Oh boy something affordable.
Yesh!!!
Finally, an actual budget pen display tablet. I'll try to get one myself if I save up enough
I made an animation on my channel....Check it
YAAAAASSS
And it's actually good
@@j.o.e.h.p Is it working great for you? I really wanna know
I really enjoyed the drawing you were working on in this vid. Something about your line work was strangely satisfiying.
1:58 that dot though
Lol!!
haha, noticed it too. There are even two. (another one is by the eyebrow)
He was trying to make a point. xD
My sweaty wet paws will be enough friction XD
is this a jojo reference?
Brad said it best, this tablet is worth your money if you're looking for something affordable. I just bought this one too and quite honestly, I was hesitant in picking this up because of the non matte screen protector on it, surprisingly you still get your control when drawing on it and it is by no means slippery, every pros and cons are all mentioned by Brad, great review. You guys better pick this up while it has a discount, it'll expire by the end of the month, so instead of 250, you guys can buy it for around 210. No brainer of a purchase!
Red Cucumber can this be used without a computer / on its own?
Tori Holliday nope
Does the table still working great?
@@akarirei I had to return mine because of a screen defect.
Red Quisumbing oh no. So what brand are you using right now?
Lol i was thinking "damn that's small" and didnt even realize my current tablet is only 8 inches. You made them a sale. Good video 🍻
i’ve been watching you for a decent amount of time and on top of your great reviews watching your art evolve and improve has been really fun to watch
Thank you! im a young artist so it’s hard to find cheap good stuff like this! Thank u again!
*"It's their standard stand that they tend to send"*
My brainn
I'm using an old laptop cooler as stand for the tablet (trust cyclone) and it works pretty well! 50 bucks saved YAY
MY TONGUE
I just want to say thank you, becasue of you I got into wanting a tablet, and now I have one from your reviews! Thanks!!
Awesome! thanks.
This is the tablet I’ve bought and it’s worked so well for me! I’m not an advanced artist at all but it suits my needs perfectly at my beginner-intermediate level and I feel like it’s going to be enough for me for a very long time.
3:58 "It's your standard stand, Stan. Understand man?"

ur welcome
@@PrestonCoC Thanks man.
Its their standart stand that they SENT to me,Stan underSTAND.
DO YOU UNDERSTAAAAAAAAANDDDDO?
@@Daxter609 It's Incredible how we, the jojofans' brains work in a way that we're constantly trying to find a reference in each word we hear
Extremely clear, precise and helpful review!
My cintiqu 13 is acting questionable lately but I can't really afford to replace it, so I've been looking for cheaper options and saw this little dude! Very impressed and excited to try it out if my cintiqu goes-- thanks again!
I'm getting this drawing tablet in the mail tomorrow, and I'm so happy to hear it is a solid entry level choice.
How is it
I just ordered this before you did a review (It was a leap of faith :) and I trust XP pen ) and I now eagerly await for its arrival. Originaly was going to get the Kamvas 13 but saw your review on it and the wavy line issue it had.
Got it for my 17 birthday last week. It'a amazing to use :)
Finally you reviewed this I have been waiting for this forever those 2 dislikes don't have the $250 to buy this haters
Thanks for this review; I've been looking for a new graphics tablet and you've sold me on this one.
Thank you for giving an honest review!!!! This helps my decision so much
I'm thinking of getting this as my first drawing tablet so this was super helpful thank you!
I think I'm getting this as my first tablet, it looks good
thanks
Omg the flying pen animation cracked me up so much 😂
That looks really good and really affordable. A little bit small but for that price, I‘ll definitely consider it especially because of the eraser at the back :D
U gae
Mo jo no stop
a bit small for the price? for one its a display tablet and two a 13 inch cintiq is 800$
@@flare3241 you might want to read their comment again lol, they didn't mean it like that. It's actually exactly how I feel about it too.

