I’d like to imagine that in the future the Minutemen would extensively use the Springfield 05, M1 Garand, M16, Tompson, and Colt 1911 due to their respective armories being in the immediate vicinity of Boston.
I think due to the lack of guns they'll simply use everything they find and make a goofy ah copies of the founded guns. This series is so cool, it reminds me a bit of nexbil but it’s incredible to see how two similar concepts can have very unique lore. I’m still a little confused on the military in this timeline, are the Minutemen still like a separate army? Also I think it’d be cool to see how the military is organized as a whole, especially once you get around to the BOS war
The Minutemen are separate from the Military and technically separate from the Commonwealth Government as well. The way it works is that the President inherits the title of "General Of The Minutemen", but technically the Minutemen can revoke that title from the President and thus become fully independent from the Government. However, they would be unlikely to revoke the title because that would mean they would no longer receive funding from the Government. I have a lot more that I'd like to go into, but it's best saved for a future video. I'll likely make separate videos dedicated to exploring the Army, Marines/Navy, and Minutemen. There I'll explain the structure, history, and what their role within the Commonwealth's War Machine is. Also I've gotten a few comparisons to Nexbil. @420Ranger_Exile Yes, before the events of FO4 the Minutemen attempted to help form a Provisional Government for the Commonwealth. For a lot of people the natural thing is for a Post-FO4 Minutemen to attempt and do the same. This usually means the Minutemen become the official military and/or government for a United Commonwealth. However, I have a vision that is a bit different from that approach. In my timeline the Commonwealth Government forms thanks to the initiative of the Sole Survivor as opposed to the Minutemen as a whole. The Minutemen are then forced to either evolve, integrate, or disband. In the end they decide to evolve. When the Commonwealth Military is formed, a large amount of Minutemen refused to join and a deal is agreed upon by both parties to keep the Minutemen independent, but loyal to the Commonwealth Government. Basically to me the Minutemen could never be the rulers or the dominant force of a United Commonwealth. Instead they are a small, but important part of a larger machine.

Great video, really liking where this is going. Have to ask if the sole survivor is still supposed to be president in this video, or did somebody else win the presidency?
I was worried that people might get confused here. Basically this video skips a few years ahead of the first one. Between this video and the "Commonwealth Government" video the first Gunner war took place during the SS's second term as president. The war is short, brutal, and costly. The SS chooses not to run for a 3rd term and instead travels the American wasteland. From there you have a contested presidential race where Marine General Gallows wins and that's who you see in this video and thumbnail. I chose to leave it all out for the sake of time, but in retrospect it was poor decision because too much took place in between the two vids. Maybe I'll make another video in the future to cover the gap or I might just continue forward with the story. Anyways, thanks for watching and I hope I was able to clear up some of the confusion.
@@doubtitt Okay, I see. I think it could have worked if you had just said the president's name so the audience knew this was a different guy, or you could have made the sole survivor female in the first video and it would have been pretty obvious. I definitely would love to see a video on the first gunner war but I don't think anyone would be too mad if you just went forward on the timeline. Once again, wonderful video.
Ive just realised something, The commonwealth in this universe are just an eqst coast NCR, like what would a border interaction look like between the two powers?
I've talked about it a bit in the past, but basically they become allies. Both the Commonwealth and NCR are ideologically similar and share a common enemy in the Brotherhood. Naturally this makes them a pretty good match. The Commonwealth leads the alliance in the East and the NCR in the West.

That'll come after the next 2 episodes. There will be some minor mentions regarding what's going on in Far Harbor, but we'll dive into that conflict after the Railroad videos. Will probably also have at least one video on the Marines between now and then since they'll play a pretty big role in the conflict.
Basically this video skips a few years ahead. It doesn't really touch much on what happened between the first video and this one so it has led to some confusion. But the short and simple version is that he served his second term and then retired from politics after overseeing the First Gunner War. He's meant to be a sort of George Washington type figure so he was never going to stick around forever. Though I do have some plans for possibly bringing him back in the future alongside everyone's favorite shadow government. But that's still just an idea at this point.
Well an entire project can take anywhere from 1 - 3 months depending on how much times I have to work on it and how long the video is. - Script writing usually takes a couple of days to a week. - Voice lines take about a day. - A couple of seconds of footage can take up to an hour depending on how complex it is. This usually takes the longest amount of time. - Finally I polish it up with music, sound effects, and visual effects. That usually takes a couple of days. It all depends on how much time I have, but a story focused project like this will always be at least a month or so.
Just do it. I doubt our stories will be the same in the end. Most people would likely be open to it either way because the community is small and lacking content. Plus, people will always find a reason to call you a rip off of x or y thing. I've only had one such person, but most people have been kind and expressed their interest in seeing more. So it's not like viewers have an issue with it and I doubt creators would either. Nexbil is probably the biggest in this sphere and he's encouraged others who are interested in creating this type of content to do so. Apart from him there aren't really any other big names (at least that I know of). And for what its worth, I don't have an issue with people making this type of content. This is just for fun to me and I'd love to see more people making this sort of speculative/alt timeline stuff. So just do it and good luck.
Institute remnants are still around. Some sided with the Gunners while others just hid away. They don't really control any territory, but I try to show where they still have some presence. This video was inspired by the Armchair Historian videos. In the same style of those videos, this video only focuses on the conflict itself and leaves out some of the context prior to its beginning. However, it doesn't really work as well when trying to create a story vs telling one that already exist. Going forward I'll try to keep things more linear instead of jumping ahead in the timeline so it's easier to follow. Hope that helps to clear things up. Thanks for watching.
@@doubtitt No problem man it does make sense. A faction doesn't go extinct immediately. It would be cool to see the institute re set up somewhere else and try to be more peaceful
@@doubtitt Also if I was you I would delete your old videos. I had tons of random videos on my channel and it makes it easier to rebrand your channel if you delete your old videos.
Wait a minute. SECOND Gunner War? Ceasefire? President Gallows?! Di- Did I miss something? The most recent Fallout video you posted was the Minutemen uniform evolution. When did this Gunner-Institute Alliance happen?
There was another war between the Commonwealth and Gunners before this. That was during the Sole Survivor's 2nd term in office. Originally this video was supposed to cover both wars, but I had cut out the part of the first war because I felt the video would be too long and I didn't think people would be interested. The first gunner war happened only a few years before this one. Neither side was able to fully overcome the other so they agreed on a ceasefire. Gallows was a well known and high ranking general in the Commonwealth Marines. He ran and won the nomination for the Commonwealth's National Party which is one of the 2 major political parties. The Institute remnants that wanted revenge for what the Commonwealth did, allied themselves with the Gunners. They provided them with tech and were planning on restoring synths to help boost their ranks. Obviously that never came to be and most synths would never see the frontline again.
@@doubtitt I see. Well thank you for clarifying. However for future reference, there’s no such thing as “too long” or “no one would be interested” when it comes to these kinds of videos. The more information, the better. Though I am confused as to why you thought no one would be interested in an entire war. Regardless, this series is fire and I can’t wait to see more. Stay Safe!
@@Atlas_Summit At the time my first Fallout video had only gotten about 10-ish views. I wasn't going to upload anymore Fallout content at all, but then I uploaded the uniform vid. That did well and people started watching the first video too. Since the first video didn't do well on release, I figured people weren't interested on the longer content or the more government/politics related topics. So I cut the first war out and just jumped straight to the 2nd one since that was the more interesting and action packed of the two. I'll probably get around to covering it at some point in the future. There will be some more lore when I release the full "Early History Of The Commonwealth" vid that will cover that time period. For now tho Far Harbor is likely next.
Yeah, but there wasn't really much that could be done. Both sides use green, but the Gunners wear combat armor while Commonwealth troops mostly just used the basic vest. Commonwealth Army also uses the R91 and M1 Helmet while the Gunners do not.

