On the cost issue. I think people are looking at it the wrong way. What's your life worth? We cut our monthly subscriptions, eating out far less often, defer phone upgrades, shopping at thrift stores, check for grocery sales, etc. Luxury to me means health and eating great cuts of meat.

      Instead of a donut…🍩🍩🍩
Try this… I call it my 1+2+3 cookie
No it is not carnivore….but it will get you over the hump….so you can stay on track without gaining weight….which is the point right⁉
      1 cup almond flour
      2 tbsp water
3 tbsp Lakanto Monk fruit sweetener
Combine all to form a dough.
      Roll ten balls
Flatten balls on a parchment lined baking sheet.
Bake in preheated oven at 350F
About 12-13 minutes until slightly golden.
DO NOT TOUCH until completely cold.
The cookies will firm up as they cool.
Each cookie about 1.2 gr carbs
So….prepare a steaming mug of 🧈butter coffee…sit and enjoy half the batch of cookies for 6 grams of carbs.
Variations….add a drop or two of vanilla to the water before mixing into dough.
Add any favourite spice, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, or omit sweetener and go savoury…
Add a dash of Montreal Steak Spice Andy flatten into crackers. Or curry spice.
Or onion. Or garlic. Or everything but the bagel spice. The possibilities are endless.
      Hope this helps‼

No more snoring,no longer hypertensive, testosterone through the roof libido ⬆️, no aches and pains, teeth never covered in plaque, no more brown stains on my shins ( sign of hypertension) I’m doing things I never thought I’d do again such as riding enduro motorcycles, sea kayak fishing and long distance mountain walking. Hardest part for me was the feeling of missing out. Seeing others who were able to just eat whatever and not gain weight. Not have any obvious health issues. Feeling depressed because i was the one who had to be so strict and intentional about what i ate. I just wanted for once to be like everyone else. My entire life was a "diet" it absolutely consumed me and i hated it. It took a long time to learn to accept the fact that if i wanted to be healthy and achieve a normal weight, i was just going to have to do what was right for me and quit comparing my lifestyle to others.

Hi Laura and Chris, loved your best and worst emmision. Laura your UA-cam episodes were some of my first carnivore encounters and later on I found Dr Ken Berry, Dr Anthony Chaffee etc but you and Chris were my inspiration because it was the best demonstration, you were both huge and troubled by the side effects of the modern way of eating, you successfully turned all that around. No further proof is required than looking at your before and today photographs. 7 years now is all the proof needed. So many thanks and also thanks for demonstrating that a little flexibility with types of meat and seasonings has kept you on track.
My names Rob and I live in Kent, UK. I am in my 19th month of carnivore now and I dropped from 220lbs to 154lbs over that period although I was 260lbs at my worst. I started this journey trying juicing, vegetarian, vegan (nearly killed me) followed by ketogenic which is when I discovered your channel, nothing beats carnivore for me, I'm so stable on it, and never tire of meat. So 19 months in on top of the weight benefit here's a list of the horrid things I lost, stopped snorring (better sleep), stopped eczema and my skin is now much more youthful and feels smooth and slightly waxy, my tear ducts work now, I don't get blocked ears from wax, in fact my hearing has measurably improved, libido improved and depression and anxiety just melted away. Massive improvements have occurred in my courage to live, I can cycle 120+ miles per week and swim 1000 yds, I am mid sixties now and feel like I am in my 20s again.
I haven't quite solved the socialising scene yet since locally it revolves around dinner parties and alcohol consumption but I have substituted this for my wonderful cycle club and gym. I am optimistic to discover how much further my condition will improve since my muscles continue to grow and reform like my skin. I see the same transformation in your photos.
I really celebrate your huge kindness in sharing your journey with us strangers who now enjoy the benefits with you.
I send you both and your family my very best wishes,
    Rob

I allow myself to eat low carb/keto, but I also have many carnivore meals, and this helps me to stick with this way of eating. Sometimes it's really fun to follow recipes and make fancy things, but I also really love cutting down on time in the kitchen. I think one of the hardest parts is sticking with it consistently, long enough to really reap the full benefits. I just watched a video about a guy who’s blood sugar numbers were 500, ended up in the hospital, on insulin , etc then at about three months into carnivore had completely reversed his diabetes. Whereas I’ve been on it a couple of weeks, which I know is a short time, but my blood sugar numbers have not dropped at all. I think it gets back to the “everyone wants quick results”, but everyone’s body is on a different timeline. Hard not to compare yourself to other people who seem to drop weight so quickly and reverse all their symptoms ain no time at all. Thanks for the video and for addressing the grief side of giving up the foods that are familiar and bring your comfort.

If you haven't lost weight in 2 1/2 years on carnivore you likely need to eat more food. You may be in a chronic deficit and until you feed your body it will cling to the excess weight. You also need the food to heal hormones and this is very important for women of all ages.