As always, great review, Brad! I’m just waiting for when these Wacom competitors create screens that rival Wacom’s newer ones.
Earned yourself a sub! Awesome straight to the point review look forward to watching and learning more from you :D
I managed to get this at a reduced price of £170 and I cant wait to use it to start hopefully making a portfolio thank you for the great review
Just ordered this bad boy for photo editing. I can't wait to get it in.
I'm actually waiting to buy this tablet, I fell in love after hearing about it. I'm just curious, about the battery-free pen, did anyone notice any difference after a long time of using? Does it ever run out? Or get a bit laggy? Is there any fix for it?
Im buying it for my birthday im so FRIKIN EXCITED
Wanted to say this review helped me decide between the artist 12 and the 15.6(standard version, was on sale for just a bit more) and I'm loving everything about it. Great review and I'd like to ask for an XP-Pen Deco 02 review. It uses the same pen as the artist 12 and I'm curious to learn if it performs anything like it.
Im buying this for Christmas! im so excited
Great review. You hit all of the points that I was interested in. I know it's a bit old at this point but I'm just entering the arena so I think it's a perfect jumping point. Just purchased using your affiliate link.
I just got this and I’m so excited to try it out.
Cheers for this review :D so keen to grab one for xmas
Informative and entertaining as always! ✌🏾😁
They have recently come out with the Artist 12 pro. That one is laminated and I plan on getting it soon! :)
Looks like I’m getting this one ! THANK U
hey man, thanks for that review which shows the stability of the line I ve searching for . As your experience shall I choose xp pen artist 12 or huion kamvas pro 13 .I want use it for lineart for comics and manga
Finally I ordered this one. budget friendly is the main reason and based on your review it still does the thing. Thank you Sir for helping people make decision!
Thanks a lot for your videos Sir, I just discovered your channel some days ago and your reviews really helped me getting a clearer image of all these good Wacom alternatives and their pros + cons
good quick review. i'm gonna get mine in a couple of days and got it for less than $200
Hey Brad, thanks for the review, I am looking at picking up this tablet.
Do you know if it's possible to connect with a C to C cable?
That would put it over the top for me, since my 2 monitors already take up my HDMI and displayport ports.
Very nice, bought my first tablet about a month and a half ago (I think) and it didn't take as long to get used to it as I was afraid it might. I'm enjoying this thing, and so glad I didn't have to pay out the wazoo for it.
Awesome work! Looking forward to see more :)
I just started learning to draw and was hoping to get a starter graphic screen to learn.
And to some extent, I am hoping to use the graphic monitor to help me practise some drawing like tracing some "forms" of lines to get used to it.
I am currently looking at both the Artist12 and Artist 15.6 and I am not sure which to go:
15.6 being bigger have the slight problem of wobble that many people say but i am not sure how much it will affect me, Artist12 seems better with the lines but the size and also whether if it works with the Clip Studio Paint as well.
Do you think you can advise me on this?
Artist 12 pro was nice for me but gonna return it THIS LOOK FREAKING NICE
I was waiting for your review
Is it possible to use the artist 12 display as a stand alone monitor? My computer only has 1 HDMI port. Would really appreciate an answer!
Glossy goood love it, will definitely check this one out
I had bought an XP-Pen Artist 10s v2 10.1” tablet. It was in one sense an amazing tablet. I prefer a smaller form factor. I gave up drawing on my 21” cintiq and have been primarily drawing on my ipad. But the actual drawing pressure was completely off. It felt like I was carving into wood. At the end of two hours of fighting utterly terrible drivers, I realized that there was no end in sight. I watched you effortlessly draw lines and it entices me to try this model out. But considering that you’re on Mac, not Windows I am hesitant to think the experience will be much different. The windows drivers seem to use something called Windows Ink and the drivers have little customization. I saw reviews talking about how terrible the drivers were but the price point got me in, and I got burned. Would love to know more about any experiences of this in windows and specifically Photoshop! Thanks.
hey i wanted to buy this tablet so im watching reviews... on amazon it says that it comes with an HDMI to USB or mini HDMI adaptor and you didn't show it in your review. so did the adaptor come with the tablet or do i have to buy one
hey Brad! did you ever have issues installing the drivers? I went to the site and downloaded the right driver, but I keep getting errors saying that it can't detect my tablet :\ Thanks!
