He has a business and life to attend too, although we enjoy his videos we are not that important in life. His family and business take priority over our enjoyment of his skill set so just appreciate what you get when he has time.
This type of repair is like an iceberg. The finish welds look like some easy passes that shouldn't take any time. What's not seen is the thought that goes into "how the heck am I going to fix this". Followed by the "sneaking up on the fit up". Then, the final prep and holding everything in place. Yeah, then, just sew it up. Isaac makes it look just so easy. The man is a true artist. A sculptor chips away what isn't the final piece. A welder has to chip even more away and then replace the material removed. Artistry, I say, artistry!
I’ve said before that I think Isaac has to have some engineering background. I’ve seen videos where he improves on the original design, so the failure can’t happen again. That’s more than skill. That’s using his brain.
I remember that young Assistant, way back before he could sprout facial hair.. It's amazing how time has flown! He looks to be an upstanding young man Issac! Congratulations!
Kurtis, for the most part, does only two things: line boring and hydraulic cylinders - mostly for the mining industry. It's a highly regulated environment with only a small handful of metal workers that have the equipment to do it, niche industry. Commercial equipment has to be maintained in almost 'like new' condition, this means repairing stuff that would otherwise have years of service life left in it. It's not surgery though, it's dull repetition, the same thing all day, every day. He is opinionated, this makes him popular on youtube, but it doesn't make him good.
@@nohandleleft Huh? Are you serious? "Kurtis, for the most part, does only two things: line boring and hydraulic cylinders " Seriously? You've never seen him weld? You've never seen him fabricate? You must've missed a lot. Both Issac and Kurtis are masters in what they do. And they both respect each other's work. I do too.
I've been welding for over 20 years now nd everytime i watch you working it's like going back to school. Your flame cuts always look awsome and so are your welds.
you always get the tough jobs because you are good at what you do and when you do a job you always make sure that it doesn't breakdown and cause more problems for you and your customer
That repair is PROPER, Isaac!👍👍. Prep and execution, dress right dress. Your videos should be part of instruction in all welding and apprenticeship programs. Can’t say students will be the same caliber as you, but it will sure give them the training model to strive for in the field! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
When Isaac says "I'm not saying this is how to do it, it's how I'm going to do it" you should pay attention. I pick up stuff from his videos all the time on how to approach challenges, devise a plan, and execute it and know when good enough is good enough.
Fast forward through the cutting?! That's like telling the med student to fast forward through the cutting part of a surgery "how to" video! 😁 Awesome repair! Thanks for sharing.
I thought maybe you would start with the mig flux core and then switch over to 70-18. Those were pretty tight bevels and not a lot of base material. Again, you showed us that slow and steady is the best approach.
I'm pretty sure his son does! He gets to watch the "metal magician" pull the rabbit out of the hat every day! That young man is Blessed to have a great dad & teacher so close in his life & he is taking advantage of that special blessing! Kudos to them both! Amen?
You have just the right touch for cutting and gouging and making the neatest welds. I’m pretty sure that if anything breaks again, your weld will hold up better than the original steel. Good work! 🥸👍👀👋✅❗️
As usual that is some very excellent work especially the precise torch cuts been doing this kind of work for 50 years and haven't seen it done any better including by me
This is one of the best videos ever. I love learning by watching and listening to you. Dad, son, and sometimes your father, makes your videos so special. Thank you for sharing this with us.
I m so glad you re back I related to much to the anger after getting grease on the gloves... we all know the pain brother keep up the good work and thanks for sharing all the best to you and your family
