This is great! Thank you for this. But it does make me wonder why the British media doesn’t regard rallying relevant anymore. All these great programs back in the day. As a first language welsh speaker as well it was all the better 😜

As Ralio TypeR said in an earlier post,shame British television doesn't see rallying as relevant any more.Great programmes back then.Better than the rubbish we have to put up with nowadays.Oh,how times have changed....🤔

Part of it is do to with Rallying going the same way as F1 did 20 years before and the WRC controlling the coverage. Back in the 70s, 80s and up to the mid 90s it was up to the organisers of the rally in each country to decide who could film on there events and no one got turned away as the more tv crews that showed up the more promotion it was for their Rally. Now the WRC control all the media passes and what programmes go out. So they themselves are to blame in part for the fall in the interest in the WRC.

@@Marvdogger2 Yes mate,l totally agree.Seems to be all about control and money,so as you say,they only have themselves to blame.Must admit,I'm not into the current WRC at all.....

@@melvyncox3361 Same i used to watch it when Channel 4 had it and then when Dave used to show it but now i dont bother. Its too sanitised now anyway even if the cars are fast. The rallys are too short so a driver makes a mistake they are out of the running not like in the old days where they could catch up again.

@@Marvdogger2 Yes mate.The old days were certainly the best.Spectating on rallies was a real adventure,especially on the RAC.It all changed when they brought in the ticketing system.Killed it all off for me,and l find the modern stuff totally boring,even though they are fast!
Historics are the way to go,but again,expensive to get to and watch.Gone are the days when you could just get in to a stage!