This was really helpful. Thank you
Hey! Great video. I’ve the same tablet but my monitor is 1440, so in the tablet I don’t see good. May be is cause the tablet is 1080p?
Looking at getting one of these, but to cut a long story short, my PC is plugged into a TV on the opposite side of the room (I'm disabled, so traditional set ups aren't going to work) are these cables extendable, or could that cause horrible lag or image quality issues?
So, I picked up one of these and so far quite like it! But I'm struggling with my Photoshop. Does anyone know how to make all Photoshop dialog boxes open on the same screen Photoshop is actually running on? When I go to open a new document or use the eyedropper tool or do anything that opens a new dialog box, the dialog box opens on my main monitor, not the Artist 12 screen where Photoshop is. Thanks.
Great review. Quite interested. Am a bit worried of comments on other forums saying the pen scratches the screen. Did you encounter this? Is it something that was happening but have been fixed? Do you have any comments on this?
I really need help, I did everything you showed but when I put it on extend, and use the pen on the tablet, the cursor disappears from my laptop. Also when I try to open something with the tablet, it only shows on my laptop screen. I have tried looking at the manual too but nothing seems to be helping. I am very worried because I saved up a lot of money for this and I don’t want it to be a waste
I currently use a Wacom Intuos on CSP and I'm keen on using a display tablet. Is this a really good entry level display tablet or is that better ones that are as affordable? Or should I stick to my intuos instead?
Can I use it for my primary display. I really like to do all work on a single display( although I have another monitor, but will move that out of the desk). Because I like to make things simple and Compact. That's why planning to make this display for all of my work with pc. Will it be fine for that?
Would this be a good first pen display? Ive used tablets without displays before but i'm not so sure if this is worth the cost. How bad is the parallax?
Brad, do i have to buy an individual software for this tablet and also I only have a chrome book so DO I need to buy an individual drawing software or does it work with any. Also can I use it with an iPad if I have the right cables
do you know where I can get the connector (not cable) for the xp-pen 16.5?
I have a question, can you put your hand in the display while drawing like if was a piece of paper, is not going to draw othe places? Please i need to know before buying one
So what would you recommend more? The huion kamvas 13 or this cup pen 12?
i was wondering about this tablet. And I trust this review.
love the comic animations!
Hey Brad, I love your channel and would love some advice please - Is this screen tablet worth buying over a normal medium size non screen tablet - It's my birthday soon and I'm torn between the £70 huion med size tablet or going all in and getting this screen tablet - are the benefits far superior? I'm a wacom user currently, but my bamboo small size tablet is just 'too small' - my main screen is a 27 inch. Any advice greatly appreciated.
tell me :Should I buy this xp pen or should I go for the Huion Kamvas pro 12.
sorry I have only tried Wacom and Artisul so I don't know please heeeelppp
Artisul has a new "D13 S" pen display. I hope you can cover that soon because I am seriously considering it.
I'm really thinking about getting this now
Hi there! Quick question, I am textile designer and I draw a lot digitally, usually work with Adobe Photoshop/Corel Draw. Do you think this is a good match for me? Or is Huion Kamvas Pro 12 a better match? I'm kinda lost here
is the small screensize making you think the wobble is small??? im having this video on my bigger monitor and when you drew those lines it did not make me feel the wobble was not so much noticable. damn
I bought it can’t wait!!!
Great review, settled my reservations
Hello! Can I use the new stylus pen PA2 with the older model of xp-pen 12? Thank you!