Personally I love watching the torch work, but I also think it's important to show the weld prep on top of the welding itself, because as this video shows it really is half the work.
It'll never get old just how steady your hands are. You're a veritable metal surgeon. Meanwhile, when i cut... it's like i have the caffeine shakes. :))
Nice to see the CEE sticker on the inside of your tool door @23:04. Kurtis would be proud. I've seen him wear one of your hats in his video. Two of the best metalworkers on UA-cam! Greetings from Australia. 👍
I have missed your videos !!! Very nice repair.....excellent work !! And 20min of cutting there's nothing wrong with that I would take 30 mins of cutting 🤣🤣 !! Very nice welds as always !!! Come back soon ....can't wait to see what your working on next !!! 👍👍
You sir have laser like Precision with that torch. We are so blessed to be able to bring our children to work with us.These will be some of the best moments and memories yall will have I know some of my best times is with my father.
Wow! Broke this in hot weather is insane. We got stuff like this northern alberta and canada due very cold weather but this is first. Thanks expose job done again.😊
Issac leaving the real time cutting in there is actually very helpful. no need to speed through the 20 minutes. it's all good. glad you are well. love these videos.
When they only call you for the bigger and more difficult repairs is when you charge accordingly. 👍 I have a few customers who use me to do the difficult repairs that others don’t want to mess with. I’ll do them with the understanding that if they’re looking for “cheap” then I am not their guy.
We rarely repair these types of things with out line boring it and sleeve the pin hole put when we do i always weld it about like you did then old guy i worked with for years Lee he was a Hellva hand taught before u remove the back strap place holder run the rosebud over the hole thing and stress relieve it and the pin will always fit back in nice then remove the back strap
Howdy Isaac and son! Hope y'all have been well and are looking forward to some great holidays! I like how you explained why you chose those lines to cut along to stick it back together and it makes sense both not wanting to add unnecessary welding time but making sure you have developed access to the root fully. Well done, sir. 👍🏻
Issac I worked with a very capable offshore welder years ago who answered the phone / page system with " metal surgeon here"! Well without deriding him at all I know who I would want putting my leg back on :-)
The man is a damn surgeon with a gas axe. I don't know of anyone on UA-cam that cuts nicer with a torch!!!
its not his first rodeo ?
Lots of people with lots of time using a cutting torch aren’t anywhere near that precise.
Kurtis from CEE does a great job with a torch and gouge setup.
Main thing is a steady hand
I was thinking that very thing. Absolutely clinical.
Always a good day when a IC weld pops up to show everyone what a true welder looks like. Truly a master at his craft
Between IC Weld and Kurtis at CEE nobody is close to them.
Fast forward? No way!, It is a pleasure to watch an artist with a torch work!
My thoughts, exactly.
That's what we are here for, just to watch his magic happen!
Took the words right out of my mouth! Seriously! I could watch his torch work for hours and let's not forget arc gouging!
Isaac, there is too much time between your videos! There are only 4 or 5 sites that I really look forward to, and yours is one of them.
I totally agree
Well now there are 2 of us who look forward to Issac’s videos, I’m just glad that I’m not alone
Working on it! Just been super busy.
A man with your talents we can only imagine how busy you could be . I'll bet your son will be as busy as you are .
He has a business and life to attend too, although we enjoy his videos we are not that important in life. His family and business take priority over our enjoyment of his skill set so just appreciate what you get when he has time.
That idea with the nut to reclaim the tapped hole was a nifty trick .
I have over 30 years welding, but I would still love to hang around Issac for a couple months. He is full of tricks on repairing equipment
"I'm here because you broke something" on the welding helmet. A more perfect message I cannot imagine. nice
I know right. Couldn't have said it better myself.

