I hope they watch it and take time to fix issues as you are blessing them with a way to put out a truly amazing artist component. Ergo adding risers is easy and making buttons more pronounced is also easy fixes. And would lend to over all better feel and review . Simple but smart .

I currently have an artist 12 pro from xp-pen and they fixed a good deal if issues! They added a stand that can tilt up to ~60 degree angle, give or take and they changed the scroller to a circle and firmer so that it doesn’t interfere with what you’re doing. The button on the side of the pen also sticks out now so that’s a plus and they fixed the color coordination! Definitely recommend the tablet

I bought this tablet about a year ago, so I thought I'd share some of my thoughts on it. It's a really good tablet in general, great pen pressure and never glitches. It does, however, have some cons I found the little scroller thing on the side would only zoom out and not in, but that wasn't too bad. What really sucked to me was all the replacements I had to make. So far, I've had to replace the cord twice or three times now, and considering each replacement is $20, It got fairly expensive, especially considering the tablet is marketed as relatively inexpensive for a screen tablet. Recently, I've also had the problem of the pen not working. Not the nib, but the pen just isn't being recognized. I don't know what happened, and I can't find any replacements on Amazon as of the time I'm writing this. I'm sure if I contact their customer support things will work out, but as of right now I don't plan on keeping the tablet so it seems unnecessary. So over all review? It's a great tablet, wonderful for drawing, but ends up being much more expensive than what you pay up-front. I'd recommend it to anyone interested in digital art, if sticking to a strict budget isn't one of your concerns
Hummm let me fill some blanks there -The Digital Scroll DOES Zoom in and Out, I believe yours probably had a defect 1, you should have returned and request a new one. - Cord wear and tear, to warent a replacement, will depend on the user's care. I had mine for more than 2 years and never had any issues with the cord. - The pen not being recognized, even after switching nibs, implies, the only solution I found for this, to rotate your pen on itself, and usually it will pick up "pressure properly" again. (I believe this happens when u smack the screen to hard in said place) - Pressure wise, there is some issues, the fact it won't detect the softest of traces, until you actually apply some physical pressure to start detecting the input, this won't be an issue for newcomers, but as you get better, it will start to matter. - Another con to this tablet, is screen-tear, if you don't change the screen-protector layer it will start scratching. In my case, I just bought a iPad tempered glass and put on top of it where I draw the most, and it solved my issues. - Very uncommon issue, I found once, was having my screen kinda stuck with a ghost image. But this can be fixed by unplugging ur device from the USB cord and leave it sit for a pair of hours unplugged, and it will fix itself. Either way, totally very highly recommended beginner's tablet. But as someone who upgraded to a better model and had it break in 2 days, I can't recommend anything more expensive than this tablet from this company. Because it appears, they cheap out on important components like connectors and wires, and treating any tablet a bit rough will mean death on the gadget entirely. But for some reason, XP Artist12 actually can be handled roughly, plugged in and out while turned on and nothing will break.
I've had this tablet since March last year (near my birthday) and I love it^^ Being a graphic design major, using a mouse was murder on my wrist. But when I ordered my tablet, it made designing and art so much easier^^
@@RadicalGuy69 I had to replace it with the Artist 12 Pro. I made the mistake of wiping the screen with a moist towelette. It got scratches on it and I couldn't repair it. But all in all, the Artist 12 is a good tablet with a good price^^

This review is very good. I have one of these and for the price it is a brilliant buy, far cheaper than the Wacom models and the issues it has (ie very occasional pressure oddness and weird ergonomic choices) are not deal breakers. Recommended highly.

@@nyxicide There's a new firmware update that fixes a lot of it, I'm still waiting to get it but so far it hasn't been life ruining as long as you turn on pen smoothing, something most art programs have

i got this for christmas 2018. it worked great at first, and i was in love! but shortly after, the screen started malfunctioning and randomly shutting off. i figured it was the cord, so i bought a new one, but it turns out, it was the port! i had treated that tablet so well, so there was no reason it should have had hardware damage so soon. for the next few months, i just taped the cord in place to keep the screen working, and that was all fine and dandy, but now, not even that works. i've got a huion kamvas gt-191 coming in the mail as a replacement, not even after a full year of use. i got more use out of my $50 monoprice tablet than i did the xp-pen artist 12. it was lovely to receive as a gift, as i had been talking for a while about wanting to upgrade to a screen tablet, but i still can't recommend the product.
Depending on how old you are, you can actually get a job under 18. You can try freelancing, tutoring or being an influencer if you are 13 and over. But if you are under 13 you can try other things like asking your parents to let you start a UA-cam channel or you can even do manual labor like asking to help your neighbors around the house for money or other things like washing cars, shining shoes, drop-shipping, selling things you don’t need anymore, helping your friends or family and relatives with things for money, the list goes on. Just be creative :)
Another decent option if you're looking to get into screen tablets on the cheap cheap is to buy a used tablet PC off something like ebay. Lenovo and Fujitsu made a number of good convertible laptops in the early to mid 2010s which can be had in many cases for under $250. Just make sure you buy one with DX11 capable graphics chip as a lot of software these days requires it to run properly. I do most of my drawing on an older Thinkpad and its been a massive upgrade from working on a traditional tablet imo.
IMO Artist 12 is a best tablet from Xp-pen right now. They found a good balance of features to size and price with it. They need to improve their high end now, with either 1440p or 4k tablet or perharps portable art station, to compete with Ipad and Cintique Companion.