I got that tablet but I have problems with the connecting.. Somehow the settings are mixed up D:
I know they are not apples and apples but do you think it is better to go with this or the wacom intuos pro m? As they are on the same price range
All i have to say is thank you for the review. Im getting myself one tommorrow and i was really worried because it was cheap and not a wacom nor a huion tablet but after seeing this i know now that i made a good choice for my first screen tablet. +1sub
Amazing Review!!!
Grats on 100k subs :)
Would I be better off buying this one or the Artist Pro 13.3?
do you need to hook it up to a computer to draw on it or can you draw wireless?
I just got the Kamvas 13 not too long ago, but I still like watching your tablet reviews every now and then! I like the new animations you've added, and the gray and yellow color scheme.
Would you consider reviewing the Samsung Notebook 9 pro? It has Wacom EMR technology and I've watched a couple of reviews boasting about how great its drawing capabilities are, but it's one of those devices that isn't as well known as something like the Surface Pro. Comes with a built in pen, too.
Do you have the same problem as many people have with the Kamvas 13 that the lines aren't straight if you draw slowly.
Marit Mesi I believe there is a driver update already, OP had a video about it you can look it up. Have a nice day.
I’m really new to this digital drawing stuff but I’m really hoping to get it so I can translate some of my art from paper to digital. I just have a quick question; do I need some pre-installed software on my laptop, like Photoshop or something like that? Or can I just buy this, plug it in and draw on it?
I just purchased the xp-pen artist 12 this weekend. All of my software is working great except for Photoshop cc 2019. There is no pressure sensitivity whatsoever on it. Does anyone have any advise or are going through the same issue?
Hi Would you recommend a XP Pen Artist 12 or a Huion Pro 12 for a budding 11-year old animator :) ? I know they are #1 and #2 on your list. Any reason why I should be going with the Huion in your opinion? TIA
I have a question? Do you have to plug these type of things into a computer or pc or can I just plug it into my phone or?
Helo Brad, could you please tell us what software are you using for straightening your lines? Thank you ! :)
How does it connect to your PC Through a USB or does it require a free HDMI port?
This is probably a dumb question, (I'm looking into getting my first drawing tablet, so I'm a noob in this kind of thing) but can you connect it to your amazon tablet or do you HAVE to connect it to a computer?
can i ask which is better, Huion kamvas 13 or Xp pen 12. please i need some professional advice
So I just set up my Artist 12 and for whatever reason whenever I open Krita (an app for drawing tablets) it'll open up on my computer's monitor but not on the screen of the actual tablet itself. The screen just stays on home screen and the mouse icon is there but it won't display Krita while the computer does. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Hi I’m knew at all this stuff I’m trying to find a good one of these but I don’t have a computer I really like the look of this and I want to get it but with this, can I connected it to my iPad? If you answer thank you so much😁
Wait are you using pro create if so how because I tried and it was only available on iPad
This really helped. Thanks!
I might actually consider this one. Most other display are way too expensive, I got a used ipad pro with pen a few months back but I still wanna be able to use sai. I'm tempted to wait for a bigger xp pen tablet that features the new pen though. Battery free is important to me. Luckily I'm in no rush.
I just ordered mine. I have been making art for about a year and a half, all in real life. This will be my very first digital version of art. I'm hoping i can make good things :)
Do you like it?
hi how does the battery free pen work? do you need to charge it or?
As of now is the tablet still working fine since your reviews, any changes since then?
Thanks, asking since I am planning to purchase one. Very interested and looks like a good size for my space availability.
can't afford a cintiq, but even this at $245 is still money I can't afford to waist is the product is no good.
the artist 12 PRO just released and i would like for your to upload an updated version of this review. The tablet is VERY new so i could not find any reviews. I've been stalling to buy the artist 12 but now that the pro version came out, i was confused on what to buy, the new tablet is "improved", as the company says but maybe it has some bugs and defects the old version did not have.
I have this drawing tablet and I love it.
