OEMs are better than aftermarket tuners. The gap is narrowed but it’s still substantial. A three series plus a bunch of upgrades will match a hyper car on the dyno but that’s about it. It’s great if it’s all you can afford but no one is cross shopping a car like this with one making 1k hp stock. Let’s be real. I can’t afford a hyper car so I boosted mine to the sky so I get the appeal.

The noise and the looks will always be on another level, and while they're expensive they'll retain their value very well. Reliability with such tuned cars is also a major concern whereas a V10 Lambo is proven.

The G80 M3 sitting that perfectly low with carbon bits is so beautiful and much better looking than the M4. I feel the rear has way more structure in design that flows with the rest of the car. You guys can hate on that grill...i love the look of the G80 M3 when done this way ❤️

I had a pure turbo F80 M3 making roughly 800hp. My favorite thing about modern straight 6 bmws is just the sheer amount of power they're capable of. With my current G82 M4, I'm not interested in destroying my warranty, but the S58 engine is ludicrously capable.
The sad part is that even with all these heavy tunes, a lot of big cash on top of already expensive car, yet still gets dusted by a stock Tesla Model S Plaid which can launch consistently every single time and costs £5 to fill up!
@borinvlogs nobody cares about the plaid. The interior is mediocre. There's a reason nobody talks about them in these comparison videos. After the acceleration it's not all that
I think the adro grille looks the best to put on the g80 but the Vorstiner and CSL def look better then the OG aswell. Its crazy what a simple aftermarket grille can do! Looks super aggresive
Tom and his workshop team are a good bunch too. They generally pop out to see us whenever we take our Rotax karts to Rednal Karting where the performance workshop is colocated.
I’ll be honest, I was a bit hesitant on the looks of the new M3 but it’s definitely grown on me for sure. Love the potential but still not a fan of how they sound. I’m biased though, driving a 5 cylinder spoils most car sounds. Great video 👍

No it doesn't, thats why there is such hype with this car. The pistons,rods,crank are all fully forged from factory and the engine block is closed-deck which means the block is designed to handle big boost like the 2JZ.

Slow Quarter Mile for 1000hp, in the states full bolt on cars with a E50 tune are running 9.7-9.5, was it because it’s wet or it’s not tuned for the quarter mile ?
Acceleration is similar actually. Alex said it did 60 in 2.6 and quarter mile in 9.8, so it is losing half a second in both, which is all in the launch. The extra weight of the Model S will always give it way more traction. That means this thing is doing well north of 150 through the quarter, and sounding great while doing it. Around a lap though, this will be way quicker

It looks like it’s on Cup2s at best which are not in any world going to hook properly from a dig with 1000hp, even with AWD. If they did run the official timed 1/4mi with these on the car that’s probably why, I think there’s a shot in the vid somewhere showing the thing just spinning all 4 tires on launch. I would think it needs some properly set up wheels and actual aired down and warmed up drag slicks (Hoosiers/MTs) to have any chance at dead hooking from the dig on a standing 1/4, even with a properly prepped surface. I don’t think the Europeans have the straight line stuff down as well as we do in NA, lol.
I wonder if the transmission and the other parts that transfer power to the wheels are rated to handle this power 😮 If they changed all those what’s left from BMW in that car??

Agreed. The M3 looks waaaay better than the M4. The design just works with the 4 doors. The rear haunches and wider rear fenders are great.

He's on street tires on a wet road and he wasn't exactly trying his best to run a 1/4 he was just having fun.
And it usually takes around 1,000hp or so to hit 9 sec at the 1/4 mile for pretty much any car.
