  • Hey guys. Well, here it is! As promised, here is a quick tour of my welding rig. I was planning on showing a slideshow of the build process in an all in one video, however, it was becoming a bit overwhelming to try and squeeze in all the pictures and short video clips. I will be making a separate video collage from start to finish. I hope you enjoy the video, so kick back and let me know what you think. You may be surprised at how little tooling I actually carry. I look forward to hearing your comments. Thank you for your support.

Issac, on behalf of myself and a lot of other guys out there learning, thank you so much for the hard work that you do to keep our various industries productive. Operation and maintenance versus new construction is particularly demanding, because you're not dealing with "new" materials. A lot of times you're dealing with things that have been through the wringer. A lot of times folks are balancing the "right" fix versus a "budget" fix, because they have to put food on the table. For anyone that's lit a torch and tried to do the things you do, they'll know you're a metal miracle worker breathing new life into things that would otherwise be scrapped. We're lucky to have you as an example, because the bar is set so high, and you're willing to teach. With much appreciation for bringing us along - and for the time it takes to make these awesome videos.

I have had many trucks with utility beds. I always shopped around at pawn shops and garage sales and bought different brands of different sized tool boxes that had decent sliding drawers and just put the entire tool box in the different sized openings in the bed. One truck I had a certain size of Snap On side boxes in a particular spot behind doors they just barely fit through. But I'm a mechanic and if you don't want to spend all your time looking you have to have specific drawers for specific tools and like you said it helps prevent loss. So you might look around at Northern and Harbor Freight or the pawn shop and find something that fits well in the boxes you have made. I like it that your truck isn't a cookie cutter copy of a lot of the welding and pipeliner trucks you see everywhere. Congrats on the 100k and your award. 👍

I have a 2018 Ram 550 mechanic service, around 20,000 lbs. I am in northern calif. . I have mountains three three sides with canyons following river, creeks. Side to side stability was a issue, used "Super Spring" Summo that controlled the sway. So I thought if that was good I will put them on front axle, that didn't work out so good, almost put me in the other lane on a tight mountain curve.

There’s a lot of experience that went into how you have layer your truck out and put it together. There a lot to be learned on how you have done this project.

Here in Australia I run a small Hino truck, 6500kg gross weight, which is about 14 300lbs. I'm almost at max gross, and what a lot of people don't understand is that vehicles like ours are never unloaded. They are always heavy, and that is hard on them. Especially the suspension. I thoroughly enjoy your videos and look forward to your next one. Regards Greg

No comments except that I enjoy the devil out of your videos. Used to do similar work but way too old now. Watching your videos helps me remember the good times. Thank you, sir!!

Isaac once again spot on did a great job walk around the truck took you two or three bills to get everything you wanted keep up the great work keep up the great videos you’re very interesting man and very knowledgeable man I hope your son is savvy enough to understand your wisdom and your knowledge and hope he doesn’t think that his father doesn’t know anything I was last at three in the family my dad had a heart attack when I was four I was the machine and he was the motor and he taught me a lot about life before he left I was very fortunate to have my father as my dad and it’s my best friend he’s been gone almost 30 years and I can still see him saying to me I break something and walk up behind me and say how in the Christ did you manage to do that I’d love to hear it one more time take care keep up the great work drunk man do
