have a very stressful job. I ate beef butter bacon eggs a little bit of cheese no carbs no sugar. Lots of beef patties. And to get the 70% protein and 30% fat, I add a lot of unsalted butter. Maybe a third to stick with every meal depending on how much beef fat I have. I put heavy whipping cream in a meal maybe once every two months as a treat. No more cravings. I can walk by the popcorn the chocolate the peanut butter at the grocery store and just pass it up no big deal. Lost 10 pounds. Exercise a lot less, but need to get back into it. I work all the time. No more inflammation. No more neck pain, no more rashes on my skin. the best decision I ever made.

what an intelligent interview! i have been about 2 years on keto & i feel better than any time. me diving into proper human diet lead me to keto\carnivore & it's like another step in feeling awesome. i think after these experiences i'll end up carnivore or at least carnivore\fruits diet i think the allergies from dairy, nuts or vegetable are by eat inflammatory toxic food like sugar, gluten & hydrogenated vegetable oils that destroys gut. & if someone from the day burn avoiding those i think may get a way with the allergies\immune diseases what make healthy meat & eggs expensive is because human eating their fodder! legume, seeds & vegetables! health enthusiast should collaborate & support farmers doing regenerative agriculture because it support all good things including healthy proper human diet
I lost 80 pounds on Carnivore. Kept working out added other foods back into my diet. Gained 15 pounds over 4 months. Back on carnivore for a week and feel immediately better. Still have 80 more pounds to go
I was diagnosed with UC several years ago and I finally figured out that if stopped eating uncooked “green” vegetables like salads etc that my symptoms would go completely away. I stopped all meds and I’ve been symptom free for around 12 years. I eat mostly red meat, eggs and no milk products.
I was keto from SAD for over 6 years then Carnivore since Feb 2022. Amazing change. Doesn’t mean keto isn’t good. It was just not optimal for me as I still suffered major health issues.
I have been on carnivore all this year. I was suffering with bloating , heartburn , chronic inflammation , psoriasis , back pain, depression , bleeding gums to name the most troubling . I have always been interested in nutrition as i always struggled with health issues even though i ate pretty healthily , or thought i was. My health has improved drastically , curing pretty much everything ..I implore anyone struggling with issues like theses to try the carnivore . Was immediate to me the difference in my well being. We have been lied to for decades about nutrition. Absolutely no doubt ... Meat heals.
@HOW to IELTS psoriasis is a stubborn condition to get rid of and I reckon it took a few months to start to notice a real impact and it takes a few months really to get your head around and your body adjusting to just eating animal based products. I was really strict for the first two months and felt great but started to eat a bit crap again after and noticed all my health issues started to come back . So I went strict again and it’s just been a gradual improvement since , to a point now where I have very little psoriasis left … maybe it doesn’t work for everyone but I’m sure it’ll improve 95% of people . Just try it … stick with it! Don’t beat yourself up either If you slip up. I have found the more strict I am the better I feel .. if I have a curry and a few beers I feel sluggish and achy for a few days so I’m getting to a point now where I think it’s just not worth it .. do you want to feel good all the time ? Or do you want to eat crap and feel crap and get the inflammation back ? It’s simple as that really .. hope this helps and good luck 👍🏼.
@HOW to IELTS oh and I eat mostly steak , eggs , pork , lamb..bacon .. red meat is best . I use butter to fry with , only full fat. I sometimes make my own natural yogurt with live bacteria , which is made with full fat milk .. don’t worry you might slip up like I did .. but you’ll find if you stick it out you will feel so much better , and the weight just flies off 😆.. and try to eat the fat off your meat , we’ve been lied to about saturated fat for decades .. you tube is a great resource to learn anything about carnivore .. read the comments on the videos too, thousands of people all going through the same journey 👍🏼
@@estata12 My psoriasis has turned out to be an allergy to white rice. We started eating rice when we found that my 7-yo daughter has celiac disease. She stopped throwing up and her rashes went away, then mine began. To be honest...I think celiac disease isn't a disease. It's our natural healthy state. When I don't bring grains into the house we all get healthier.
Thank you for having Dr. Chaffee on, Thomas! This was fascinating! Honestly, I'm happy with what I eat and I've never been interested in going carnivore but Dr. Chaffee has changed that. I'm curious...! 🧐😀
i'm on day 5 and transitioning into this. i have replaced most meals with mainly meats and little to no veg, i still have a slice of buttered toast sometimes. i only eat 2x a day due to my overnight work schedule so i basically intermittent fast. i was recently put on cholesterol & BP med 6mths ago and trying to make changes at 47yo 5'5" at 190lbs. this is the heaviest i've been and i'm hoping weight loss will be a happy side effect. still researching and seeing how to adapt to diet and options available for me. so far satisfied at meals of steak, eggs and burger patties. sleeping has been much better so far. changes are starting.
Absolutely awesome interview. Love this kind of content. I really liked the buffalo reference. As a hunter, I've always consumed as much of the animal as I can. But if it's something I buy, it's definitely just the muscle meat for me. Thanks again. Keep the awesome content coming.
I had pig brain soup when I was in a home stay in Bolivia. The grandmother who lived in a shed on the balcony had brought back a baby pig on an all day bus ride after staying with family. It was the best soup I’ve ever had. Amazing.
Chaffee is 43. His face is so relaxed. Unlike the other carnivore docs he doesn’t do caffeine. Those other carnivore docs could look this refreshed too if they gave up the caffeine.😃
Sounds interesting. We stopped eating/growing the following plants; soy, corn and night shades and already feel so much better. We follow intermittent fasting 12:12, eat more of a Daniel Plan/clean kosher style diet which helps our digestion, regulates sleep and weight. We enjoy gardening and have a variety of fruit growing on our homestead that we can all digest fine. I freeze or freeze-dry the fruit instead of adding sugar to make jars of jam. We grow gmo-free grains for chicken feed and currently have enough for 2 frozen or canned chickens per week. Looking into expanding our meat production to increase our daily protein. Each of us need to do what works!
Dr Chaffee is the reason I switched to carnivore, his efforts have improved my life tenfold. I've always been very active but I could never shed down to look athletic. After 8 months of carnivore I'm in beast mode, as confirmed by several of my training partners.
Been on carnivore keto for about three weeks now I’m also including intermittent fasting. I’m having two meals a day fasting 18 to 19 hours. I’ve lost 14 pounds I did keto before it worked but I kept bouncing in and out I had real bad carb cravings got gained the weight back. Bouncing in and out until one day I decided I’m done Carnivore is so much easier to do. I do incorporate keto with it along with fasting. This is my new lifestyle.