This looks a lot more different from my MM FO4 gameplay, in which I destroyed the Prywden and had Minutemen Liberators all over the commonwealth and the Gunnars were like a small inconvenience(I used a mod called Liberty Reborn on Xbox because a mod called “WE ARE THE MINUTEMEN” or Militarized Minutemen were on Nexus mods for PC so I made do with this one).
Tbh in my lore i would have the commonwealth brotherhood merg with the minutemen and become the minutemens 2nd navel defense force and tbh i just dont see the minutemen wanting to just destroy such a great airship
I'm stupid, the name was mentioned lol
@@HaZe_Gawky The TTS voice can be hard to understand sometimes lol
Ive just realised something, The commonwealth in this universe are just an eqst coast NCR, like what would a border interaction look like between the two powers?
I've talked about it a bit in the past, but basically they become allies. Both the Commonwealth and NCR are ideologically similar and share a common enemy in the Brotherhood.
Naturally this makes them a pretty good match. The Commonwealth leads the alliance in the East and the NCR in the West.
hey, what was that BoS vertibird mod? also great video, loved it!
Pretty sure that's just the vanilla vertibird.

I have more mods installed that aren't in this video, but I don't really play Fallout anymore. I only use it to make videos like this so I base my modlist around videos and not gameplay.
Awesome video! Seriously, Chris Avellone would be proud! This stuff belongs in the Fallout Bible.
Thank you. I'm glad you're enjoying the content.
What mods do you use? Btw keep up the awesome work 👍
There's way too many to just list them all, but if there's anything you see that sticks out to you then I can probably find the mod. And thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the video.

What happened to the sole survivor i thought he was the president
Retired
The minute men the true successor of the USA
Far Harbour Intervention Next? Better be good!
That'll come after the next 2 episodes. There will be some minor mentions regarding what's going on in Far Harbor, but we'll dive into that conflict after the Railroad videos. Will probably also have at least one video on the Marines between now and then since they'll play a pretty big role in the conflict.
What happened to the sole survivor as president?
Basically this video skips a few years ahead. It doesn't really touch much on what happened between the first video and this one so it has led to some confusion.
But the short and simple version is that he served his second term and then retired from politics after overseeing the First Gunner War. He's meant to be a sort of George Washington type figure so he was never going to stick around forever.
Though I do have some plans for possibly bringing him back in the future alongside everyone's favorite shadow government. But that's still just an idea at this point.
Bro, how much time did you spent, doing the scenarios?
Well an entire project can take anywhere from 1 - 3 months depending on how much times I have to work on it and how long the video is.
- Script writing usually takes a couple of days to a week.
- Voice lines take about a day.
- A couple of seconds of footage can take up to an hour depending on how complex it is. This usually takes the longest amount of time.
- Finally I polish it up with music, sound effects, and visual effects. That usually takes a couple of days.
It all depends on how much time I have, but a story focused project like this will always be at least a month or so.
Man I had idea for a series extremely simular to this. Wish I didn't give up cause now I'd be a rip off
@@doubtitt well I guess Operation Kyle and the UCA's clamation of the Consitution are interesting stories

Wait why is there an institute on the map? Does the institute still exist somehow?
@@doubtitt Sweet. Keep up the good work!

Kinda hard to distinguish the two forces, they all look alike.
Yeah, but there wasn't really much that could be done. Both sides use green, but the Gunners wear combat armor while Commonwealth troops mostly just used the basic vest. Commonwealth Army also uses the R91 and M1 Helmet while the Gunners do not.
