I happened upon this by accident. We didn't get much from overseas, so the first show I saw Rowan Atkinson in was Blackadder. He's timeless.

I had forgotten just how funny this programme was. A couple of bits that haven't aged well and I can't remember any reason they'd be having a go at Marc Almond but overall this still stands up well for me and I am now off to see if I can find some more episodes. Thanks for uploading this!

This was the Eiffel Tower of sketch comedies. It made household names of all 4 of its players: Atkinson, Smith, Jones and Stephenson. Plus, it launched the TV 📺 career of John Lloyd, who went on to produce Spitting Image, Blackadder (also with Atkinson) and QI, among other things. So, this was a seminal series at the time it arrived. Cheers 🥂 for this mate ❤ 😊

I once made someone laugh with an amazingly well told joke! She couldn't stop laughing for 4 hours and I had to take her into A and E where she was hospitalised for 6 months without any jokes at all being told to her. She eventually recovered but then accidentally went to a Bernhard Manning show and well she died 12 seconds into it!