Yeah , it's mostly about the prep and customers can't see and don't like paying for prep. But it is what it is !
I’ve said before that I think Isaac has to have some engineering background. I’ve seen videos where he improves on the original design, so the failure can’t happen again. That’s more than skill. That’s using his brain.

Yes, I agree with you, the most important work a man can do is within the walls of his own home.
I feel like I remember Isaac being a lot less grey when I started watching.
This is what master craftsmanship looks like. It’s watching an artist create. Amazing!
Curtis at CEE does surgery in a state of the art hospital while Isaac is like a MASH unit doing surgery in the field. Kudos to both!
Haha. thats funny!

@@nohandleleft No need to knock Kurtis. He is a very skillful machinist and fabricator.
I was thinking the very same thing. Both are awesome in their different environments and do fantastic work.
You sir do some fine work. Boe
I've been welding for over 20 years now nd everytime i watch you working it's like going back to school. Your flame cuts always look awsome and so are your welds.
Excellent job good sir! Awesome seeing your son out there working right along side you.
Bless EXCELLENT video. When a master is at work, one should never fast forward any part of the video. Thanks 😊
Only one word to describe him GENIUS
you always get the tough jobs because you are good at what you do and when you do a job you always make sure that it doesn't breakdown and cause more problems for you and your customer
The POV, is insane. It’s like I’m welding 👌🏽
6549 rods later..all is good !
I cant weld worth a damn...but I, like many , are addicted to this channel...
One of the best portable setups I have seen anywhere. Great job.
Your Videos are always worth the wait. You are a wizard with the torch.
That repair is PROPER, Isaac!👍👍.

An artist with the smoke wrench and stick! I hope your son realizes what a blessing you are giving him by teaching such a valuable trade!
*I C Weld* Bravo well done, thank-you sir for taking the time to bring us along. GOD Bless.

"Better to sneak up on it than go past it".... wise statement
Fast forward through the cutting?! That's like telling the med student to fast forward through the cutting part of a surgery "how to" video! 😁 Awesome repair! Thanks for sharing.
Bro you say not bad but I say you are professional. I enjoyed that ❤😊👏🇮🇷
I thought maybe you would start with the mig flux core and then switch over to 70-18. Those were pretty tight bevels and not a lot of base material. Again, you showed us that slow and steady is the best approach.
Now my Sunday is perfect thanks to Issac
You are one talented man. Love the no nonsense delivery. Thanks from the UK.
Always a pleasure to watch you restore a machine that started out so, so broken. Best of You Tube!
This guy is simply awesome. I know there are many many good welders out there but this guy is just top notch!
What a talent! Nice to see the true art of wielding & craftsmanship. I hope that you are teaching someone the true art of cutting and welding!
Wonder if his son, appreciates the opportunity he has been given to learn from one of the best
I'm pretty sure his son does! He gets to watch the "metal magician" pull the rabbit out of the hat every day! That young man is Blessed to have a great dad & teacher so close in his life & he is taking advantage of that special blessing! Kudos to them both! Amen?
Fantastic job in difficult conditions. Love watching precision gas cutting. And awkward stick welding.
I love the part where Isaac says "it's worn out anyway " he's always making the best of a minor disaster ! Well played sir.
Olá amigos mais um trabalho feito com perfeição!!!
Boa sorte sempre!!!
Gracias amigo
You have just the right touch for cutting and gouging and making the neatest welds. I’m pretty sure that if anything breaks again, your weld will hold up better than the original steel. Good work! 🥸👍👀👋✅❗️

keep up the good work and thanks for sharing
all the best to you and your family
I really like that little table extension your working off of, that is a great little addition!! i will be building something similar for sure !!
Thanks. I just made it out of scrap.
One of the first things I was taught about using a torch when shutting it off was - A before O or up you go. Great video's, as always.
Always worth the wait for an IC Weld video. I always pick up something of value from you. Thank You.
Personally I love watching the torch work, but I also think it's important to show the weld prep on top of the welding itself, because as this video shows it really is half the work.
Isaac always put together interesting and creative videos a reflection of years of practical experience!
Not a welder, and at my age, I will never be one. But fascinating, on so many levels, to see how you work. Thanks.
Totally amazing . It's always a pleasure to see this guy in action .
It'll never get old just how steady your hands are. You're a veritable metal surgeon. Meanwhile, when i cut... it's like i have the caffeine shakes. :))
Same, I can't even get two pencil lines to meet up.
As someone who got to go yo work with my dad and learn his craft, its awesome to see that IC weld Jr wants to follow in your footsteps.
Man you can burn rod! I learn something every time I watch.
Hands like a surgeon with that torch. Steady and accurate.
Happy Thanksgiving from Kip H. and family p.s. thanks for your videos it helps my son with his welding skills.
Nice to see the CEE sticker on the inside of your tool door @23:04. Kurtis would be proud. I've seen him wear one of your hats in his video. Two of the best metalworkers on UA-cam! Greetings from Australia. 👍