Been doing carnivore since August and have lost 45lbs so far. Not only that, but my leg, ankle and feet edema dramatically improved almost immediately! I think the hardest thing for me has been giving up the quick and easy convenience foods. So much daily cooking now ... if I'm not cooking, I'm cleaning up the kitchen and washing dishes. My microwave thinks I hate it! lol It's been totally worth it though and with a little planning, it's really no big deal. Thank God I retired 7 months ago and have more time to focus on the important things.

    • @DebraR35789
      @DebraR35789 15 днів тому +1

I hate cooking so I have my husband grill a week’s worth of hamburger patties at one time. Then once they cool down, I store them in ziplock bags (2 patties each) per serving, then put them in the freezer. When I’m hungry I just pull out a bag, throw it in the microwave and, bam, I don’t have to cook. Another trick I do is I cook all my ribeyes in my crock pot. I throw one in the pot in the morning then by lunch or dinner I have a very tender steak. I use crockpot bags so I don’t have a big mess to clean up afterwards. Now I only need to run my dish washer once a week. Lol

You are both so authentic 🎉great video topic. Eating carnivore for four years. The hard part is boredom from lack of variety. But I had that feeling eating SAD, so what's different lol. I could make a huge list of the pain the SAD caused me.
There are SO MANY benefits from carnivore. You covered many of them, no crashes, no obsessions, no sugar cravings, no more reading labels, no more wondering what I ate that made me feel sick, no longer a slave to food, rarely go shopping etc. Hardest for me is eating animals, 😢 witnessing ppl eat like addicts, and wishing my family could experience all the benefits that come with the carnivore diet.

✨✨✨I believe CARNIVORE has to reasonably doable….I use spices, 🧅onion, 🧄garlic, 🌶red hot pepper flakes to add flavour to my meats. I think I own every spice blend known to man…and every spice! From all around the world. I wish I could learn how to 🥚🥚🥚cook eggs in at least 750 different ways…recipes from all around the 🌎world for a change of taste. No boredom there‼‼
I use stevia in my coffee and tea and enjoy coffees and teas from all around the 🌎world.
Water💧💧💧I cannot stand the taste of…even filtered water…and bottled water is not that healthy either. Bottled water contains micro-plastics. No thanks.
Bottom line, give yourself permission to be flexible and do not worry about the “police”👮
The only thing that is constant…I eat 🥩meat, 🥓bacon and 🍳eggs!

I said hold on I am on the Carnivore diet and all the eggs and butter and meat is causing this. I will add back in some fruit and vegs. She calmed down. My blood tests have always been perfect. I was 69 years old at the time and also going through the most stress of my life my wife left me for another guy. I am find now and dating all is well stress wise. I am very happy. I am going back to being a Carnivore. My eczema cleared up my joints don't hurt my constipation cleared up. Energy level was constant. I only ate twice a day. Some times once. I loved it. I was able to stay on track before having kids when I was working a lot. I’m not as lucky to have a carnivore spouse. I too can't really eat much after having my eggs and bacon. But I do believe that if you are still "over weight" and you feel full enough to skip a meal you should. If you find that you weight is stalled then you should just walk. Here is why I believe this: if you walk long enough (over 30min even at a slow pace) your body has no choice but to slow burn the massive amounts of fat left on your body. If you try to run or over workout all its going to do is stress you out, make you tired and hungry. Walking does none of that. If you reached your goal weight and you are starting to feel tired, get headaches and moody you are under eating. This is when I would suggest dairy or some kind of sauce that would entice you to eat a little more. Instead of eating once a day, spread out your fat and protein into smaller meals. I personally hate the idea of snacking or eating multiple times a day because that's what made me fat before. I like fasting, having a flat stomach and eating like an animal once a day. But if you are not active and eating so little that your metabolism slows down you have to spread the meals out, eat more, or walk. I DO NOT recommend running or forcing yourself to do HIT or weights to force yourself out of a stall. That never works.

I have chicken breast with butter, chicken tenders, chicken wings, chicken broth, burger patties, meatballs, all kind of cooked and roasted beef, beef broth, cooked or fried salted pork belly, crunchy pork legs, rips and all sort of cuts, lamb, 4 kind of fish (that is not so expensive), shrimps and seafood, fried eggs, steamed eggs, scrambled eggs with different kind of cheese, yoghurt, cream cheese, creme fraiche/ sour cream, cream, whipped cream, BUTTER ...all sorts of meat, boring people would never dare to try, like tongue. If you add sugar free seasoning you can multiply your dishes tastes. you can have creamy sauces like hollandaise or just cook your chickenbreast in the oven... in cream and topped with cheese... I hear the kitchen calling...
