Thanks for returning, with better than ever video quality. Much improved experience. I'd almost buy an iPhone for trying to be just as cool as you are but alas, droid it is. Eagerly awaiting news on droidsensei. And nice session as always.
Hi. I am 55 years old and i have lost my right leg. I can't do exactly the technic as you, it's harder then when i did hav 2 legs. But it's wery good cardio training.
Hi Eric. When you mention the chain not going in and out. Is it a feeling of the chain going down into the wheel on the recovery and then feeling like it's coming up and over a cog on the drive (if that makes sense)?
The feeling is so that people dont "go" to the catch , pause, then think about driving and so there is almost a stop. So if you think of more of an "around" motion, you'll find yourself rolling into the front, and feeling like you're going around the cog on the flywheel and picking it up through continuation, rather than the; in-stop-go again motion.
@@jlo1262 I'm no Olympian but my view is yes, thats right. If you are rowing on the water you dip your hands on the recovery (so that the blade exits the water), then you raise the oar handle at the catch (in order to get the blade back in the water). Same on the rowing machine except the dipping/raising is much less pronounced. I try and keep the handle largely on the same level on both recovery and drive, just a slightly lowering on the recovery
Welcome mate! We've missed you!
Finally got an erg at home and watched your video while rowing and all your queues make so much more sense while rowing with you! Thanks!!

Always interested to see what splits you are pulling, maybe a camera aimed at the monitor?
My splits mean nothing! Its all about you following the workout and listening to make your technique better
@@ericmurray-kiwipairindoorr2302 your splits give us something to chase, though - could be fun
His splits will be nothing but discouraging to most people
Not trying to sound stupid, but how are your feet placed in the rests? Is that the way they are supposed to be used or is it a personal thing? Cheers

Thanks. The front being the bottom and the back being the top I'm assuming?