Mate. You are a genius ,especially reclaiming the threaded hole with a nut . Another cool trick I have to remember .
You sir have laser like Precision with that torch. We are so blessed to be able to bring our children to work with us.These will be some of the best moments and memories yall will have I know some of my best times is with my father.

Everyone: "That's fuct! Gotta buy another one." Isaac: "Hold my torch"
That weldment wouldn’t look bad for a computer controlled robotic weld either!😂🤣🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼Awesome work as always Isaac!!
Спасибо за Ваши видео, всегда смотрю с интересом. Привет из России!
Glad you’re back on doing the video. Haven’t see lately on you tube. Remember welders do it all positions 👍
Issac leaving the real time cutting in there is actually very helpful. no need to speed through the 20 minutes. it's all good. glad you are well. love these videos.
Nice field repair Isaac. Good to see the young fella still there with you.
Speed up? nope, good torch work is a pleasure to watch bud..
Nice to see you post again, and a 45 minute video at that! I'm settling in , time to learn something and have fun doing it :)
Glad you liked it!
Isaac is the most skilled person I've seen with a torch in his hands! Amazing what he can do with gas.
When they only call you for the bigger and more difficult repairs is when you charge accordingly. 👍 I have a few customers who use me to do the difficult repairs that others don’t want to mess with. I’ll do them with the understanding that if they’re looking for “cheap” then I am not their guy.
the sticker on your welding helmet says it all "I'm here because you broke something "!!
😁 Yup, that pretty much sums it up!
This was a cool video, the bent welding rod got me, I have never seen that done but i am not a welder, Thanks.
Another quality job by a hard working American.
This is a GREAT tip about the stress relieving! I learned to do it the hard way.
i could watch you do torch work all day. i wish i was half as good haha
If only my torch skills were half as good as Isaac!! Love watching him cut
Cheese N Rice! That was some art right there. Love it brother!
Amazing repair guys!
Excellent work as always Isaac! You should introduce us to your son - he seems to be a very bright and helpful lad!
Hello from San Antonio, TEXAS! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family when it comes along!
Always amazing work. Thanks for sharing Isaac.
Хорошая работа! Грамотно ...мастер...привет из России !
Also good job on the videoing portion by your son, you guys make a good team.
Issac I worked with a very capable offshore welder years ago who answered the phone / page system with " metal surgeon here"! Well without deriding him at all I know who I would want putting my leg back on :-)
😄😄😄
Considering how challenging that was, a job bloody well done.😁🍻🏴
No wonder they call you on the complex jobs. You make it look simple, great outcome.
Looks good. Hopefully it doesn't close up when the strap comes off. 😊 Thanks for another awesome video!
I was just thinking of you this morning, hoping you'd put out a video soon because I hadn't seen one in a while. And, here we are! Thanks, Isaac.
Fascinating to see what is possible as a field welder, well done.
So glad you're posted again, was getting worried. Really enjoy the content
Every time I see you run that torch I’m amazed 🎉
Awesome, thank you for sharing, great project, i learn a lot, great teacher and your explanation are awesome 👍👍👍👍
Great to see another video. Happy Thanksgiving to you and family!
It is excellent to see a new video from you. Glad to see that everything is good with you. God bless you and everyone you love.
IC weld dropped a video time to grab some popcorn 🍿
That is a legitimate repair ! Fantastic skill! Thank you for sharing!
Nothing but the finest skill sets and your torch work is outstanding as usual. Have missed your programs!! Stay Safe!
That is some beautiful welding Isaac..
Happy Thanksgiving!!! 🦃Awesome little project. Thanks for the show 👏
