Ol' Charlie is looking down on you, smiling!
Nice playing bro. I would disregard the person's comment about Charlie not hitting a cymbal when playing the snare. Your eighth note timing on hi hats was nice and even and nice job on holding the time without stymying. That alone right there is challenge enough for us working on timing and holding the time without speeding up, slowing down, or uneven notes......your eighth note groove was smooth and had a good feel to it. That is another challenge for us is exhibiting feel.....you nailed all the rest. I learned a lot from you watching your cover to one of my most favourite songs by the stones. Thanks for posting and sharing your hard work. Cheers!
Great video! Thank you for posting this. I’m a beginner drummer and this was very helpful. This song is so fun to play.
Charlie, we will surely be miss you always and forever
Miss you Charlie. 🥁
Really goood!!
Love it👍
Very good. Can you record one without the music? Just the drums
Hi,
Good cover, but Charly Watts never played the hi-hat when he hit the snare ;)
Thanks man! Yeah, that's Charlie's thing, not mine. I like the hihat on the snare 😂
I love your cover, great playing and it sounds great.
After hearing it both ways though I have to say it sounds more unique with the no hi hat on snare hit.
I’m a guitar player, not a drummer by any stretch. Just curious as to it being harder to play that way or just not how you like to play it?
@@TheStinkysteve thanks man. Nah, the real reason is that I played it exactly as notated on the transcription for my students. Whoever transcribed it had hihat hits notated on the snares.
A ver una de Artic Monkeys :3