7:24 For anyone that doesn’t like liver - go to Japan, go to a Yakitori (BBQ chicken restaurant), order the chicken liver and you’ll be addicted. They cook it very quickly over the charcoal so that it’s still soft in the centre, like butter, and their charcoal adds the special taste. Sometimes they spray it with sake as they grill it, then add a little salt. Heavenly. They also serve it raw with a raw egg that you dip it into, pro level only.
I’ve been on a fat adapted, keto diet for years, and decided to go strictly carnivore about a month ago. I exercise regularly both commuting to work, and at work all day. I feel better now than I have for ~20 years, and have zero temptation to start eating plants again. I absolutely love raw milk, and consume it regularly, (I mix raw eggs with it and drink some eggnog twice daily). I have yet to notice any negative effects from the lactose. Since going carnivore, (with significant consumption of raw milk); I’ve lost a little more visceral fat, my muscles are better toned, and I feel fantastic. However, tolerance for dairy has a lot to do with one’s ancestry. Most of my forbears were Swiss, and that population group has used dairy for a very long time. Ymmv.
I'm on day 7 carnivore and day 34 sober. Feeling so much better already and NEVER looking back! I've tried so many diets. Vegan, vegetarian, low carb BLA bla.. nothing ever worked. Sure i lost weight and felt a little better but it was like a bandaid on a wound that wouldn't heal. I remember eating massive bowls of salad filled with every veggie under the sun and feeling so bloated and crappy afterwards. This week I've eaten till I'm full with meat and eggs and feel 10000000 times better! I'm no longer a denier, there's simply to much proof and success stories to ignore! Meat eat for life!
What a revelation regards the poisionous nature of plants and fruits. Since eating strict carnoivre diet blood suagrs always in range and have reduced to 5. This is unheard if for me and im exstatic to have found the key to better health. God bless you both
Since transitioning to a primarily animal based diet from Keto, I no longer have allergies symptoms or rheumatoid arthritis issues. What are your thoughts on introducing fungi into an animal based diet? I tend to lean to a more hunter-gatherer type of diet only eating fruits or fungi when I crave (meaning my body is missing something) them.
I really enjoy seeing people that I have follow such as yourself doing interviews and keeping an open mind with carnivore and speaking with Dr. Chaffee!
Wow...I learned a lot in a hour. Thanks Thomas for bringing my attention to this man. I am not yet 100% sold on carnivore diet yet (my workouts are so much better with some carbs....fruits. I eat fruit pre-work and post workout, but that's it.), but I am definitely leaning towards eating more meats, sacrificing plant based foods. I am a picky eater so I already hate veggies, but I eat green leafs. So it won't be that hard to cut even more back.
I've been the same way for years, grass fed beef, tallow, butter, and RIPE FRUIT! Unripe fruit isn't good for you and even hurts my stomach. Anyways, I dropped the fruit and picked up whole, cream top, grass fed milk. After one day the milk started tasting like ice cream. I've gained body fat from the milk!!(because I'm drinking nearly a gallon a day for a few days)
Your workouts would actually benefit from cutting out the fruit and carbs. It would take a few months to fully adapt, and during that few months you will have less energy, but afterwards you will find yourself with steady, even, energy that just lasts and lasts. There are plenty of athletes on a strict carnivore diet doing their workouts with zero carbs. Including Dr Shawn Baker who even in his mid 50s continually breaks records (which he holds) in indoor rowing, which takes a ton of energy to do.