Bought the tablet last year so i thought I'd share my experiences I had to buy an extension because the cable wouldn't fit in my laptop The zoomer thing often didn't work Whenever i restarted my laptop i had to go back into the Programm and rearrange my hot keys It often doesn't work due to the faulty 3 in 1 cable (loose connection, no signal) Screen would often turn yellow/just stop displaying things (again due to the cable)
As to the problem of the tablet laying flat, it would be worth looking in pound shops or dimes shops for laptop support to raise to a more suitable level
I few years ago ~2-3 yrs my sister's boyfriend [then fiancée, now husband (they're happy together!)] gifted me his old bamboo wacom tablet with stylus(?) as a birthday gift. I was so happy (i still am) so i want to give him a tablet as a gift for being , sacrificing and loving my sister for about 7 years. Too bad i got no instagram and ain't planning to!

I am currently looking to move from my wacom bamboo tablet to a beginner screen tablet. I am currently torn between the Huion Kamvas 11 and 13 versions and this Xp Pen 11 you just reviewed. Any specific differences that you can point out between them and which one would you reccomend?
Can someone explain to me why drawing tablet companies can’t seem to get rid of parallax? Premium companies like Wacom have been making VERY expensive, industry leading tablets for decades now and they still have parallax. Yet the iPad Pro has none? The iPad Pro has amazing drawing capabilities (maybe not to the same extent as Wacom) but the virtually zero parallax makes it a strong choice for most digital artists these days. My point is.... why are drawing tablet companies still making tablets with parallax in 2018 when none artist based companies like Apple got rid of parallax pretty much as soon as they introduced a stylus pen to their tablets?
@@yokaiju8909 The lag that happens between the pen tip and the drawing cursor on the screen. It causes an effect where your strokes have to "catch up" to where you've already drawn.
i have a kamvas pro 22 and i don't notice any parallax at all - i'm not gonna use an ipad cos its processing power is nothing compared to a desktop with desktop apps
i dont care about that little parallax, more relevant is that the device is jitter free and why the iPad Pro has no parallax is because there is zero space between dispaly and glas.

I just got this tablet right before Christmas, I got the holiday edition so it was $200 instead of the regular $250, it's a huge improvement from my old Wacom intuos. Although, I don't use the wall port for power, if you've got a tower PC it should put out enough power so you wouldn't need the USB extension or wall plug.
I never owned a graphic tablet, I always drew on my phone with my finger but I really wanna get a graphic tablet :') (i hope that graphic tablets work with notebooks-)
I have a lot of trouble drawing on a regular drawing tablet, but I can't afford any expensive tablets with screens. I don't pay for my art programs normally, not because I'm cheap, but because I just don't have the money. The fact that this exists is a literal godsend. I originally was going to spend an extremely long time saving up on a more expensive tablet, meanwhile, I have no idea if it's even something I'm going to be capable of getting used to.

Just so people know, $200 is a really good price. Though $200 is a lot, buying a Wacom display tablet, will run you more than double the price of this tablet. I haven't really checked the prices of Wacom display tablet, however I would estimate that there cheapest display tablet is around $800.

I love this tablet, just got mine last night. It also uses some Wacom Stylus. The quality of this product is amazing. I was surprised
I am rly good at drawing..my family is too poor for this. I hope when I become 18 to get a job and buy myself this. Beautiful piece.
Depending on how old you are, you can actually get a job under 18. You can try freelancing, tutoring or being an influencer if you are 13 and over. But if you are under 13 you can try other things like asking your parents to let you start a UA-cam channel or you can even do manual labor like asking to help your neighbors around the house for money or other things like washing cars, shining shoes, drop-shipping, selling things you don’t need anymore, helping your friends or family and relatives with things for money, the list goes on. Just be creative :)

They do make a display thing for it to have it tilted up but it's separate from the tablet and is about $50

Another decent option if you're looking to get into screen tablets on the cheap cheap is to buy a used tablet PC off something like ebay. Lenovo and Fujitsu made a number of good convertible laptops in the early to mid 2010s which can be had in many cases for under $250. Just make sure you buy one with DX11 capable graphics chip as a lot of software these days requires it to run properly. I do most of my drawing on an older Thinkpad and its been a massive upgrade from working on a traditional tablet imo.

