This is why I feel better eating ground beef. I raised my calories to include ground beef and ended up losing more weight. The beef cravings were extreme. The body knows what it needs, especially if you're a woman dealing with hormones.

My weight loss was completely stalled. My cravings for beef were out of control so I added 100 grams of ground beef ( a burger) daily and I started losing 2-3 lbs weekly. That was the only change I made. That amount worked for me.

@Lavendel-ly5pb Carnivore diet. No carbs --> drops insulin right down --> switch on fat burning, switch off fat storage, flatten appetite. Been living that way for a year now, have settled on daily piles of ground beef and eggs. Super satisfying, feels great, fat down, muscle up, energy up, sleep better, everything better, amazing stuff. Ultimate cheat code of life.

Not really. The challenging part is cutting all the garbage such as seed oils. The first phase is cutting carbs and sugar to start the process of healing the gut and body. Then that’s when you research and find out it’s actually refined complex carbs, refined bleached and deodorized sugars, and the big one, seed oils, that actually causes fatal cardiac events. So to cut seed oils you pretty much can’t go out to eat anywhere which is what makes date nights, family gatherings, etc, the most challenging part

Bison dont eat meat and they're ripped, how does that work? They can digest protein from plants, so can we. Thats the advnatage of an omnivores digestive system, it can digest protien from both. You really dont need meat to pack on protien, infact its probably less healthy for you overall. When i quit eating meat ,then had some, it really took so much energy to digest it, it really knocked me out for hours digsting it. I guess you can afford that as a predator, but as an athelete or someon who wants more energy i dont see it as the ideal diet choice.

The goal is grass fed though, not patties from sick cows and overcooked seed oil meat.
Don't get me wrong, I love a good In N Out burger once in a blue moon, but keep it super rare. I even will eat the animal style fries and all those seed oils, BUT again, super rare I'll do it.
I can't even imagine where In N Out gets their meat from. Cows fed shit diets work their way into your body.
Not an expert on how In N Out sources their meat, but I highly doubt it's grass fed at all or clean meat at all.
If it's not grass fed, then you're eating meat full of seed oil garbage and then humans eat that meat.

    • @Bigups5ify
      @Bigups5ify 17 годин тому

@@fierengen1 I'm pretty confident In N Out does NOT use grass fed beef so people are consuming possibly bad meat, as in seed oils in their diet. Doesn't mean eating there sparingly does anything to your body, but just an observation. People literally go to In N Out and other fast food spots and get their 'protein style" and think they're eating healthy. Can't be healthy if it's not truly grass fed meat.
I'll take my ZERO research on In N Out meat sourcing as a matter of fact and chance it. I'll let you tell me if I'm wrong haaa

The only thing to watch out for on carnivore is dairy. If you stick to just meat, you will drop weight effortlessly, but dairy can stall progress and even cause you to gain weight.
It will take some time to get here for someone new to the diet, but I now eat a big meal once at night and it carries me over until the next evening.

One great thing about ground beef is how convenient it is to prepare, and you can make enough to last for several days. It's also quite filling. I like buying the 5% fat version and adding my own fats, like mayonnaise or olive oil. I find that this results in better-quality meat, especially compared to burgers that might vary more in quality.

I’ve been chronically skinny my entire life, heaviest I’ve ever been was 182lbs by the end of basic training because i was force fed 3 meals a day from the fat- i mean food pyramid.
I have a poor appetite, i struggle to get daily nutrition in and to make matters worse, resistance training makes me sick to my stomach, especially if a bowl movement is on it’s way down.
I’ve researched the cause, I’ve tried dietary changes and supplements, i’ve been strictly eating clean for years and nothing’s changed. I constantly feel lethargic and all i ever want to do is sleep, but i struggle to sleep at night.
Anyone know what the hell is wrong with me?

First step is to see what your labs show. Have you gotten your levels checked lately? I was skinny in Basic Training back in 1987, and the drill sergeant forced me to buddy up with a "chubby" girl and eat her food in addition to mine - dreadful! I hated going to the mess hall! I am still thin, fit but lean. I hope you find answers to your health concerns. ❤

I was trying to go vegan last year. Regatdless of the supplements (which my body doesnt absorb very wll) i ended up at the hospital on a iron iv (the tablets didnt work) i was so weak, black circles under my eyes, and i could not stay awake true the day. I respect everyone and all animals but it doesnt work for me. My iron levels were 3,8 i could barely stand on my feet. But once again this is the way my body responded. So now i am eathing meat again, my iron is still syck at 6,4. So still on tablets but at least i can stay awake till 8 at night

regarding the CLA. you definitely need to compile a video about the French CVD paradox ... which is history, because since the 1990ies they replace cheese by mcdonalds. French cheese (soft) is an important source of K2, B's (fungi), CLA and spermidine. For me, around 200-300g camembert per week is a must.
regarding iron: the first and main effect of sub-clinical iron deficiency is not about red blood cells, but about mitochondrial function, before RBC\-iron values get bad. Because iron is a double edged sword, and heme iron less so! - its regulation is complicated, and very tight. For instance, iron is used as a source of oxidative power against bugs in case of infections.

I've taken on eating minced beef, pork & chicken since you started talking about how good it is due to the collagen. Up to 5 nights per week. Low fat, only 5%. Fry it off in a teaspoon of coconut oil, chopping the meat into rough meatballs once the cooking firms up the meat, mixing in onions, sometimes a rasher or two of chopped bacon. Finally I pour in a can of crushed tomatoes and heat through. Play around with herbs & spices for various flavours. Great stuff.

MCTs mixed with red meat burger fats actually combine to put fat directly on the liver causing increased in fatty liver.... Just remember eating a lot of beef increases your methionine intake and decreases your longevity. Likewise, high levels of heme iron in the diet are associated with an increased risk of colon cancer. It's fine having a few meals a week but you are betting off cycling the types of protein you decide to eat, and consume vegetables/fruit as well. The problem with eating carnivore diets, is that you will find later on that it can mess with your hormones, especially if you go almost 0 carb and shun healthy vegetables and fruit. Humans by evolution are omnivores not lions and tigers which are carnivores.

Eggs and 80/20 ground meat is the foundation of my eating. I eat about 1-2lbs/day. I've gone from 33% to 17% bodyfat in 7mo. When counting macros, I feel kinda in the dark though. I drain off a significant amount of fat when cooking it and.... it loses a lot of water weight. So if I weigh cooked meat to eat a serving and count calories based on the label which is for raw meat, it's not very accurate for those two reasons. It's more dense in calories and protein because of all the water lost and has less fat because I drained a significant amount fat off.
Scouring the internet hasnt helped. Numbers are all over the place. Only solution I can see is to weigh the fat drained off and total weight before and after cooking to get a more accurate number. How do you handle this?