Yes Dr Chaffee is great AND he's not selling anything ! just sharing the correct information

I cannot express how grateful I am to Dr. Chaffee. I started in the carnivore community in April as a way to heal some issues that I had. Is it gone? Hi i started 4 days ago yet have low energy and mood does this get better.
I've always questioned whether small amounts of plant toxins could possibly be good to stress our system, like muscles we stress them deliberately, bacteria or viruses we welcome at small amounts of certain ones to build our immune system.

I’m so much leaner. It’s given more raw power. I am really thinking of staying on this way of eating for a long time.
@Ali I don’t feel drained. I practice Jiujitsu and it hasn’t left me behind.
Nice dude keep on with the good work 👌
Great, can you tell me how much beef you eat per lbs?
@@aqibsiddiqui4785 I eat different meats everyday. There’s no certain amount. I eat until I’m full which doesn’t take long bc all I’m eating is protein.
As a type 1 diabetic, I’m now down to half my Basel (12u/day) and almost 0 humalog. If I have some extra bacon or maybe some cheese, I’ll give myself 1-2 units. But I’m so sensitive now that one unit will take me down 70-100 points. I feel amazing tho! Pair this diet with strength/endurance training and that there is the “cure” for diabetes.
Hi Brycen, I'm curious as to how long you've been eating carnivore. My son is a Type 1 and I keep wondering if he can benefit from this too?
How are you doing now 1 year later?
Do you work out a lot with it
Care to give what your one meal is and your size?
@@radioaxe6964 good for you! Yea I’m a bit more active and much more into weights at the gym but just started carnivore and have a lot to learn. ! Thx for reply

I'm 55 going on 4 months from keto to more ketovore and probably going to carnivore to help change my type 2 diabetes and E.D amongst whatever else is going on internally. Thank you Thomas, Dr Chaffe is not only a good role model. He knows the science well. I’ve been carnivore for 65 days and I’ve lost 10kg. I was pre diabetic, high blood pressure and now it’s all gone. I had a short siesta, felt ok. But I’m back on carnivore 💪🏼

What was your bp before and now?

Good points..the fact they arent dropping dead proves it has vitamin c

I've been planning to begin eating a carnivore diet. Thank you so much Thomas for sharing this video.❤🙏🏽
Congrats on your progress!

How are you doing?

So what about vitamins A, K, D, E, omega 3, and all the minerals especially magnesium? Does carnivore meet those? Also, flavonoids, polyphenols, and other antioxidants? Where does a carnivore diet land on those?

But what you CAN’T usually buy are testicles because they are such a delicacy (or so they say) that they never reach the store! You mention them at around 9:45 or so. Thank you for the video!

Awesome content, been watching Dr. chaffee for a couple of months now and I like his style!!!
Carnivore is, by far, the best way of eating out there! If you haven’t tried it, give it a chance and you’ll be amazed.
I've never had a problem with beef liver fried in bacon grease. I also like liver sausage (Braunschweiger).
Excellent post and fantastic progress!!!

And don’t forget to add salt , good quality rock /sea/ mineral salt 😆👍🏼

What's wrong with coffee?

Great interview and facts about how much we are supposed to be eating carnivore. And how plants are inherently toxic to us as a rule.
God bless you both
Thank you Thomas for bringing Dr. Chafee on your show.
Check out this video by Dr Chafee. He mentions fungi in this talk. ua-cam.com/video/j1cqNDDG4aA/v-deo.html
What kind of fungi?
@@Disciple-ofChrist Mushrooms, bella, shiratakke, enoki, those types of Fungi. The video recommended above anwsered my question.
I really enjoy seeing people that I have follow such as yourself doing interviews and keeping an open mind with carnivore and speaking with Dr. Chaffee!
Interview I'm waiting for long time✌💪🏻🔥
Excellent interview! Well conducted with remarkably helpful advice!
The fact that he’s so handsome doesn’t hurt😁
Danke!
Fantastic podcast for both of you.