IMO Artist 12 is a best tablet from Xp-pen right now. They found a good balance of features to size and price with it.
They need to improve their high end now, with either 1440p or 4k tablet or perharps portable art station, to compete with Ipad and Cintique Companion.

Very brilliant tablet review! as I posted on your latest post on Instagram I can definitely see myself getting used to this entry level tablet that you have suggested I do agree with your opinion on the Pin and the option for putting a blue strip of tape to quickly locate the button was Indeed a good idea I believe some type of light bar on the buttons being a different color would’ve been much easier for the users to find the buttons when needed Thanks again for the review Mikey! oh and by the way I definitely sip some tea while watching this video it was very good!

Bought the tablet last year so i thought I'd share my experiences
I had to buy an extension because the cable wouldn't fit in my laptop
The zoomer thing often didn't work
Whenever i restarted my laptop i had to go back into the Programm and rearrange my hot keys
It often doesn't work due to the faulty 3 in 1 cable (loose connection, no signal)
Screen would often turn yellow/just stop displaying things (again due to the cable)
Can you draw when it's it is not attached in the computer?
No, it needs to be attached to a computer, it's essentially like...a mouse but with a screen and a pen???

As to the problem of the tablet laying flat, it would be worth looking in pound shops or dimes shops for laptop support to raise to a more suitable level

I few years ago ~2-3 yrs my sister's boyfriend [then fiancée, now husband (they're happy together!)] gifted me his old bamboo wacom tablet with stylus(?) as a birthday gift. I was so happy (i still am) so i want to give him a tablet as a gift for being , sacrificing and loving my sister for about 7 years.

Hey Mikey! First of all thanks for the videos you make. I've recently decided to get in to illustration and your tutorials have helped me out a good amount. I am currently looking to move from my wacom bamboo tablet to a beginner screen tablet. I am currently torn between the Huion Kamvas 11 and 13 versions and this Xp Pen 11 you just reviewed. Any specific differences that you can point out between them and which one would you reccomend?
Can someone explain to me why drawing tablet companies can’t seem to get rid of parallax? Premium companies like Wacom have been making VERY expensive, industry leading tablets for decades now and they still have parallax. Yet the iPad Pro has none? The iPad Pro has amazing drawing capabilities (maybe not to the same extent as Wacom) but the virtually zero parallax makes it a strong choice for most digital artists these days. My point is.... why are drawing tablet companies still making tablets with parallax in 2018 when none artist based companies like Apple got rid of parallax pretty much as soon as they introduced a stylus pen to their tablets?

@@yokaiju8909 The lag that happens between the pen tip and the drawing cursor on the screen. It causes an effect where your strokes have to "catch up" to where you've already drawn.
i have a kamvas pro 22 and i don't notice any parallax at all - i'm not gonna use an ipad cos its processing power is nothing compared to a desktop with desktop apps
i dont care about that little parallax, more relevant is that the device is jitter free and why the iPad Pro has no parallax is because there is zero space between dispaly and glas.

I just got this tablet right before Christmas, I got the holiday edition so it was $200 instead of the regular $250, it's a huge improvement from my old Wacom intuos. Although, I don't use the wall port for power, if you've got a tower PC it should put out enough power so you wouldn't need the USB extension or wall plug.
I never owned a graphic tablet, I always drew on my phone with my finger but I really wanna get a graphic tablet :') (i hope that graphic tablets work with notebooks-)

I have a lot of trouble drawing on a regular drawing tablet, but I can't afford any expensive tablets with screens. I don't pay for my art programs normally, not because I'm cheap, but because I just don't have the money. The fact that this exists is a literal godsend. I originally was going to spend an extremely long time saving up on a more expensive tablet, meanwhile, I have no idea if it's even something I'm going to be capable of getting used to.

Just so people know, $200 is a really good price. Though $200 is a lot, buying a Wacom display tablet, will run you more than double the price of this tablet. I haven't really checked the prices of Wacom display tablet, however I would estimate that there cheapest display tablet is around $800.
I have a question. Can this be connected in mobile? Or you have to connect it to a laptop before you can connect it to mobile?
